Dhadak 2 Box Office Day 3: Siddhant Chaturvedi-Triptii Dimri Film Sees Drop, Mints Only Rs 11 Crore
Dhadak 2 Box Office Collection Day 3: Despite walking in with high hopes and critical love, Dhadak 2 seems to be facing a bit of a box office heartbreak. Starring the much-buzzed-about pair of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, the film hit theatres on August 1 after several delays. It had solid expectations, especially as a remake of the acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. However, the numbers haven't quite matched the hype. According to Sacnilk, Dhadak 2 has collected just over Rs 11 crore in its first three days.
Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film follows a new love story and is a spiritual follow-up to the 2018 movie Dhadak, starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor.
According to the latest update from Sacnilk, Dhadak 2 earned Rs 4.25 crore on its third day in theatres. The film opened with Rs 3.5 crore on Friday and saw only a marginal rise on Saturday, collecting Rs 3.75 crore. With this, the film's total box office collection now stands at Rs 11.50 crore.
Dhadak 2 is up against some tough box office contenders. Competing with Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2, the animated mythological film Mahavatar Narsimha, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's romantic drama Saiyaara, and Vijay Deverakonda's action-packed Kingdom, the Siddhant Chaturvedi-Triptii Dimri starrer is struggling to hold its ground.
What's more, Saiyaara, now in its third week, outperformed Dhadak 2 even on Sunday, raking in Rs 8 crore on the day. The Mohit Suri directorial has now crossed the Rs 300 crore mark in India, officially earning blockbuster status.
Dhadak 2 narrates the story of a law student who falls in love with his classmate, only to face harassment from her family due to caste differences. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, and backed by Dharma Productions, Zed Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, the romantic drama dives deep into themes of caste discrimination, love, and social resistance, offering a raw and emotionally charged cinematic experience.
Alongside the lead pair, the film also features Zakir Hussain and Saurabh Sachdeva in pivotal roles.

1 2 Chandigarh: Declared a proclaimed offender in 2016, Sirsa resident Jagsir Singh evaded police for nine years by constantly changing his location and identity. However, his run ended with a dramatic revelation on Wednesday — he is Punjabi singer Baaz Sran, who just two months ago released a song likening a 'Sarkari Kothi' (govt residence) to a jail. In an irony of sorts, the lyrics of the song 'Sarkari Kothi' — which has 13 lakh views on YouTube — go: 'Jattan di sarkari kothi hundi jail kuddey (The official residence of Jatts is jail, lady).' Sran, who has 32,600 followers on Instagram and has sung duets with female singers like Deepak Dhillon and Gurlez Akhtar, was arrested by the Chandigarh zonal unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with the alleged seizure of 36kg opium in 2015. Sran hails from Malikpura village in Haryana's Sirsa district. An official privy to the case said Baaz himself penned the lyrics and composed his songs. In May 2025, NCB published Jagsir's details in leading newspapers and announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for information leading to his arrest. Based on inputs received thereafter, he was arrested on Wednesday, the NCB said in a statement.
