Krispy Kreme fans go wild for new pistachio doughnut after Brits demanded it be brought to UK
KRISPY Kreme has delighted its fans by bring a sought-after flavour to the UK.
The American doughnut brand was hounded by its UK customers to introduce the Pistachio Overload flavour that had already hit stores in Australia.

Krispy Kreme told The Sun that "Brits begged the brand to bring the new flavour to the UK after seeing the delicious nutty treat go viral in Australia last month."
Not only has Krispy Kreme brought the flavour from Australia to the UK, it teamed up with a British company to produce the yummy taste.
The Pistachio Overload doughnut officially made it into stores on Monday (May 12), but was available at Krispy Kremes in Manchester a day earlier.
That was due to the fact Krispy Kreme had teamed up with the Mancunian brand, Blackmilk, to create the iconic dessert.
Blackmilk's beloved Pistachio Cream spread is being used in the baking of the new doughnut flavour.
The green delight is topped with the Blackmilk cream, a white chocolate drizzle and candied pistachio nibs, while Krispy Kreme's trademarked pistachio cream fills the doughnut.
Krispy Kreme confirmed to The Sun that Pistachio Overload will be available for £3.49 in all UK and Ireland stores until May 25.
It will land in Tesco UK branches on May 19 until May 25.

Krispy Kreme announced the doughnut's arrival on social media and said it hoped the news would make up for the April Fools' joke it had played on its followers.
On April 1, the brand posted a "message" from its managing director saying that after 87 years, it would be discontinuing its famous glazed doughnut.
The joke letter said the decision had been made in order to create space for the reintroduced, raspberry glazed doughnut.
The jam-filled treat was first discontinued in November 2024, causing a stir among sweet-toothed customers.
Even Alison Hammond begged the brand not to axe her favourite flavour on ITV's This Morning.
The flavour is back by popular demand thanks to a nationwide public vote - dubbed "The Great Doughbate".
This poll took place in Krispy Kreme shops and across social media between March 17 and 23.
Fans were given the opportunity to decide which discontinued favourite flavour to bring back.
The Glazed Raspberry was pitted against another fan favourite, Chocolate Custard.
However, the fruity flavour won out with the British public, receiving 66% of the total votes.

After bringing a blockbuster hologram version of Abba to a purpose-built venue in east London, Björn Ulvaeus's next technological exploration is a musical that he's written with the help of artificial intelligence. Ulvaeus told an audience at SXSW London that he was 'three-quarters' of the way through writing a new musical which he has created with assistance from AI songwriting tools. He did admit the technology had limitations when it comes to songwriting, saying it was 'lousy at [writing a whole song]' and 'very bad at lyrics' but was helpful whenever the 80-year-old songwriter reached a creative impasse. 'You can prompt a lyric you have written about something, and you're stuck maybe, and you want this song to be in a certain style,' Ulvaeus said. 'You can ask it, how would you extend? Where would you go from here? It usually comes out with garbage, but sometimes there is something in it that gives you another idea.' The use of AI is a hugely contentious issue in the music industry. This year, Dua Lipa and Paul McCartney were among hundreds of artists who signed an open letter urging the prime minister to protect artists' copyright and not 'give our work away' to big tech. Ulvaeus said AI isn't the creative threat but rather a collaborator. 'It's fantastic. It is such a great tool,' he added. 'It is like having another songwriter in the room with a huge reference frame. It is really an extension of your mind. You have access to things that you didn't think of before.' The musical is far from Ulvaeus's first flirtation with technology. Abba Voyage, the concert which launched three years ago in a purpose-built arena that featured digital avatars of the band, has been a huge success and was described as a 'dazzling retro-futurist extravaganza' by the Guardian. It was a risky venture as Pophouse Entertainment, the company behind the project needed to bring in £140m in order to break even. He told the audience at SXSW London that he embraced experimental approaches to songwriting and studio technology much earlier in his career. This experimental approach is characteristic of Ulvaeus's career-long fascination with technological innovation. During his time in Abba, he along with bandmate Benny Andersson 'always wanted the latest thing', and were among the first to use the Mini Moog synthesizer and use digital recording machines in their studio. 'We were always on the lookout for, you know, you would hear a sound on the record. How was that done? And then you get that stuff,' said. The Abba songwriter told the audience that he sees AI as the latest evolution in his career rather than a threat which is how it is perceived by many. 'I actually wake up curious every morning,' Ulvaeus said, explaining the drive that has kept him creating decades after Abba's peak. 'Everything's really after our wanting to try new things.'

Tom Aspinall has doubled down on his claim that Jon Jones has retired, telling The Independent: 'People think I'm joking, but it's the truth.' Aspinall has held the interim UFC heavyweight title since knocking out Sergei Pavlovich in November 2023, when an injured Jon Jones was unable to defend the regular belt against Stipe Miocic. Jones finally returned 12 months later and stopped Miocic, but only after Aspinall made the rare move of defending the interim title, which he retained with a knockout of Curtis Blaydes last July. As a result of the Briton's victory and Jones's success against fellow American Miocic, the pair should have been paired in a title unification bout by now. However, 38-year-old Jones has refused to commit to such a contest, never publicly saying he will fight Aspinall, 32. That led the Wigan heavyweight to tell Chael Sonnen and Daniel Cormier, two of Jones's former opponents, this week: 'Jon's retired [...] The guy's living his best life, he's had a fantastic career, we all know. We know Jon's a religious man, so I want to say: God bless him moving forward with what he does in his life and career. 'We move on. I'm the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, I'm ready to take on all comers, get this division moving again. Us guys have been waiting around too long. Fans may interpret those updates as Aspinall having agreed a return date with the UFC but without Jones being confirmed as his opponent. EastEnders star Clair Norris admits she's ‘upset' over axing – and has already filmed her ‘dramatic' exit
EASTENDERS star Clair Norris has opened up about her devastating exit from the hit BBC One soap, admitting that she was upset by the decision to axe her. The actress, 27, joined the cast as Bernie Taylor back in 2017, but following the departure of her entire family over the last few years, the soap's top boss decided to axe her much-loved character. 3 3 However despite the 'upsetting' decision, Clair now says she's excited for the future. Speaking on the red carpet at the British Soap Awards, which is being screened on ITV1 tomorrow night at 8pm, she said: 'Obviously it's upsetting but also I'd been there for eight years, which is a long time to play a character, and I have absolutely loved being in the show. 'They gave me the opportunity to learn on the job and also now I am able take that onto other things that I do. 'Of course it's sad but at the same time it felt like a natural end, with the Taylors being gone, it kind of felt right. I'm now very excited about the future." Clair revealed how she took her character's iconic coat as a memento as well as the Walford Pride t-shirt she wore during the soap's first ever gay pride event. She said: "I have taken Bernie's coat. It was so iconic! And also the t-shirt that Bernie wore for Pride with 'Walford Pride' on it, little bits here and there. Also her badge when it was her birthday." The actress was keeping tight-lipped about the exact details of her exit, which she filmed last month, but teased that 'bad Bernie' will be back.
