MATAALI BENJAMIN - Minnesota
Only a few months ago at the Rivals Camp Series stop in Los Angeles, Benjamin had Arkansas, Nebraska and Utah as his three front-runners with Oklahoma State also in the mix. Nary a word was mentioned about Minnesota.

But the Golden Gophers do great with players like Benjamin – huge offensive linemen who can use some tweaking and some weight on them to become even better players.
At 6-foot-8 and 314 pounds, the three-star offensive lineman from Lehi (Utah) Skyridge is filled with potential that could be tapped within the Minnesota program.

G'NIVRE CARR - Florida
A few weeks ago at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, Carr told Rivals national recruiting analyst John Garcia Jr. that he wanted to take his recruitment to December and that he wasn't in a rush to make a decision.

Over the weekend, he committed to Florida on his opening official visit of the month as the Gators beat out Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Colorado and many others.
It could get interesting if Carr decides to take his other trips but the Gators landed a powerful interior offensive lineman who will help in Gainesville.

GAVIN DAY - Washington
A few months ago, USC had become a contender for Day after it offered the four-star safety from Las Vegas (Nev.) Faith Lutheran. Arizona, Iowa, Texas A&M and many others were involved but Washington emerged as the main contender prior to his visit.

There was some chatter that if things went well in Seattle, he would commit and that's exactly what happened.
Day could be one of the next big defensive backs in a long line that have played for the Huskies.

TYLER DUELL - Rutgers
The Pennsylvania state rankings are loaded at the top with elite offensive linemen but Duell should not be overlooked as the four-star from West Chester (Pa.) West Chester East committed to Rutgers over Cincinnati, Kentucky, Pittsburgh and others over the weekend.
At 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds, Duell can push people around and he also has great athleticism to get to the second level.

ELISHA FAAMATUANIU - Cal
Arizona State was a major early contender but Cal continued to pursue the Murrieta (Calif.) Murrieta Valley high three-star offensive lineman and his connection to position coach Famika Anae was a big selling point in his weekend commitment to the Golden Bears.
Faamatuaniu stepped up his game in a big way at the recent Rivals Camp Series in Los Angeles and he has position versatility so he can be used all over in Berkeley.

DOMINIC HARRIS - Washington
Fresh off a visit to Auburn that went really well and with Oregon, Arizona and UNLV making a serious push for the versatile high three-star offensive tackle from Las Vegas (Nev.) Clark, Harris committed to Washington during his weekend trip.
The Huskies were always in the forefront of his recruitment but it was expected he might take more visits before deciding. Harris is massive at 6-foot-7 and 320 pounds, but it wouldn't be a shock if he played inside.
CARTER LUCKIE - Georgia
His brother, Lawson, plays at Georgia. His father and two uncles played for Georgia. It always felt inevitable that the four-star defensive end from Norcross, Ga., would end up playing for the Bulldogs and his commitment happened over the weekend on yet another trip to Athens.
Luckie was just on campus for the recent Scavenger Hunt and his relationship with position coach Tray Scott was big as well.

DANIEL MCMORRIS - Minnesota
Despite being from Norman (Okla.) North, Oklahoma never offered McMorris as the long-time Minnesota lean picked the Golden Gophers over Oregon State, Tulsa, Kansas State and Iowa State over the weekend.
There are some traits here that we love as McMorris is 6-foot-6 and 270 pounds so he's not completely filled out yet, plus he has really long arms. All that should bode well in the coming years.
TYRELL SIMPSON - Rutgers
His father played at Maryland and his brother went to Duke but neither program ended up offering the high three-star offensive lineman from Leland (N.C.) North Brunswick. That is to Rutgers' gain as his relationship with the coaching staff there played a huge role in his commitment as the Scarlet Knights loaded up over the weekend with six pledges.

PRINCE TAVIZON - Oregon
A couple weeks ago at the Long Beach Millikan Tournament of Champions, Tavizon was not hiding his favorites: Oregon was the front-runner and the Ducks would be tough to beat and then there was also serious interest in USC.
But the 2027 four-star from San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln was always leaning toward the Ducks and on his weekend visit, he committed.
As an edge rusher or a linebacker, Tavizon brings a ton of versatility to that defense.

