Lewis Capaldi reveals an A-list singer ghosted him after 'super' night out
Lewis Capaldi may be one of the biggest names in pop right now, but he's still susceptible to ghosting like the rest of us.
The Someone You Loved hitmaker recently returned to the music scene after an extended break to focus on his mental health.
Lewis came back with a bang, performing to thousands upon thousands of adoring fans at this year's Glastonbury Festival, having just dropped his latest single, Survive, in which he bravely sings about his struggles.
And while he's back on the press circuit, ahead of kicking off his UK tour next month, Lewis has been lifting the lid on some of his showbiz friendships.
Alas, when it comes to US megastar Justin Bieber, after an epic night out together, Lewis was met with radio silence.
Speaking to Chris Stark for Capital Breakfast, the 28-year-old revealed he and Justin, 31, exchanged numbers at a star-studded bash, but he did not hear from the Baby singer again.

'It was amazing,' Lewis said of the event. 'There was famous people, Charli XCX was there, Justin Bieber was there.
'Justin Bieber comes over and said, 'Hey, man, what's going on?' And I said, 'You don't remember my name?' And he said, 'Of course I do, you're Lewis Capaldi'.'
'Me and Bieber had this super night together, like really lovely evening together,' Lewis continued.
'We didn't spend the night together, but we hung out and I'm like, 'me and the Biebs are gonna be best pals, this is huge.'
'And he's like, 'Man, make sure I get your number tomorrow.' And I was like, 'Me and the Biebs, this is huge!''
Unfortunately, Lewis didn't quite get the lovey-dovey response he was hoping for after sending a message of adoration to JB.

'I text him maybe the most sucking-up-his-a**e text. I said, 'Just wanted to jump on, bro, last night was so special, great guy, so nice to hang out with you, such a dude.'
'He likes it and doesn't reply. So if you're out there, Bieber, wherever you are, text me back, please. Bieber aired me.'
Lewis's recent comeback has been received extremely warmly by his fans, who sobbed as he, too, broke down on the Worthy Farm stage in 2023, unable to finish his set due to a Tourette's flare-up.
At the time, he was still navigating living with the condition, apologising to the audience as they sang the lyrics for him.
Ahead of his return this summer, the award-winning star was heavily rumoured to be the surprise performer, as cryptic signs promoting his new music appeared in various locations.
But that doesn't mean Lewis wasn't nervous, as he recently confessed to 'convulsing' backstage at another secret gig before heading out for his first performance in two years.

'A few weeks prior to that show, we were playing in Chicago, and I had a very similar episode—probably even worse,' he told This Past Weekend with Theo Von.
'I couldn't come back and finish a song. I was backstage, convulsing and having this crazy panic attack. Way worse than what happened at Glastonbury (in 2023).'
Fortunately, Lewis was able to power through his nerves and anxiety, which he has spoken openly about, to make it to Glasto, having admitted his breakdown in 2023 was probably 'the best thing that's ever happened' to him, as it meant he then had time to 'go and get help and fix [himself] for the next two years'.
During his time out of the spotlight, Lewis has been going to therapy to learn how to manage his Tourette's, with which he was diagnosed in September 2022.
He's also overhauled his physical health, having drastically reduced his alcohol intake and switched from antidepressants to antipsychotic medication, which he believes has made a difference.
'It's changed my life,' he said of his new meds. 'My anxiety levels are so low these days. I don't feel the stress.'

Lewis, who has therapy every week now, will hit the road on September 6 for his first tour show in Sheffield, concluding the sold-out run of limited shows in Dublin on September 30.
After being forced to release more tickets due to astonishingly high demand, Lewis wrote on Instagram: 'honestly didn't expect this at all… genuinely had no idea what to expect after taking a break for so long so be seeing this tour sell out faster than any tour i've ever played is the most incredible surreal feeling ❤️ thank you to every single one of you who got a ticket and i'm very sorry to any of you who wanted to come and missed out this time.'
He added: 'there won't be any other shows for now, want to make sure I don't push myself too far too soon. means more than ya know how many of you were waiting to get tickets this morning x'

