(Video) Did Bella Astillah & Syed Saddiq Confirm Their Rumoured Romance?

Hype Malaysia17 hours ago
Ever since actress-singer Bella Astillah and politician Syed Saddiq collaborated as models for fashion brand Primavalet earlier this year, rumours of a romantic relationship between the pair have been a hot topic among fans. Many are convinced they are an item, citing the amount of time they spend together outside of work as well as the occasional (and sometimes not-so-subtle) romantic gestures.
Although they have not been making much effort to keep their relationship under wraps recently, the two stars have never explicitly confirmed they are dating. However, during a recent livestream, they may have fuelled the rumours when they posed to each other the very question everyone else has been asking. Here's the story:
Over the weekend, Syed Saddiq hosted a TikTok livestream with Bella Astillah. At one point during the broadcast, the starlet turned the camera towards the politician to tease him, asking if he was single. Surprisingly, he admitted he was 'unavailable' before directing the question back to the actress. She replied: 'No, I'm not single. Are you happy?'. The Member of Parliament was then visibly flustered by her response.
Although the two public figures did not specify who they were dating, that moment during the livestream instantly went viral among fans, many of whom took it as a confession that they are a couple. Some urged Bella Astillah and Syed Saddiq to stop playing charades and get married, while others remarked on how adorable the pair were when teasing each other, particularly the politician's reaction to Bella's answer about her relationship status.
It is true that Bella and Syed Saddiq have never explicitly referred to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend, nor have they openly discussed their relationship. However, their jokes, teasing, and even winning the Anugerah Melodi award for Hottest Celebrity Couple are, to many, proof enough that they hold a very important place in each other's lives.

Newsday Announces Groundbreaking Change to its Mobile App

Newsday's App Is Now a Vertical Video First Application MELVILLE, N.Y., Aug. 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Newsday Media Group, an innovative leader in digital media, today unveiled a groundbreaking change to it mobile application – the Newsday app will now primarily feature vertical video. Newsday is the first local media organization to feature predominantly vertical (9:16 aspect ratio) video content on its app, making it optimized for immersive, mobile-native storytelling. Unlike traditional, horizontal-oriented platforms, Newsday's app will now provide a better viewing experience that embraces the way Newsday's mobile-first audiences hold their phones. Studies have shown that those who view videos on mobile rarely rotate their devices, and vertical content consistently outperforms horizontal in engagement and completion rates. 'The viewing habits of many Newsday readers have evolved and by embracing a vertical format in our Newsday app, we are meeting users where they are and providing the experience they now require,' said Newsday's Publisher Debby Krenek. Newsday's launch of vertical video marks a pivotal moment in Newsday's mobile video strategy. In 2023, Newsday Media Group launched NewsdayTV which gave audiences a new video streaming service providing exclusive access to the best of Newsday on television screens. The Newsday app will now feature more of Newsday's popular social media video cuts made from and NewsdayTV content. The single 9:16 videos will work seamlessly across TikTok, Reels, Shorts and other vertical first platforms. The Newsday app is available now on iOS and Android. (Video) Colombian Singer Maluma Calls Out Mother For Bringing Her Baby To His Concert

Concerts are known for their high energy, loud music, and packed crowds; elements that make them exciting for fans, but potentially dangerous for young children. With audio levels often reaching 100 decibels or more, prolonged exposure can risk serious hearing damage, especially in infants and toddlers. For this reason, it's generally advised not to bring young children to these environments unless proper precautions are taken. Ultimately, it's the responsibility of parents to assess whether a concert is safe for their child and to take appropriate measures if they choose to bring them. However, that isn't always the case. One recent example unfolded during Maluma's '+Pretty +Dirty' world tour in Mexico City, where the singer interrupted his own performance to address a situation he couldn't ignore. In the middle of his set, Maluma noticed a woman in the audience holding a baby, who the singer later learned was no older than one year. Concerned, he paused the show and spoke directly to the mother. As a father to a young child himself, he expressed disbelief and frustration, pointing out the harm such a loud environment could cause to a baby's developing ears. 'That baby doesn't even know what it's doing here,' Maluma said to the mother. 'Next time, protect their ears or something. For real. It's heavy. It's your responsibility.' His words were met with applause and cheers from the audience, many of whom supported his stance. The clip of the exchange quickly went viral, spreading far beyond Maluma's fan base. Many netizens echoed his concerns, highlighting a growing issue: while parents deserve time to unwind and enjoy themselves, that freedom shouldn't come at the expense of a child's safety. Whether it's bringing them to a concert without ear protection to putting them onto the stage, no moment of entertainment is worth compromising a child's well-being. More than just a viral moment, this incident served as a powerful reminder that fun and responsibility can, and should, coexist. Parents can still enjoy experiences like concerts, but it's essential to remain aware and ensure that their choices don't inadvertently put their children at risk.
