"Tron: Ares" Drops Trailer
Ahead of the movie's big splash at San Diego Comic-Con next week in Hall H, Disney has dropped a new trailer for "Tron: Ares," the third film in the 'Tron' franchise after the 1982 original and the 2010 sequel Tron: Legacy.'
Jared Leto leads the film, which includes original star Jeff Bridges back as Kevin Flynn. Leto plays Ares, one of the programs from the digital universe who is tasked to enter the real world.
The cast also includes Evan Peters, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cameron Monaghan, Sarah Desjardins, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, and Gillian Anderson. Notably, Peters plays Julian Dillinger, who shares a last name with David Warner's Ed Dillinger, the villain from the first film.
Nine Inch Nails, the industrial rock and electronica band founded by Trent Reznor and joined in 2016 by frequent collaborator Atticus Ross, are scoring the film. Reznor and Ross have won Oscars for their scores for 2010's 'The Social Network' and 2020's 'Soul.'
They also won Grammys for their soundtracks to 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' and 'Soul.' Most recently, they scored Luca Guadagnino's hit tennis film 'Challengers.'
'Tron: Ares' hits theaters on October 10.

Syrian Actress Diala Al-Wadi Killed in Home in Damascus
Rana Atef Syrian actress Diala Al-Wadi was killed in her home in Al-Malki, Damascus, Syria. The murder was described as a case of robbery. According to Syrian authorities and local activists, the crime occurred inside the actress's residence in one of the most heavily guarded areas of the capital. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the assailant broke into her home after following her, strangled her, and then stole her belongings, including money and jewelry, before fleeing the scene. Al-Wadi held British citizenship and came from a prominent musical family. Her father, Salhi Al-Wadi, was a pioneering figure in Syria's academic music scene and a founding member of the Higher Institute of Music and the Syrian Symphony Orchestra. Her mother, Cynthia, a British national and violinist, was a classmate of her father at the Royal Academy of Music in London during his studies between 1952 and 1960. Al-Wadi received the Syrian Order of Merit in 1995, the highest honor granted by the state, and is regarded as a foundational figure in the Syrian and Arab music scenes. Tamer Hosny to Perform Live in Germany on November 8
Yara Sameh Egyptian superstar, Tamer Hosny will perform live at the Yayla Arena, in Krefeld, Germany, on Saturday, on November 8. He is set to present several of his popular and latest songs. The evening will also feature singer Ahmed Saad. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Luster Event (@lusterevent1) Hosny, born on August 16, 1977, began his career when renowned TV presenter Salma Al Shamaa gave him his lifetime opportunity to perform at the Cairo Opera House. During his performance, he worked alongside other rising talents including, Sherine Mohamed Abdel-Wahab; the performance was attended by renowned producer Nasr Mahrous. Ever since, Hosny worked closely with Mahrous and released his first album, which consequently achieved great success and opened the gates of stardom and fame, not only in singing but also in the entertainment industry. He made his acting debut in the 2004 film 'Halet Hob', co-starring Hany Salama, Hend Sabry, and others. Hosny is known for singing 'Kol Mara', 'Bent El Eh' and 'Aktar Haga', and for his roles in films such as 'Omar and Salma' and 'Captin Hema'. Tom Holland Unveils "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" Set Photos as Production Begins
Yara Sameh Tom Holland is giving fans a brand new look at 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day.' Holland shared Sunday on Instagram two on-set photos with the caption, ''Spider-Man Brand New Day' 1.' The footage sees Holland emerge from the shadows in his new ensemble, which more closely resembles the comic-book version than his previous duds. 'We ready?' Holland asks in the video. The new Spidey Suit has more vivid reds and blues, and features a larger spider symbol than his costumes from 'Spider-Man: Homecoming,' 'Far From Home' and 'No Way Home.' In that film, Peter Parker's secret identity is revealed to the entire world, and the young hero must turn to Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange for help. He manages to conjure a spell that makes everyone forget Parker is Spider-Man, but not without some unintended side effects. The spell pulls other web-slingers and their respective villains into Parker's dimension, leading to the viral moment between Holland and Sony's previous Spider-Men, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. 'Brand New Day' is based on the Spider-Man comic storyline of the same name. In the comic book story, Parker lands a deal with Mephisto to make the world forget he is Spider-Man and resurrect Aunt May. However, the spell essentially reboots his world and dissolves his marriage with MJ. 'Shang-Chi' helmer Destin Daniel Cretton serves as director on 'Brand New Day.'
