Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly has opened her heart about an emotional family matter, confessing she'll be a "wreck" when one thing eventually happens.
Having risen to fame on Strictly, it was due to one of her first roles in TV that she met Vernon Kay back in 2001.

During the early phases of their broadcasting careers, both Tess and Vernon met at a BBC Christmas party, where they were tasked with making their own version of Britney Spears' iconic "…Baby One More Time" video.

Just a couple of years after first meeting, the couple went on to marry, and only a year later, they welcomed their first daughter, Phoebe. Their family grew once more in 2008 when they had Amber, their second daughter.

Meanwhile, in a recent episode of Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, she shared how her busy schedule often means she has to book family holidays quite last minute.

Chatting about the importance of taking time away from their packed lives, Tess shared how she couldn't "even imagine" a holiday where she only had herself to think about.
However, as Fearne noted that Tess will soon be approaching a time when her children may no longer want to come on family holidays, Tess admitted she'll be a "wreck" when that day comes — but joked, 'I'll be crying into my Pina Colada."

With holidays being a chance to reconnect with loved ones, the Strictly co-presenter shared her thoughts on family time, saying: "For me, it's just about stepping back, really, and just enjoying myself and being in the moment and enjoying that meal."
She continued: "Sitting down to enjoy that with my family, reconnecting with them and sitting around a table three times a day, for me, is a treat. It's lovely."

The star's career began as a model before she burst onto the television scene with Channel 4 in 2000. A flurry of opportunities came her way, but it was her role on Strictly Come Dancing in 2004 that really catapulted her to fame.
Her tenure on the beloved BBC show began with the very first episode, co-hosting with Bruce Forsyth for nine years until his departure in 2013.
Since then, she has become part of an iconic presenting duo with Claudia Winkleman, continuing to charm audiences on the prime-time dance competition.

Here We Go star Alison Steadman on heartbreaking reason she's quit theatre

Alison Steadman, star of BBC's Here We Go, has revealed she's quit theatre despite it once being her 'favourite thing' to do Actress Alison Steadman opened up about her decision to quit theatre during an appearance on ITV 's This Morning on Friday (25 July). ‌ The TV star sat down with Dermot O'Leary and Olivia Attwood to chat about her latest projects, including the third series of BBC 's Here We Go, but sadly revealed she won't be appearing on stage in the future. ‌ "This breaks my heart. You don't want to do theatre anymore," Dermot said to Alison, with co-host Olivia adding: "Stage fright?" ‌ Alison sadly revealed: "Yeah, really. I've put my shift in and it was my favourite thing. I absolutely loved it, but no more." Alison has starred in numerous theatre productions over the years, having kicked off her career in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie after finishing her studies. ‌ She has also appeared in Abigail's Party, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Entertaining Mr Sloane and Hotel Paradiso. Alison won an Olivier Award for The Rise and Fall of Little Voice. Elsewhere during the interview, Alison teased what's to come in the new series of Here We Go, which launches on BBC One on Friday (25 July). "We're so excited," she said, before revealing what her character Sue Jessop has been up to. "Well, she's moved in with them, it's what she's always wanted! She's living with them, she's rearranged the kitchen, as mother-in-laws do. She just loves it, she just loves being with all the family." ‌ Alison went on to discuss the unique way in which Here We Go is filmed. The series is filmed in one on-going take, meaning there is no opportunity for cuttings or edits. "It's filmed always in one long take, so there's no cuttings. It's quite tough sometimes. It's just quite tiring, sometimes the scenes can be four, five pages long," Alison told Dermot and Olivia. ‌ She admitted: "If you're filming it without a break, and you're doing take after take, sometimes you think 'Please let me rest!'" Alison stars alongside Jim Howick, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Basden, Tori Allen-Martin, Freya Parks, Mica Ricketts, and Jude Morgan-Collie in the hit BBC sitcom. The series, set in the town of Bedford, tells the unique story of the dysfunctional and eccentric Jessop family, from the perspective of teenager Sam (Jude Morgan-Collie), who films plenty of footage on his handheld camera. Flashbacks to less chaotic times also feature, giving the series a unique selling point.

