and his wife Amruta presided over the Mahapuja at Vitthal-Rukhmini temple of Pandhapur in Solapur district on Sunday morning on the occasion of auspicious day of Ashadi Ekadashi.
More than 20 lakh Warkari's have arrived in the temple town, most of which walking hundreds of kilometers to reach the temple town and get darshan of Vitthal and Rukhmini. Among them were Kailas Damu Ugale and his wife Kalpana from Jategaon, taluka Nandgaon from Nashik district who got the honour to preside by CM and his wife's side for the Mahapuja. The couple from Nashik was given free pass for state transport bus travel for next one year.
Fadnavis briefing the media after the ritual said, "I sought strength to overcome the challenges and walk on righteous path for the development of Maharashtra. I also sought farmers welfare, they get bumper yield this year."
When asked bout the allegations by Mahayuti leaders that people with extreme views have infiltrated the Wari, Fadnavis said that those coming in Wari must have thought of Vitthal on his mind and eager to get his darshan. Those come with agenda is absolutely wrong "
Fadnavis praised the administration for reducing the time for darshan. He said that with the efforts, the Warkari's get darshan within five hour less than normal time. He also said that the Pandhapur corridor will be developed without destroying the livelihood of local traders, residents.

From Saint Dyaneshwar's verses to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's sword and from the courage of Mahatma Phule to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar's standpoint, the chain was never broken and continued to move forward.' Fadnavis also recalled the key achievements of the 'land of Maharashtra' from the 'era of Ramayana' down to the new age social reformers. The chief minister further said, 'We are the carriers of the legacy of ideologies of Saint Dyaneshwar, Shivray, Savitribai, and Babasaheb Ambedkar. It is our duty to preserve, grow, and take forward this state, which was formed through their wisdom, sacrifice, and endurance. Maharashtra Dharma is not about remembrance, but it is our moral guide. It is to create an understanding of who we are.' The Opposition, especially Uddhav Thackeray, has often termed Fadnavis and the BJP as anti-Maharashtra.

Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde performs rituals, prays at Vitthal Rukmini Temple on 'Ashadi Ekadashi'
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 6 (ANI): Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde performed Maha Abhishek of Lord Vitthal and Goddess Rukmini on the occasion of 'Ashadi Ekadashi' at Vitthal Rukmini Temple in Wadala, Mumbai on Sunday. Shinde performed the consecration of Lord Vitthal and Goddess Rukmini with milk. Addressing reporters, Shinde extended his greetings on the occasion and stated that the government has allocated Rs 25 crore for the temple's redevelopment. 'I wish the people of Maharashtra on the occasion of 'Ashadi Ekadashi'. Excitement can be witnessed among the Panduranga's devotees. Warkari community from all parts of Maharashtra visit Pandharpur to get a 'darshan' of Lord Panduranga and Mata Rukmai,' he said. Shinde told reporters, 'I prayed Panduranga to bless everyone and for the prosperity of the Warkari, Ladki Bahin and Ladka Bhau. This is an ancient temple, and the government has given a fund of Rs 25 crore for its redevelopment, and soon the devotees will get better facilities.' Shiv Sena leader Raju Waghmare wished the public on the auspicious occasion. 'Eknath Shinde said that Pandurang's blessing will be on all Ladki Bahin and Ladke Bhau, and we are giving good wishes from Shiv Sena to everybody in Mumbai and Maharashtra,' Waghmare told ANI. BJP-Sena slam Uddhav, go soft on Raj
MUMBAI: The overwhelming response to the joint MNS-Shiv Sena (UBT) rally on Saturday could be bad news for the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance ahead of local body elections. And, yet, the ruling BJP and Shiv Sena appear to have taken a lenient approach towards MNS chief Raj Thackeray, while unleashing heavy artillery on Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray for his 'greed for power'. BJP-Sena slam Uddhav, go soft on Raj Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis responded to Raj's sarcastic comment, that Fadnavis had achieved what even Bal Thackeray couldn't, by getting the cousins to unite, saying he was 'grateful to Thackeray for his complement'. Fadnavis, however, ignored Raj's comment on BJP leader LK Advani, where he remarked that Advani had attended St Patrick's School run by Christian missionaries but it didn't mean one could question his commitment to Hindutva. Similarly, Raj pointed out, there was no connection between Marathi pride and an English-medium education. Fadnavis, however, attacked Uddhav, saying, 'Although the rally was about Marathi pride, Uddhav chose to speak about politics and how he was ousted from power. He is speaking out of frustration, as they have nothing to show despite ruling the BMC for over 25 years.' Deputy chief minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde praised Raj, saying he echoed the anguish of the Marathi people, while Uddhav spoke out of his 'greed for the power'. 'We swept him away by our mutiny three years ago and he has not been able to bounce back. Now he's looking to shoot from someone else's shoulder, to stay relevant. While his (Uddhav's) efforts were for power, Raj Thackeray spoke with dignity, without deviating from the cause of Marathi,' he said. Mahayuti leaders say they are still hopeful of the MNS's support in the upcoming local body elections, just as they had received during the Lok Sabha and assembly elections last year. BJP leaders believe the Thackeray cousins will not forge a formal alliance, while the window for an alliance with Raj Thackeray is still open for the Mahayuti. What transpired between Raj and Fadnavis three weeks ago is still under wraps. There could be a more strategic reason for going soft on Raj on Saturday – the BJP-Sena are hoping to drive a wedge between the Thackerays and create confusion among party workers.
