Vicky McClure, who plays Detective Inspector Kate Fleming on the popular BBC show, has revealed that she will be shifting away from acting to pursue music.
On Instagram, it was confirmed that Vicky had collaborated with Sheffield-based band Reverend and the Makers on the group's new single, Haircut.
Sharing a clip with fans online, she wrote: "I'm no Whitney [Houston], but I love music.
"Making this with Jon [McClure] and Rev was such a chilled experience.
"All I hope is you enjoy it, sing and dance along."
Will Line of Duty return for a seventh series?
Line of Duty fans have long wondered if the popular BBC show would be returning for a seventh series.
Leading men Martin Compston, who plays DI Steve Arnott and Adrian Dunbar, who plays Supt Ted, shared an update with fans, according to The Sun.
When asked if the show would be returning, Martin said: 'We're always talking about possibilities and schedules and whatnot.
"Everybody's got stuff going on at the minute, so I think anything, unfortunately, would be a way off."
"You know, the day people stop asking about the show will be a sad day, so I'm delighted that people are still excited about it.
"We'd all love to work together again at some point. We still all meet up.
"I met with Jed [Mercurio, the show's creator], Adrian [Dunbar] and Vicky [McClure] in London before Christmas - we went out for dinner, to hear what everyone's up to."

He added: 'It's amazing. It's the best feeling as an actor when you feel like the whole country's in the palm of your hand with what's coming next, and there's only a couple of you in the secret of who's surviving and what's going on.
"But because we're all so close and we all want the best for the show, we wouldn't do it again just for the sake of it.
"If it was just about doing it for the sake of it, we'd have probably done another three series by now.
"We really care about the quality of it. So if we come back, it would be for the right reasons.
"It won't just be: 'Get another one done.' It'll be because Jed thinks there's a story to tell."

BBC's popular celebrity antiques show 'put on hold' after 15 years

The BBC have reportedly decided to pause a celebrity version of a popular antiques show after 15 years on air, with the show being 'rested' for the remainder of the year The BBC is rumoured to have discreetly put a fan-favourite show on hold after 15 years of broadcast. While the original programme will continue, its celebrity spin-off has reportedly been removed from the regular schedule. ‌ Celebrity Antiques Road Trip is thought to be on hiatus for the rest of the year. The show features two celebrities competing against each other as they traverse the country in search of hidden treasures to later auction off. ‌ The chosen celebrities are typically stars who are familiar with each other, or have previously worked together or competed against each other. ‌ Regrettably for viewers, the celebrity version of the show has now been put on hold. An insider told The Sun Online: "Celebrity Antiques Road Trip has proved a popular show for the BBC, but the focus right now is the original version of the show. A final decision hasn't been made on its future just yet, but it's definitely being rested for the remainder of the year and bosses will reassess in 2026." ‌ The BBC told the Mirror they were not commenting on the rumours at this time. Celebrity Antiques Road Trip first aired in 2011 as a spin-off to the much-loved staple programme Antiques Road Trip which debuted a year earlier, reports the Express. Narrated by Tim Wonnacott, the series gives two antiques experts a week's budget of £1,500 each to travel across the country - in a fabulous classic car - and purchase antiques and collectibles that are then sold at auction. ‌ Each star is teamed up with a specialist, and the celebrity pair are given a tight budget to hunt for hidden treasures. The victor is determined by who makes the most profit at an auction at the end of the episode. Famous faces that have graced the programme include Richard Osman with his current wife Ingrid Oliver, while Gemma Collins faced off against Melvin Odoom. Kelly Brook, Denise Van Outen and Danny Dyer, to mention a few.

Beloved BBC daytime show shelved after a whopping 15 years on screens in blow to fans