'Hazard warning' issued as TV crew lands on remote North Wales beach

Coastal walkers looking out for dolphins may have spotted a Bear instead. A black helicopter was seen landing on a 'hidden gem' beach in Gwynedd with a film crew on board. Local people on the Llŷn Peninsula claim the production involved survival expert Bear Grylls, who owns the nearby island of St Tudwal's West, just off Abersoch. On the same day the TV star shared an Instagram Reel flying in a helicopter over slate-sided Llyn Cwmorthin near Blaenau Ffestiniog. Having completed an adventure trip to Norway, he this month returned to his island retreat, filming family fun in the water and a work-out at their outdoor gym. On Wednesday, July 23, an air traffic hazard alert was issued for the area. Covering southeast Pen Llŷn over to St Tudwal's islands, and warning of parachute jump exercises, it remains active until 6pm on July 26. That afternoon, onlookers watched as a parachutist descended slowly towards a headland above Porth Ceriad, a stunning but difficult-to-reach beach between Abersoch and Aberdaron. One woman said it made her day. 'Bear inland filming and parachuting out of his helicopter! Perfect coastal walk.' The helicopter was supplied by GB Helicoptors, its aircraft having previously been involved in shows like Netflix's Fool Me Once and both the UK and US versions of The Traitors. Big budget productions have included Dunkirk and Transformers: The Last Knight. Equipped with gyro-stabilised cameras, GB Helicoptors have previously supported the filming of the Bear Grylls Netflix show You vs The Wild. Bear's next TV show is reportedly a new BBC production that will see the born survivor 'rekindle feuding people through nature'. Wild Reckoning puts two people with a strained relationship into the wilderness, challenging them to overcome survival obstacles together. According to TV sources, the 51-year-old adventurer will lead colleagues, friends and neighbours in a series of outdoor challenges to show that 'facing the wild can help mend even the deepest rifts'. An insider told The Sun: "He's married for 25 years and a dad of three so is well versed in handling such challenges.' Sign up for the North Wales Live newsletter sent twice daily to your inbox The show is expected to air next year after his Netflix series Celebrity Bear Hunt was axed after just one series. The decision was reportedly blamed on it being 'too expensive to make'. Not everyone was convinced the arrival of a helicopter at Porth Ceriad was linked to a TV production. Online, one person quipped it may have been a 'pizza delivery' for one of Abersoch's wealthy residents.

Tamzin Outhwaite reveals her eldest child is transgender and admits she regrets her reaction

EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite shares her two kids, Flo, 17 and Marine, 12, with ex-husband Tom Ellis. Tamzin Outhwaite has announced that her eldest child is transgender. The EastEnders star confessed she was 'distressed' when Flo first came out seven years ago, but now has no problem in saying she has a son and a daughter rather than two daughters. ‌ The 54-year-old soap star, who played Mel Owen in the BBC soap, said she wishes she could go back and change her initial reaction to the news. Tamzin said she found things difficult at first and she and Flo both went to family therapy to help work through it. ‌ She said: "The way I reacted at the very beginning I would love to change because I think until you're going through it yourself with your child it's very difficult to judge other people or to judge a situation because you don't expect that to happen to you or your child. ‌ "What I did initially, I was like 'don't be ridiculous', I didn't say don't be ridiculous but my mind went to 'that's ludicrous' and working back from that to talking through it" Outhwaite shares her two kids, Flo, 17, and Marnie, 12, with fellow actor Tom Ellis who she divorced in 2014, the Mirror reports. ‌ Speaking on the Parenting Hell podcast, she said: "I've got two kids and I did have two daughters and now I have a son and a daughter and that's quite easy for me to to say now but it wasn't maybe six or seven years ago. "We live in a very happy household now, full of jokes, and it's my favourite place to be at home. "You know they say that as a mum, probably as a parent, that you're only ever as happy and your unhappiest child and so with that in mind we have had some pretty unhappy years. ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! "Now we're in a really wonderful place as a family, Flo is in a wonderful place as a brilliant actor, singer, writer, director in his sixth form at school, and Marnie is thriving. "So instead of just trying to get through difficult times we are now all thriving and the relief and joy is very tangible." ‌ She continued: "It was about when Flo was about 10 or 11 and the maddest thing is, I suppose, is that it's not the most interesting thing about him. "He's an incredible, incredibly funny, intelligent boy and I'm watching him grow into a wonderful human who's very talented and to see him thriving is just nothing but relief and joy for me really because there was some dark times." "Fab bit of family therapy, therapy on Flo's side so Flo was doing therapy as well. Speaking to other people and realising you weren't alone was a really, really helpful thing... ‌ "I became almost like a padded cell around Flo, almost going 'it's okay whatever you want, you want to do this, you want to do that, it's all okay', because I think if you push back on a kid they're going to want to do the opposite of what their parent says so I made everything a possibility. "I didn't say you can't be that but it was a very distressing time." ‌ Tamzin also explained that whilst her six year old understood the change very quickly, she was worried about the 'wrath' of her father who is now also fully supportive. She said: "Marnie has been the most insightful about all of it because it's constantly, from pretty much day one when Marnie was six years old has said 'this is my brother Flo'. "Flo has many nicknames at school, all sorts of different things, all of the kids are so accepting of everything but I think they're much more understanding. "Whereas obviously there was a time, my dad's brilliant now and on board, but there was a time where I didn't want Flo to have the wrath of what my dad had to say about the whole thing."
