Christine McGuiness has bared her soul on an emotional episode of Celebs Go Dating after her split with Paddy.
The couple split in 2022 after 11 years as husband and wife, though remained tight-lipped about how the marriage ended. Christine has now said she had reached a point where 'enough was enough'.
The mum-of-three said 'trust was broken', though she's been carrying guilt about being the one to end the marriage.
Following a challenging mixer during the opening episode, Christine sought guidance from the relationship experts, opening up about her anxieties around dating and disappointing others - which sparked a conversation about her recent split.
Delving further into her history, Anna questioned the reality star: "What happened around the break up and who initiated it?" reports the Mirror.
Suggesting Paddy had made 'mistakes' Christine explained: "Anyone can make mistakes but I think the trust was broken," she revealed. "I'll always love him, he's the father of my children and I think he's the only man that I'll ever love.
"A lot of people make mistakes and mess up, and when you're in a couple who is quite well known in the industry, obviously then everyone knows your business. He was getting a really, really difficult time in the press," she added - though she chose not to elaborate on the 'mistakes'. Celebrity dating agent Anna sought clarification, asking: "Because of that?"

"Yeah, and I didn't like that," Christine admitted. "It was a lot for him and I just really wanted it to stop. So it was me that said 'enough is enough.'"
Christine then confessed her lingering guilt, saying: "So, in some ways I suppose I still carry that feeling of, 'Well it's my fault because I ended it,'" leaving Paul visibly shocked.
Reflecting on their relationship, Christine shared: "We had an amazing 15 years, we really did. The last couple of years, things just weren't quite the same. I think once the respect isn't quite there anymore, it's time to leave."
She later confided in the agents that deciding to part ways with Paddy was the most difficult decision she's ever made, "and it forever will be".

In 2022, the couple announced their split via a joint Instagram story, stating: "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify.
"A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus was as always is to continue loving and supporting our children. This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children.
"We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together. We hope this now draws a line under anymore unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private life.
"Although we work in the public eye we ask kindly if you could respect our wishes for privacy on this matter. We'll be making no further comment."

Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury was left visibly shaken after his family's private jet with wife Paris and their seven children was forced to do an emergency landing Tyson Fury has revealed he was left 'terrified' after the private jet he and his family were flying on was forced to make an emergency landing due to a mechanical issue mid-flight. ‌ The retired heavyweight boxing champion, 37, had been travelling with his wife Paris Fury, 35, and their seven children shortly after the couple renewed their wedding vows for a third time in France. ‌ The celebratory trip quickly turned into a distressing experience when the aircraft encountered a technical fault shortly after takeoff. Speaking to his followers via Instagram Stories, the legendary boxer recounted the unnerving moment. He explained: "So, we've travelled 100 miles on the plane and the captain's come over to me and said, 'we've got to turn this plane around because there's a problem with one of the wings and it won't fix on the computer so we gotta try and get back and turn around'." Fury, who has been open in the past about his struggles with anxiety and mental health, admitted that the situation deeply unsettled him. "Talk about totally sh***ing yourself. So we're now spinning the plane around and going back to the airport where we started. Terrifying," he added, as he looked visibly shaken while filming from inside the cabin. ‌ Video clips posted to social media show members of the Fury family onboard the jet as it turns back toward its departure point. Tyson captioned one of the videos simply writing: 'bad news.' The scary incident occurred shortly after Tyson and his wife celebrated a significant personal milestone. ‌ The couple, who first married in 2008, recently renewed their vows in an intimate ceremony held in the South of France. Only their children were present at the event, which took place in a small, scenic church. Paris wore a white bespoke gown by Self-Portrait, while Tyson opted for a more casual look, pairing a cream shirt with white shorts and sandals. The couple shared a series of photos from the day with Fury's 6.7 million Instagram followers. ‌ In the post, Tyson gushed: "Paris Fury and I got married again; third time lucky. We had the most beautiful day in the South of France, it holds a lot of special memories for us." The sweet video was set to Bruno Mars' 2011 track "Marry You." The couple's seven children - Venezuela, 15, Prince John James, 13, Prince Tyson II, 9, Valencia, 7, Prince Adonis Amaziah, 6, Athena, 4, and Prince Rico, 2, - were all present for the special occasion, marking another family milestone for the Fury family. Tyson, also known as The Gypsy King, announced his retirement from professional boxing in 2022 after an undefeated career. He has since remained in the public eye through reality TV appearances, business ventures, and continued interaction with fans via social media.
