Orlando Pirates were held to a 1-1 draw in a Betway Premiership match played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday.
Usuthu appeared to take all three points when Tshepang Moremi put them in the lead in the 66th minute, only for Mpho Mvelase to strike in the 77th minute to earn the Buccaneers a share of the spoils. It was the young midfielder's first goal for the Pirates first team.

Pirates had to make an early change in the first half when Mbekezeli Mbokazi failed to recover from a knock and was replaced by Tapelo Xoki in the 21st minute.
Maswanganyi missed a good chance to put Pirates in the lead in the 24th minute when he was set up by Mohau Nkota, but the Bucs midfielder shot wide from close range.
Three minutes later, Richard Ofori denied Deon Hotto from long range as the visitors continued to ask questions from the Pirates defence.
Maswanganyi was presented with a chance to redeem himself in the 44th minute following another good buildup from Pirates, but he shot narrowly wide of goal.
The teams were locked at 0-0 at the break.
Usuthu coach Arthur Zwane made two changes at the start of the second half bringing in goalkeeper Mlondi Mbanjwa for the injured Ofori and striker Augustine Mulenga for Tebogo Mashigo.
The Buccaneers continued to dominate possession in the second half, but it was the home team that took the lead through an own goal by Maswanganyi, who tried to clear
Just when it looked as though AmaZulu were going to take all the three points on offer, Selepe grabbed the equaliser for Pirates pouncing on a loose ball inside the Usuthu penalty area and putting the ball into the net.
The result saw Pirates remaining second on the log with 60 points, 13 points behind champions Mamelodi Sundowns, while AmaZulu finished the season on position six with 35 points after 28 games.

Kaizer Chiefs: Three positions Velebayi can play

Kaizer Chiefs' attack just got a fresh spark. Asanele Velebayi has joined the Betway Premiership giants and immediately brings options for coach Nasreddine Nabi. The winger's arrival at Kaizer Chiefs isn't just about adding another player; it's about opening tactical possibilities in the final third. Amakhosi announced the 22-year-old winger from Phillipi, Cape Town, after a contractual dispute between him and his former club. Orlando Pirates full list: 16 players gone Kaizer Motaung Jr welcomes Asanele Velebayi to Kaizer Chiefs. Image: Kaizer Chiefs 'We are happy to finally have Asanele with us,' Motaung Jr told the club's website. 'He is a great addition, and we believe he will add significant value because he is a perfect fit for our game model and the culture we have here at the club.' New coach says Orlando Pirates star needed love Velebayi is comfortable in either right or left wing, offering pace, dribbling, and the ability to stretch defences. Additionally, the new Kaizer Chiefs number 17 is also capable of slotting into the number 10 role, acting as a creative hub behind the striker, linking midfield and attack. That kind of flexibility gives Kaizer Chiefs more ways to unlock stubborn defences in the Betway Premiership. Velebayi's versatility means Nabi can rotate the front line without losing cohesion. Whether starting on the left, right, or behind the striker, he's expected to make an immediate impact and challenge for minutes alongside established names like Pule Mmodi and Glody Lilepo. Ndlovu rescues Chiefs with late winner against Polokwane

Siphesihle Ndlovu announced himself to Kaizer Chiefs supporters as he came from the bench to score a winner that gave Amakhosi a second successive victory in a Betway Premiership match played at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday night. Before Ndlovu pounced on Reeve Frosler's pass inside the area, many Chiefs fans were resigning themselves to another dull draw against a stubborn Polokwane City side which did little to show they wanted anything other than a point from this game. Ndlovu's goal in the 78th minute lit up a match that was unwatchable as Chiefs battled to start it the way they finished in their opening fixture away to Stellenbosch FC where they won 2-0 on Sunday. The win is a huge boost for Chiefs, who are now joint top of the log with Durban City, and ahead on goal difference to Marumo Gallants and Sekhukhune United, the other two teams that have won both their opening league matches. Perhaps the short turnaround time contributed to Chiefs' lethargic display, but you would have thought with two fresh players in Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Gaston Sirino coming in for Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Naledi Hlongwane, that they would not be short of energy. While Polokwane relied on the counter in trying to get a goal, Chiefs struggled to produce a final ball once they reached the third part of the pitch. Frustrated, they started to shoot from outside the area and it was through one of those pot shots that Glody Lilepo nearly caught Polokwane keeper Brian Bwire off guard in one of the decent attempts Chiefs had in the first half. Needing a bit of creativity in the middle, Chiefs stand-in coach Khalil Ben Youssef introduced Ngcobo at the restart for striker Mduduzi Shabalala who struggled to find the openings playing alongside Wandile Duba up front. While Ngcobo did his best to boost Chiefs going forward, Sirino was not helping matters as he lost a lot of possession in the final third when he couldn't produce a shot or pass to the forwards. Sirino was eventually pulled out for Pule Mmodi, while a tired looking Thabo Cele made way for the match winner Ndlovu with more than 25 minutes left on the clock. The win gives Chiefs a huge boost ahead of two more home games against Richards Bay and Mamelodi Sundowns before they finish the month of August with an away fixture against Lamontville Golden Arrows in Durban.
