Mark Ruffalo hunts a desperate thief in intense new crime drama 'Task'
Tom Pelphrey takes on the role of Robbie, bringing a layered performance to a man torn between survival and morality. The series sets up a compelling clash between two men on opposite sides of the law but bound by shared burdens. The trailer, underscored by Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, hints at a story filled with ethical conflict, emotional intensity and an escalating battle of wills.
Far from being a straightforward police pursuit, Task appears to explore the complexities of justice and forgiveness. Ruffalo's Tom is haunted by personal trauma and wrestling with the limits of his compassion, while Robbie's crimes stem from desperate attempts to provide for his family. Emilia Jones plays Robbie's determined daughter, whose disapproval forces him to confront the consequences of his actions. The series also features Martha Plimpton, Owen Teague and Fabien Frankel, adding further depth to the ensemble.
With violent biker gangs, tense shootouts and a backdrop of loss and regret, Task promises a mix of emotional drama and high-stakes action. Ruffalo's track record in portraying men under immense emotional pressure, combined with Ingelsby's talent for grounded, character-driven storytelling, makes this a highly anticipated release.
Task will premiere on Sky on 8 September, offering viewers a dark and compelling story about the thin line between guilt and redemption.

Timothée Chalamet and James Mangold reunite for motocross heist movie High Side
Timothée Chalamet and director James Mangold are revving up for a new project titled High Side, a motocross-themed heist thriller based on an unpublished short story by Jaime Oliveira. Following their critically acclaimed collaboration on A Complete Unknown, which scored eight Oscar nominations, the duo is eyeing another high-octane cinematic partnership. High Side centers on Billy, a former MotoGP racer coping with trauma from a career-ending crash and a troubled family legacy. Living a quiet life caring for his addict father and running the family garage, Billy is pulled back into danger by his estranged brother Cole. After their father's death, Cole convinces Billy to join him in a series of high-speed bank robberies using superbikes. With the FBI already on Cole's tail, the stakes rise as the brothers assemble a crew — including Billy's love interest — to rob rural desert banks. The plot builds to a final heist timed with a major motorcycle parade, drawing the attention of FBI agent Lennox, who shares a murky past with Cole. The film promises intense action sequences, emotional drama, and adrenaline-fueled motorcycle chases. Chernin Entertainment is attached to produce, with Sugar23 shopping the project to studios. The package has already sparked strong interest in both Hollywood and publishing circles. Chalamet is currently wrapping Dune: Part Two and will star in A24's upcoming Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie. With High Side, the actor continues his streak of bold and diverse roles.

Margot Robbie in talks to star in Tim Burton's Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman remake
Margot Robbie is in early talks to star in and produce Tim Burton's remake of Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman for Warner Bros., continuing her successful collaboration with the studio following Barbie. If the deal is finalized, Robbie would produce the project through her production company, LuckyChap, alongside partners Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara. The film reimagines the 1958 cult sci-fi horror classic, in which a wealthy heiress grows to massive size after an alien encounter and seeks revenge on her unfaithful husband. Tim Burton, fresh off the success of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, is attached to direct and produce the film alongside Andrew Mittman and Tommy Harper. Kai Dolbashian is also on board as executive producer. Although Gillian Flynn wrote the first draft of the screenplay, she has since exited due to other commitments, and the team is now searching for a new writer. Robbie's final involvement is expected to depend on the next version of the script. Warner Bros. is reportedly eager to reunite with both LuckyChap and Burton, having seen major box office returns from Barbie and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Robbie's Barbie became the studio's highest-grossing film ever, while Burton's latest sequel earned $452 million worldwide. Robbie will next star in Wuthering Heights, directed by Emerald Fennell, and LuckyChap is also developing a new Ocean's Eleven prequel. The project marks another major genre venture for Warner Bros. and continues Robbie's reign as one of Hollywood's most in-demand talents.
