Woman killed after being struck by car on highway near Mass.-NH border
A woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle near the Massachusetts-New Hampshire border early Thursday morning.
New Hampshire State Police troopers received a report of a pedestrian struck on the southbound side of the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua, just over the Massachusetts border.
State troopers arrived and pronounced the woman deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado stopped in the breakdown lane and remained at the scene.
The southbound travel lanes were closed for several hours while an investigation was conducted.
The woman's identity has not been revealed pending notification of kin.
Members of the Nashua Police Department and Nashua Fire Rescue are assisting state police troopers in the investigation.

Suspected drunk driver arrested after hitting two cars, house in Dayton
A suspected drunk driver hit two parked cars and a house in Dayton early Saturday morning, according to a Dayton Police Department crash report. The driver was identified in the report as Laquan Riley of Dayton. No one was injured inside the house. It is unclear how fast Riley was driving at the time of the crash. Medics took Riley to Miami Valley Hospital with suspected minor injuries, according to the report. Dayton police officers note in the report that they believe Riley was driving under the influence of alcohol. An OVI test was given, but the results are currently unknown, according to the report. At the time of writing, Montgomery County Jail records show that Riley is in custody on preliminary charges of OVI, carrying a concealed weapon, using weapons while intoxicated, and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. Dorchester man arrested on firearm, drug charges following search warrant
A Dorchester man is facing firearm and drug charges after a search warrant was executed. According to Boston police, on Thursday, June 5, around 8:43 a.m., officers were conducting a drug investigation and executing of search warrants in the area of 223 Callender Street in Dorchester. During the search, officers recovered a Taurus 9MM with seven rounds in the magazine, a firearm holster, and. one loose round of ammunition. Police arrested 27-year-old Ronald Cox of Dorchester on multiple firearm and drug-related charges. Drug-related evidence that was recovered was one plastic bag of crack cocaine, six unknown pills, drug packaging material, digital scales, and $667 in U.S. currency. Cox is facing the following charges: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Unlawful Possession of Ammunition Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance Possession with Intent to Distribute, Subsequent Offense Cox was taken into custody and he is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