The BBC has quietly shelved a beloved daytime show after 15 years on air in a gutting blow to fans. While offshoots of the programme have been confirmed for new episodes, the celebrity version has been put to one side. Celebrity Antiques Road Trip followed two celebs as they scoured the country for hidden treasures in the hope of fetching high prices at a later auction. The chosen personalities typically knew each other or had previously worked or competed side by side, so the element of competition was ripe and made for great watching. But avid viewers have been dealt a blow as the broadcaster revealed the show has now been shelved. A source told Sun Online: 'Celebrity Antiques Road Trip has proved a popular show for the BBC, but the focus right now is the original version of the show. 'A final decision hasn't been made on its future just yet, but it's definitely being rested for the remainder of the year and bosses will reassess in 2026.' It comes as the future of two other antiquing shows was confirmed by the BBC last week. Antiques Road Trip has amassed 31 series since its debut in 2010, quickly becoming a fan-favourite and staple of the TV schedule. Now bosses have confirmed the hit format's fate as its host released an emotional statement to fans. They've officially green-lit a 32nd series, with 20 brand new episodes of the afternoon show ordered. Meanwhile, in a further update, the broadcaster has also revealed the Travelling Auctioneers will return for a fifth series. Since its launch in 2022, it's gained a cult following and established itself as a major part of the BBC's daytime output. Izzie Balmer, JB Broad and Bee Harford are back for series five, along with restoration maestros JJ Chalmers, Robin Johnson, Lauren Wood and Saf Fakir. Speaking about its return, host Izzie Balmer said: 'The Antiques Road Trip and Travelling Auctioneers teams have become like family to me. In fact, I sometimes see them more than my actual family… 'I wouldn't have it any other way though, because these shows are great fun, full of heart, and have just the right amount of jeopardy to keep you on the edge of your seat… without spilling your cuppa! I know how much they mean to our viewers and I'm thrilled to be back filming on them both.' Muslim Alim, Commissioning Editor for BBC Daytime and Early Peak, said: 'These shows are TV gold packed with great stories, brilliant finds and led by experts in their field. 'Antiques Road Trip and The Travelling Auctioneers have become firm favourites with our audiences and it's easy to see why: they're warm, feel-good and endlessly entertaining. 'I'm absolutely thrilled we're bringing them back and hugely grateful to the top-tier talent at STV Studios who make them so special.' Izzie Balmer previously revealed how her TV career wasn't initially the path she thought she'd end up on. She had originally wanted to be a musician and attended music college before realising it wasn't right. Speaking to Great British Life, Izzie confessed: 'I planned to be a professional musician but didn't enjoy music college. It wasn't for me.' Her move to Bargain Hunt was then fairly spontaneous as she stepped in for her boss to auctioneer on the show when no other auctioneers were available. Antiques Road Trip has amassed a whopping 31 series since its debut in 2010, quickly becoming a fan-favourite and staple of the TV schedule She said: 'There were no other auctioneers available it had to be me. I had to auction the Bargain Hunt lots in front of the cameras.' It was her mother Sheila who encouraged her to go into the antiques business full time after graduating and moving back home to look for a job. After some work experience she secured a full-time job at a local auction house. Then after becoming a regular on the hit show Antiques Road Trip, she landed a full-time role. This ignited a passion that led her to study at Birmingham's School of Jewellery. In a 2019 interview with Bristol Post, she revealed: 'I kind of fell into this job but I absolutely love it. 'I have always loved jewellery and been a fan of sparkly things, like most girls. I cannot think of anything I would rather do.'

Why ‘French girl hair' is the ultimate cool summer look & how to copy it – from ‘Birkin bangs' to underdone bobs

Find out how often you should be washing your hair FRENCH CHIC Why 'French girl hair' is the ultimate cool summer look & how to copy it – from 'Birkin bangs' to underdone bobs Messy, sexy, can't-be-bothered hair is the look of the moment — and the French have been doing it forever. From Bardot to Birkin bangs, that laid-back Parisian vibe is back in a big way. 5 Brigitte Bardot's messy-chic French look is back in Credit: Alamy 5 TikTok is obsessed with Daisy Edgar-Jones' French girl look Credit: getty TikTok is obsessed, searches for 'French girl haircut' have exploded, and even celebs like Daisy Edgar-Jones are calling the look their ultimate inspo. But what actually is French girl hair and how do you get it without spending hours with straighteners or forking out hundreds at a salon? Well, the magic is in the mess. French girl hair is never too neat, too bouncy or too 'done'. Less is more 5 French songwriter, Louise Verneuil, asks for an 'easy cut' Think cool, tousled, soft texture, and just the right amount of volume that says 'I didn't try,' even though you definitely did. Paris-based hair pros say the whole aesthetic is about pretending not to care. Louise Verneuil, a French singer-songwriter told The Times: "I guess French hair has an assumed nonchalance, 'It suggests you don't have time but still look cool. The French way is always 'less is more'.' The songwriter said she doesn't ask for a glam blow-dry or anything too neat when she visits her hairdresser. More than half of Americans admire the French way of life, with good work-life balance topping the list, survey shows She goes for an 'easy cut' to suit her hair and mood. Louise added: "I prefer something timeless — something fun, not too perfect, that mixes all the movies, books and heroines I love.' So no poker-straight strands, no chunky highlights, and definitely no extensions down to your bum. Instead, it's lived-in layers, soft waves, maybe a curtain fringe or a bit of bend through the mid-lengths. French actress, Isabelle Huppert is a great example of how to achieve this look, with her tousled mid-length look. Some women even go a week without washing, tying their hair into a messy bun or low chignon when it starts to look greasy. But don't be fooled, while it may look scruffy, it actually starts with really healthy hair. French women invest in good care and keep styling to a minimum. Hairstylist Sam McKnight told The Times: 'French women really look after the health of their hair. "They purposefully underdo it on the styling front." A diffuser is a secret weapon if you've got natural waves or just rough dry your hair and twist sections as you go. Ditch the hairbrush and use your fingers to add texture, volume and that perfectly imperfect finish. Birkin Bangs 5 Jane Birkin's iconic hair-do features wispy bangs and soft, messy hair Credit: Getty And of course, no French-inspired hair look would be complete without a signature fringe. Jane Birkin's iconic hair-do featured a soft wispy fringe and messy hair. To get the 'Birkin bang' you'll want to go short in the middle, longer at the sides, and then softly frames the eyes. It's wispy, windy, and looks best when it's just a little out of place. Underdone bobs 5 Isabelle Huppert wears a stylish long bob French haircuts tend to be timeless, boho and a bit undone, not too sharp, not too polished. Think chipped-in bobs, grown-out pixies and shoulder-length chops that have a bit of rock 'n' roll about them. French actress, Isabelle Huppert is a great reference for this look. And just because you're getting older doesn't mean chopping it all off. French girl hair isn't really about trends or tools. It's about confidence, coolness and pretending you didn't try, even if you totally did.
