'There's hardly any strong couples': Love Island's Emily gives damning verdict on remaining Islanders
During her 'Fire Pit' interview with Cosmopolitan UK following her dumping from the Villa last week, Emily spoke about her time on the show, how she felt about her current partner Tommy returning from Casa Amor with Lucy and what she thought of the couples still on the show.
As part of the interview she was asked if there are any strong couples in the Villa, and she said even when you're in the Villa, it doesn't feel like there's many strong couples as everyone is so open.
"Everyone says they're 'open', that's all you hear, all the time but then people are not acting open," she said. "Then you see things behind people's backs and then you're like so 'you are acting open'. It's hard in there. At the minute I can't believe how many non-strong couples are in there."
She then went onto give her verdict on two of the longest running couples in the Villa. Dejon and Meg have been together since the first day of the new series, however, they've had many ups and downs, but recently made things closed off.
Emily said of the OG couple: "Dejon and Meg, they have a lot of respect for each other and there are a lot of feelings involved. They have said they're open, so him flirting, going on dates, he's not necessarily doing anything wrong but he's not telling the truth when he gets back and I think that's the problem."
Harry and Helena who have been interested in each other for the majority of the show, and are very flirty with each other, but haven't closed things off yet has lead to a lot of confusion amongst fans as to what the nature of their relationship is.
And Emily revealed fans aren't alone in their confusion, "Everyone in the villa is confused [about Harry and Helena]," she said. "They do have this magnetic spark. They're so similar, it does work, but then at the same time they have similar tendencies, obviously he's worse. But like Helena likes a flirt as well, she loves a little kiss. 'Hideaway Helena' as she likes to call herself.
"They're very similar, so it can either be the best thing ever if they just prioritise each other or it could end in tears. It's like one or the other. But I think she's [Helena] just enjoying it to be honest."
As for her own relationship with Tommy, Emily said she would consider getting back with him if he and Lucy don't work out, noting that the door is "still open".
Emily was dumped from Love Island last week after Tommy arrived back in the main Villa with Lucy, who he had gotten to know during Casa Amor.
As Emily had not chosen to recouple with any of the boys and therefore this left her single, which meant she was dumped from the Island.
Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX tonight

Bixie Short Hair Style for Summer 2025
If the bob and the pixie had a chic, low-maintenance baby (humans could never), it would be the it's officially the haircut of the summer. It's the birthing renaissance, hairstyle edition! You heard it here first, folks. But why is it the cut of summer 2025? Well, the flirty fusion of a style, the bixie is low-maintenance, high-impact, and is the epitome of an "I woke up like this" haircut. Plus, the shorter length helps beat the heat while still offering enough shape for versatile styling. Whether worn tousled and beachy or sleek and polished, the bixie is super customizable. Don't just take my word for it, though. To really understand what defines the cut, as well as who it's best suited to and how to style it, we tapped the brilliant brain of Tom Smith, hairstylist, trend forecaster, and Cosmopolitan contributing expert, who, below, breaks down the buzz. The more time passes, the more convoluted hairstyle names get; from Italian bobs and French bobs to shags and even wolf cuts (confusing, much?!). The bixie, however, is simpler than you would think, combining the best of the bob and pixie. "The bixie is a grown-out pixie shape that is not quite a bob but has enough length to frame the face," Tom says. "A fusion of a pixie cut and a bob, the shape offers the texture and head-hugging nature of a short pixie cut, while the extra length allows the shape to frame the face similar to a bob without the characteristic squareness of a traditional bob shape." So, just think of it as a pixie cut, circa two months post-snip! The bixie is a soft cut with rounded edges, so it can work really well on those with more angular, square face shapes. That said, as Tom explains, there is more versatility because of its length; "There's more to play with rather than a traditional pixie." "It can also be a great option for those with thicker hair who struggle with bob shapes looking too 'mushroomy', as this shape evenly distributes the thickness of the hair," Tom says. Overall, there are perks to the bixie for all hair types. "Fine and flat hair can be given more body with this shape, wavy and curly hair will get much more lift and volume, while textured hair will sit more angular in this shape, flatter on the sides, lower at the nape, and fully on the top," says Tom. Tick, tick, ticks across the board! Good news! Tom shares that a well-cut bixie should fall into shape easily with minimal styling. *Snoozes alarm for an extra 10 minutes in bed* "For definition and texture, you can enhance your bixie with soft pomades or wax sprays," says Tom. And those with straight hair types looking for a bit of grit can add soft bends and waves into strands with a straightener or a curling wand. "It was unfortunate": Ekin-Su shares real reason for Curtis Pritchard split in first interview since break up
