Jeff Teague picks Isaiah Thomas over Jalen Brunson despite the star's All-NBA rise and playoff run
Jalen Brunson
has a chance to leave his stamp on the NBA history and become one of the New York Knicks' greatest players as the upcoming season approaches. Although it's never easy to compete for a championship, his rise to fame has helped the team finish close to the top of the East in recent years.
However, NBA All-Star Jeff Teague, isn't convinced that Jalen Brunson is superior to former Boston Celtics' star Isaiah Thomas.
Jeff Teague downplays Jalen Brunson's rise, claims Isaiah Thomas was the better scorer and overall player
Jalen Brunson, the star of the
New York Knicks
, has been nothing short of extraordinary since he moved to Madison Square Garden in 2022. He helped the team come around and even led them to their first Eastern Conference Finals in 25 years this past season.
Thanks to the star player, the New York Knicks are now able to contend for a championship.
He has developed into one of the league's best guards since coming to New York. He further led the team to the third-best record in the East last season.

However, the former NBA All-Star Baron Davis realized that Jalen Brunson alone would not be enough to bring an NBA championship. This happened after the team lost to the Indiana Pacers in six games in the
Eastern Conference
Finals. Baron Davis pointed to Indiana's pressure and restricting Jalen Brunson's movement. He further stated on Paul George's Podcast P:
"Nobody can stop him… But if you watch what Indiana did, the half-court became another defender.
His space got limited. They need another guard to handle pressure, bring the ball up, and let him operate one-on-one late in games."
On the other hand,
Jeff Teague
isn't convinced that Jalen Brunson is superior to Isaiah Thomas. The former was a 5-foot-9 MVP candidate in Boston in 2017. Although his career was brief, he was among the league's finest, which is why Jeff Teague sided with him in a dispute.
During his appearance in Club 520 Podcast on July 15, he said:
'I'm taking IT… I am, they do the same s—, and IT do it better really.'

When asked who is a better scorer as well as a better player, Jeff Teague went all out. He continued:
'I swear to god I'm not being biased… I watched Jalen Brunson grow up, but [Thomas] averaged 30. He averaged 30.'
In 2016-17,
Isaiah Thomas
had his best season. However, next season, Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks will have a chance to put an end to this dispute on the floor.

Cowboys star Micah Parsons drops cryptic 'One Last Time' GIF amid contract standoff
Micah Parsons stirs trade speculation with one cryptic GIF (Image via: Getty Images) The Dallas Cowboys and star linebacker Micah Parsons are locked in a contract battle that has grabbed the attention of NFL fans. Parsons, the heart of the Cowboys' defense, is growing frustrated with team owner Jerry Jones as negotiations drag on. His recent social media post has only fueled speculation that he could soon push for a trade if his demands aren't met. Micah Parsons pushes for massive deal amid growing trade talk Parsons is entering the final stretch of his five-year rookie contract and is expecting a massive raise. He reportedly wants to become one of the highest-paid non-quarterbacks in the NFL, aiming for a deal similar to Pittsburgh Steelers' star T.J. Watt. According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, the linebacker is prepared to either request a trade or cut ties with the team if the Cowboys refuse to meet his price. The tension became public when Parsons posted a GIF captioned 'one last time' on Thursday night, sparking trade rumors across social media. He has openly said he wants to remain in Dallas but also made it clear that the decision is in the front office's hands. 'I want to be here. I've always said I want to be here,' Parsons explained last week. 'But at the end of the day, they sign the checks like always. Jerry and Stephen Jones are known for tough negotiations and often wait until the last moment to finalize deals with their star players. They used the same strategy with quarterback Dak Prescott, ultimately signing him to a huge extension after months of uncertainty. The Cowboys could be cautious about giving Parsons a long-term deal because of injury concerns, which have burned them in the past. But unless a team offers a blockbuster trade package, Dallas is unlikely to let its defensive anchor go. Parsons is too valuable to their Super Bowl hopes, and history suggests the Cowboys will eventually get a deal done. Lalit Modi Posts New Photos Of Him And Vijay Mallya - This Time At Oval
Fugitive billionaires Lalit Modi and Vijay Mallya have now shared photos of them enjoying the India-England test match at the Oval in London. In posts on Instagram and X on Friday, Mr Modi, who founded the Indian Premier League and fled India in 2010 after several allegations of financial wrongdoing, shared photos of him with Mr Mallya and others at the famed cricket stadium. The other people in the photos include explosive West Indies batsman Chris Gayle - who also played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru - and Farokh Engineer, one of the original poster boys for Indian cricket. He captioned the Instagram post, "Enjoying the cricket at the #oval with @rima1b and Vijay Mallya and lots of friends." In the post with the photos with Vijay Mallya, he wrote, "At the oval with @TheVijayMallya #universeboss #chrisgayle." Mr Mallya, 69, the former chairman of United Breweries and promoter of the now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines, fled India in 2016 after allegations of fraud. The Indian government declared him a "fugitive economic offender" under the Fugitive Economic Offenders Act. The businessman had defaulted on loans and owes banks in India approximately 9,000 crore. In a podcast in June, he had said he would "seriously consider" returning to India if he is assured of a fair trial and a dignified existence. Earlier this month, Mr Modi had also shared a video of him and Mr Mallya singing Frank Sinatra's 'My Way' at a gathering hosted by the IPL founder at his residence in London. That gathering of over 300 people also included Chris Gayle.
