The Labour Fund 'Tamkeen' announced its support for wage increments of 35 Bahraini employees at Maskati Bros & Co through the Wage Increment Program, in addition to supporting five employees in taking on leadership and managerial positions as part of the Leadership Employment Program. This initiative aims to empower local talent and enhance their career progression within private sector enterprises. The company will also benefit from Tamkeen's financing support in partnership with local banks to implement its plans for expansion, growth, and doubling its production capacity. This support aligns with Tamkeen's strategic priorities for 2025, which focus on enhancing the position and competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping Bahrainis with suitable skills for career development in the private sector, and prioritizing enterprise growth, digitization, and sustainability, and supporting the development of the ecosystem surrounding the labor market and private sector. Mr. Khalid Al Bayat, Chief Growth Officer at the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), commented: 'Supporting the career development of Bahraini talent in the private sector through wage increments and facilitating their progression into leadership and executive roles reflects Tamkeen's commitment to positioning Bahrainis as the preferred choice for employment. This is achieved through active partnerships with private sector enterprises that recognize the vital role of national talent in driving productivity and fostering growth. Our support for Maskati Bros & Co is part of this initiative, benefiting 40 Bahraini employees and contributing to the realization of our shared objectives.' Furthermore, Mr. Nawaf Al Maskati, Chief Executive Officer of Maskati Bros & Co affirmed the organization's dedication to supporting national talent, stating: 'We take pride in empowering Bahraini professionals to assume leadership roles within our organization through Tamkeen's career development programs. The students participated in intensive assessments, team-building activities, and inspiration sessions over two days, culminating in a grand Awards Ceremony that recognized outstanding achievements across various categories. This year, the competition also introduced five signature awards to highlight exceptional achievements. These include the 'Excellence in ESG Award' by Bapco Energies, 'Best Booth and Brand Award' by BASREC, 'Rising CEO Award' by bni, 'Best Financial Performance Award' by CrediMax and 'Excellence in Technology Award' by NBB Distinguished individuals served as judges in both the High School Track and the University Track, including representatives from prominent organizations including Ms. Dana Alhaddad from 'Beyon'; Eng. This year's edition also marked the organisation's 20th anniversary, underscoring two decades of commitment to equipping youth with business acumen and leadership skills. Corporate support Major Bahraini companies supported the event, with five new special awards introduced by sponsors including Alba, Tamkeen, Beyon, Bapco Energies, Basrec, bni, CrediMax, and NBB.