After meeting in the Love Island: All Stars villa back in January, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Curtis Pritchard decided to call time on their relationship in May. Now, two months on, Ekin-Su has opened up for the first time since their split, telling Cosmopolitan UK exclusively: "It was unfortunate." Talking about their time on the show, Ekin-Su gushed: "Basically, when you're in the villa, you're living your own reality, and you're able to give your time and attention to that one person." She continued: "And when we came off the show, we tried to keep that same bubble for ourselves. But what really happened was we were just so incredibly focused on our careers and when both people are focused on their careers, I think for us, we didn't want to end up resenting each other in the future, and we didn't want it to turn into something that wasn't healthy for us, because we do get along and we had such a good relationship." Asked the moment they realised it wasn't going to work, the 30-year-old actress and reality TV star explained: "Well, I was literally in the US a lot, and it was actually the time when his boxing appeared. I love seeing him passionate about something he loves, and he was the same with me. And I think with boxing as well it's intense training every day and you do need to focus on that on its own. Sometimes they don't see their wives for months when it comes to professional boxing, so it was hard to see each other." Unlike some of the other All Stars couples - like Grace and Luca, who have taken several trips together since the show, including to Italy, New York, and Dubai, where he asked her to be his girlfriend - Ekin-Su felt that she and Curtis hadn't been able to reach certain milestones in their relationship due to their busy schedules "We didn't see each other as much as we'd like," she said. "You know we never had the chance to really go away together and have our romantic honeymoon holiday that most couples did in the villa. So it was unfortunate." Ekin-Su, who originally appeared on the eighth series of Love Island, which she won with her ex Davide Sanclimenti, and Curtis, from the fifth series, met on the second season of Love Island: All Stars earlier this year. Despite a few wobbles along the way, they made it to the final and finished in third place, behind runners-up Grace and Luca, and winners Gabby Allen and Casey O'Gorman. Three months later, however, they decided to end their relationship, with Ekin-Su releasing a statement on her Instagram Story. "I wanted to share that Curtis and I have decided to go our separate ways. It's been really a tough decision, but one made with a lot of love and respect for one another," she wrote. "He's an incredible person and I'll always cherish the memories we made both in and out of the villa. Thank you all so much for the love and support over the past few months. We're both focussing on navigating the transition and would really appreciate privacy during this time. Love always, Ekin-Su xx" Curtis, who is a professional dancer and has recently got into boxing, shared a statement of his own at the time confirming the news. He said: "It's true, Ekin and I have decided to go our separate ways. Break ups are never easy, but I'll always be grateful for the laughs, the adventures, and the memories (especially the dance routines.)" Despite the split, Ekin-Su tells us that she and Curtis are still on good terms. "It was actually a really healthy relationship, and we brought out the best in each other, but it just didn't work," she smiled. "We entered it [the break up] in a way where, if you ever need me, I'm here, sort of thing. I was like, 'If you need me, I'm here. And he said the same. I said, 'I might need help in the future for dance moves. I'm gonna be calling you.'" This is Ekin-Su's second split from someone she met on the ITV2 dating show. She broke up with Davide in June 2023 after meeting on the show in 2022. Although they briefly got back together, they called it quits for good in January 2024. Davide is now in a new relationship with entrepreneur Iris Au and Ekin-Su was linked to Married At First Sight UK star Georges Berthonneau last year. "I have been on a few dates here and there," she revealed. "I was quite nervous, but I'm having fun. It's my Hot Girl Summer. I'm enjoying being single, but I'm also enjoying having a little flirt." She added: "I'm a lover. I'm a romantic. I wear heart my sleeve. So if I meet someone, I meet someone. I'm not going to say no, because I've just come out of a breakup. You don't know when you'll meet the one, but I am open." Could Mr. Right be just around the corner, Ekin? We hope so!

The real reason why Love Island's Harrison has 'quit', following tearful breakdown and messy love triangle
Harrison has reportedly left the Love Island villa after a tearful week with Toni and Lauren. According to an insider, the 22-year-old footballer decided to leave the show after being involved in one of the most dramatic love triangles the show has ever seen. Harrison, who is originally from Derby, but relocated to Miami for his career, is said to have left the villa late on Thursday night and is on his way home to the UK. "It's been a momentous few days for Harrison and ultimately he has decided to quit," the source told The Sun. "Everyone was so shocked and people were crying and hugging him." "He worked through everything with the ITV duty of care team and is making his way home to his family now." Harrison has been involved in a love triangle with Toni and Lauren. He was originally coupled up with Toni, but recoupled with Lauren who he met at Casa Amor. His return to the villa with the new girl caused drama between him and Toni, who coupled up with Cach, and he eventually revealed that he still has feelings for her, leading her to pick him at the next recoupling and leaving both Cach and Lauren in tears. Toni then learnt that Harrison had slept with Lauren twice and felt terrible that she'd chosen him. He apologised to Lauren and agreed to let her crack on with Ty while he and Toni progressed in their relationship, but on Thursday night, Toni broke down in tears after she saw Harrison and Lauren in the bathroom flossing one another's teeth. Through tears she told him that he was "embarrassing her" and that he should have stayed with Lauren, before telling the girls that she's so "done". And things only got worse during the game of Couple of Sorts, where Toni and Harrison learned that they had been voted for by the public for the "couple who are playing a game", "the couple who are relying on physical attraction" and "most one-sided couple". From the look on Toni's face as they stood up on the podium, it was clear to see that she had checked out of the relationship. Cosmopolitan UK has contacted ITV for a comment. New episodes of Love Island air on ITV2 on weekdays and Sundays at 9pm.
