Love Island 's Harry Cooksley has sparked concern among viewers following a "weird" interaction with Shakira Khan in the latest episode. Monday night, July 28, saw friends and family join the Islanders in the villa.
The duo recently became an item after Harry ended things with Helena Ford to pursue a relationship with Shakira. In an attempt to have "baby steps" their flirtation escalated in the dressing room during Monday's episode.
A cuddle session led to a humorous moment where they tried to figure out which one of them was emitting an unpleasant odour, prompting Shakira to fetch some deodorant.
Audiences were left shocked when Harry seemed let down as Shakira left his embrace to freshen up and then handed him the deodorant.
Viewers soon took to Twitter, as one viewer wrote: "Harry having a fetish for armpits is diabolical." Another voiced their thoughts: "This armpit fetish of Harry is so weird oh my #loveisland."
A third chimed in: "Harry's fetish for smell is concerning guys. #LoveIsland." Echoing the sentiment, a fourth added: "Harry really does have a weird armpit fetish #LoveIsland."
This follows an earlier incident that had viewers feeling queasy when Harry's ex, Emma Munro, who left the villa last week, invited him to sniff her armpits.
Around the fire pit, Emma discussed the "dangerous" intensity of their past connection and playfully suggested Harry smell her armpits, knowing his preference.
Raising her arm, she teased: "Do you want a sniff?" and he responded: "You know I do."
Emma quipped: "I know you liked to smell them" as the duo burst into laughter, before Harry admitted: "That took everything not to sniff your armpit there, it took all of me."
Following the odd on-air moment, viewers rushed to social media in dismay, with one fan exclaiming: "Armpit sniffing... Harry has officially reached a new low."
Another viewer commented: "Emma and Harry talking about how badly he wants to sniff her armpit on national TV I'm sick to my stomach."
A different individual remarked: "WHAT IS GOING ON? ! Harry talking about how he really struggled to not sniff her armpit... one of the strangest things I've ever watched."
Elsewhere, Harry's best pal Harry and mum Julia arrived in the villa in tonight's show alongside Shakira's sister Shanti and mum Sukina.
Cutting to the core of recent issues, Shakira tells her family of Harry: 'I adore him and I really wish I didn't, that's the problem. It would be easier if I hated him, but I don't.'
Her mum Sukina says: 'What I will say, with him, he can prove himself to you before he has to prove himself to me.' The other Islanders then watch on tenterhooks as the two families come together at the firepit.
As Harry walks over to the Firepit ready to greet them, Helena's mum Sukina keeps her seat and tells him: 'We're not hugging Harry.'
Sukina goes on to comment on him ending things with Helena, saying: 'I think the whole of the UK is [surprised]. I'm sorry, but we thought it was 'undeniable' Harry.'
