Film Icons' Rarely-Seen Twins Step Into the Spotlight for Stunning Public Appearance With Mom & Dad

Miami Herald09-07-2025
Paris Fashion Week's haute couture spotlight brightened as legendary actors Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance made a rare and stylish appearance with their 19‑year‑old twins.
The teens, Slater and Bronwyn Vance, attended the Stéphane Rolland Fall/Winter 2025–2026 show in the European city on Tuesday, July 8, alongside their famous parents. The longtime couple, who tied the knot in Oct. 1997, and their children delighted onlookers-not just for their iconic status, but for their impeccable family coordination during the joint outing.
For the fashionable function, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star, 66, chose a sleeveless, flowy chocolate-colored dress, perfectly complimenting her bronzy skin tone. She accessorized the look with a thick cuff bangle and platform pumps, perfectly balancing summery elegance with Parisian poise.
Bassett's beauty look was kept simple, as she wore her dark brown tresses down, middle-parted in loose curls.
The Preacher's Wife star, 65, for his part, matched his wife with subtle accents, donning a warm weather staple: a crisp linen suit worn over a classic white button-up. A fedora, featuring a brown detailing, sat atop his head, while he finished the look off with shiny brown oxfords.
Bronwyn and Slater echoed their parents' warm tones, the former choosing a rust-colored floor-length gown with draping in the front, and the latter going with a chic white top paired with black slacks, a stylish topper and oversized ombré sunglasses. Together, they created a polished and harmonious familial unit, stepping into the spotlight alongside their legendary mom and dad.
Among other luminaries in attendance, Cardi B was seen front row beside Bassett, with the two even being captured chatting during the event and snapping photos together. The hip-hop hitmaker went avant-garde for the appearance, rocking an over-the-top black-and-white hooded number that instantly turned heads.

The Breezy Summer Trousers Trend Fashion Insiders Can't Stop Wearing

While it might be hard for us to agree on a name (genie, bubble, or balloon pants), there's one thing fashion insiders are in consensus on: These breezy, voluminous trousers are the answer to all of your summer dilemmas. Yes, shorts are an obvious choice, but if you're looking for a sophisticated, heatwave-proof alternative—I'm talking fashion editor-level chicness—the roomy silhouette of balloon trousers is the cool, comfortable alternative, especially as temperatures continue to rise. So, which brands are leading the sartorial race? At the forefront, we have the Parisian fashion house Alaïa. The maison made a convincing case for the architectural shape at its spring/summer 2025 presentation. Multiple models were sent down the runway with the fabric of the loose-fit pants swishing back and forth, including one of our patron saints of early trend adoption: Kendall Jenner. The distinct shape traces back to Persia and the Ottoman Empire, and over the years, some iterations have taken on an undeniable bohemian flair. For its SS25 collection, Chloé leaned into the eclectic aesthetic, incorporating lace insets, floral prints, and sheer fabrics into the designs. Naturally, the trend is starting to pop up in stores. Helsa released a few iterations that are already quickly selling out, but there's a host of options on Free People's website. And ASOS offers an army of styles that come in fun prints and solids—at a fraction of the price. Now's your moment to test out a pair of the playful, yet chic, bubble pants—no genie lamp needed. Everything We Know About Billie Eilish's New 3D Project With James Cameron

On Saturday, Billie Eilish announced that director James Cameron was in the audience at her Manchester concert, and he wasn't just enjoying the music. The duo is planning a 3D film experience together that appears to be in production throughout her four nights at the U.K. venue. Here's everything we know about the experimental concert film so far. The film is being recorded during Eilish's Manchester concerts from her Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, which she launched for her third studio album. On July 19, she told the excited audience, 'So, you may have noticed there's more cameras than usual up here. Basically, I can't say much about it, but what I can say is I'm working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it's going to be in 3D.' Eilish continued, 'So, take that as you will, and these four shows her in Manchester, you and me, are part of a thing that I'm making with James.' Eilish has three more shows planned in Manchester following the announcement, on July 20, 22, and 23. Her next shows are set for Dublin on July 26 and 27, but it sounds like Cameron may not be recording them. If that's it for filming, the release likely depends on post-production. Eilish has not shared anymore information about how she and the Titanic director connected over this project. In 2023, Eilish shared a bit about her collaboration process when talking to IndieWire, specifically about her work with brother Finneas O'Connell. 'Every time we do anything in another world, it's just very inspiring in so many ways, like, 'Damn, what could we do? What could we make happen?' she said. 'It feels like training in a way. It feels like we're working on a muscle that we really want to be bulky.' The Hit Me Hard and Soft tour started in October 2024 and concludes in November 2025. The European leg ends this month and then Eilish will be heading to Japan in August. She returns to the United States in October, finishing up in California. This post will be updated.