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy recently announced the expansion of its Milton campus, made possible through the generosity of Mike Papantonio, a senior partner at Levin Papantonio law firm, and other community donors. The new building, located at 6225 Dixie Road, will accommodate middle and high school students, helping meet the overwhelming demand for quality Christian education in the area. Since its founding over two decades ago, LPCA has been committed to providing a Christ-centered education to students in need. The school's rapid growth in Milton, where enrollment quickly reached capacity, underscored the urgent need for expansion. Until now, LPCA has operated out of a leased church space, with limited room for growth. With the new building, the school will separate its K-5 students, who will remain at the church, and move its 6-12th grade students into a dedicated campus. LPCA campuses have always had a math and science focus. The new Milton campus will feature not only traditional academic programs but also a unique agricultural component. The school will leverage the property's five acres, blueberry fields, and greenhouses to provide students with hands-on learning experiences in both STEM and agricultural commerce. LPCA invites the community to celebrate this expansion and learn more about its mission to provide high-quality Christian education. Now, that dream is a reality thanks to Escambia County assistance programs, which provided Bonner with a new home that she and her family can enjoy for years to come. After living in her previous home for over 25 years, Bonner said she experienced numerous issues with the house that became unmanageable and overwhelming, including electrical problems, major leaks, roof and flooring issues, and more. In need of help, she applied for the Escambia County Neighborhood and Human Services Department's Housing Demo and Replacement Program, which demolishes deteriorating houses and replaces them with brand-new houses for income-eligible residents in need. The program is funded through a grant from the State Housing Initiatives Partnership, or SHIP, program. Bonner said the new home is lifechanging for her, especially since she will now have a clean, safe space to host her children, grandchildren, and other family members. Foreign Buyers Are Fleeing the South Florida Condo Market
Foreign buyers have long powered South Florida's condo market, but many are now pulling out because of high interest rates, expensive prices and, more recently, restrictive immigration policies. The Miami Association of Realtors reports that home sales to foreign buyers dropped to 10 percent of all transactions in the region from August 2023 to July 2024, the lowest level since 2015 and a stark drop from 50 percent in 2018. The study polled nearly 2,400 real estate agents in South Florida's Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Martin counties. Foreign buyers were defined as those who were not U.S. citizens and whose primary residence was abroad, as well as U.S. visa holders for at least six months and green card holders for less than two years. Most foreign buyers in South Florida come from Latin America, with that region accounting for nearly 60 percent of buyers last year. They've been attracted not just by Florida's year-round sun, but because real estate investments in the United States were considered safe from the prying hands of their home governments. After South Florida's housing bubble burst in 2007, international buyers flooded in to take advantage of reasonable prices and low interest rates. 'During the Great Recession, foreign buyers bailed out the South Florida condo market,' said Peter Zalewski, an independent condo analyst based in Miami. Covid-19 changed the calculus. South Florida became one of the nation's hottest and priciest markets when American buyers, desperate to escape pandemic restrictions, gobbled up the supply. Meanwhile, rising interest rates and a strong dollar drove down foreign demand. Foreign Buyers Step Back Foreign buyers have long dominiated in South Florida, but the their share of the market as measured in dollars has fallen to the lowest point since 2015. Faced with expensive assessments, sellers flooded the market to record levels, data from Redfin shows. But this time, foreign buyers are unlikely to come to the rescue, as President Trump's immigration and tariff policies have rattled global markets. 'Not only are they still dealing with the currency issue, but add in the immigration policy and the disrespect,' Mr. Zalewski said. 'It's a real conundrum for condo sellers.'

Trump Wants His Presidential Library Set in Florida, Enticed by Free Land
Donald Trump is considering the campus of Florida Atlantic University for a presidential library, on a site where he has been offered free land, as planning begins for the MAGA mecca he eschewed during his first term. Trump and his advisers are planning a campaign to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for a library fund. One of the president's sons, Eric Trump, and one of his sons-in-law, Michael Boulos, recently established a nonprofit to support the library. More than $37 million from lawsuits involving ABC News and Meta Platforms, as well as tens of millions of leftover inauguration funds, are expected to fund construction of the complex, along with donors. Trump envisions turning a $400 million Boeing 747 jet—a gift from Qatar—into a tourist attraction at the library.