I hope Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac saw what I did in Wrexham loss – they must spend again
I hope Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac saw what I did in Wrexham loss – they must spend again Wrexham's frailties were there for their Hollywood owners to see in person as they slumped to a 3-2 defeat at home to West Brom - and it will require them to spend again Our Wrexham man Liam had a similar expression to Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds as Wrexham shipped three at home (Image: Ryan Browne/Shutterstock) Wrexham's defensive frailties were laid bare for all to see as they suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to West Brom in the Championship on Saturday. As I caught a glimpse at the frustrated expression on the players' faces from my seat in the Macron Stand after the final whistle, it was hard not to wonder what the club's celebrity co-owners made of it all. Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac jetted in for Wrexham's first home game in the second tier for 43 years and the pair were all smiles as they walked round the pitch before kick off. After notching an impressive three promotions in a row, manager Phil Parkinson has been well-backed by the two actors during the summer transfer window. High profile signings like Welsh international trio Danny Ward, Kieffer Moore and Nathan Broadhead have been made to help Wrexham compete in the Championship. Broadhead became the latest player to break the club's transfer record when his arrival from Ipswich Town was announced on Thursday in a deal reportedly worth up £10million. Most of the talk I heard in the city centre pubs in the build-up to the match was about the quality the 27-year-old forward would bring to the table. In fact, such was the buzz surrounding the move that even Deadpool star Reynolds admitted to ITV that he felt nervous before meeting him. Despite Wrexham suffering a late collapse in their opening tie away at Southampton last week, the co-owners must therefore have been excited to see what their money had bought. The early signs were promising as the Red Dragons looked like a team capable of giving an established Championship side a decent contest. Moore's performances have been an early highlight for Wrexham since the striker joined from Sheffield United for £2m, with his physical presence suiting Parkinson's system down the ground. Article continues below Kieffer Moore's performances have been an early season highlight for Wrexham (Image: Adam Fradgley/West Brom via Getty) He was lively in the early stages against West Brom, with former Sheffield Wednesday man Josh Windass providing the perfect foil alongside him up front. However, Wrexham were dealt a blow in the 20th minute as Isaac Price put the away side in front after Tom Fellows beat James McClean for pace on the wing. Ten minutes later, they suffered another setback as Windass had to be taken off with a hamstring injury. It meant Reynolds and Mac got the chance to catch a proper glimpse of Broadhead in action after he was brought on to replace him. Wrexham equalised shortly before half time as Lewis O'Brien netted his first goal for the club after the Baggies failed to clear their lines. And Broadhead came agonisingly close to scoring on his debut just after the restart as he fired a chance wide. That was as good as it got for Parkinson's side as mistakes at the back marred the occasion. There were groans around me as former Leicester goalkeeper Ward was beaten at his near post by Jed Wallace, who restored West Brom's advantage in the 74th minute. Wrexham were left to rue some poor defending against West Brom (Image: Adam Fradgley/West Brom via Getty) Ward was a surprise inclusion for the league opener against Southampton as many supporters expected Wrexham's established No. 1, Arthur Okonkwo, to start in goal. The ex-Arsenal youngster enjoyed a record-breaking campaign last season, managing 19 league clean sheets as his team gained promotion from League One. Ward, meanwhile, came with less than rave reviews from his time at Leicester. Wrexham were undone again seven minutes later following some suspect defending, as Price grabbed his second, heading home a cross from Mikey Johnston. There were gleeful chants of "F*** Hollywood" from the away supporters as they savoured the moment. Substitute Sam Smith grabbed a late consolation, but Wrexham are without a point on the board after their opening two games. For all the owners' spending, one area their team is lacking experience is at the heart of defence. Summer signing Conor Coady is the one exception, given his Premier League pedigree. Learn more from £4.99 Disney+ Get Disney+ here Product Description Welcome to Wrexham is back on Disney+ for a fourth season. Fans can watch the series with a £4.99 monthly plan, or get 12 months for the price of 10 by paying for a year upfront. But neither of the other two starting centre-backs on Saturday, Lewis Brunt and Max Cleworth, had played a single minute in the Championship before this season. Of course, it's still early days for Wrexham and with nine new faces, it was always going to take time for them to gel. Article continues below There have been flashes of their potential, particularly in attack, meaning there's no need to press the panic button. Parkinson has plenty of credit in the bank and switching Ward for Okonkwo may solve some issues. However, the biggest worry is in defence, and I hope Reynolds and Mac flew home realising the need to shore up that backline. The West Brom defeat was a harsh reminder that errors will be punished heavily in the Championship. This is by far the biggest step up that Wrexham have made on their meteoric rise. Despite their significant outlay to date, the Tinseltown duo will still need to fork out more, especially if they want to turn their long-term ambition of reaching the Premier League into a reality.

Couple slammed for 'embarrassing' gender reveal, as ‘self centred' dad-to-be ‘makes the whole thing about him'
A COUPLE have been slammed for their "embarrassing" gender reveal, which centred almost entirely around the dad-to-be. A video of the big reveal was shared by fitness pro Shai Ross on his Instagram, but was changed to black and white at the last second to keep his and his wife's baby's gender a secret. 2 2 In the clip, a shirtless Shai was seen flexing his muscles as he lifted a huge weight bar above his head. He then bought it back down on the back of his neck and shoulders, before jumping onto a box and swinging the massive bar around his back. Once he'd done that, he prepared to do a back somersault. After getting himself ready for the daring move, Shai jumped into it, turning impressively in the air. As he landed, his feet hit a large mat on the floor, which then exploded with smoke and confetti. While they'd edited the video to conceal their baby's gender at first, the pair have since revealed they're having a baby girl - so the smoke and confetti were pink. And despite their sheer joy over the gender reveal, the couple quickly found themselves targeted by people online, who questioned why Shai was virtually the only one seen in the video. His wife made a blink and you'll miss it appearance at the end of the clip, as she and Shai hugged. And the comments section of the Instagram post was immediately flooded with messages from angry viewers, with one writing: "This is so embarrassing!" "Why is something so special all about him and not the woman who's actually carrying the child?" another questioned. Love Island Shaughna Phillips reveals unborn baby's gender in emotional video with jailbird boyfriend out on day release "Bro is not the main character," a third raged. "Self centered reveal," someone else said. "Bro made this whole thing about him," another sighed. And as someone else called it "f**king cringe", another agreed, adding that it was "the corniest s**t ever". However, there were those who defended Shai for the gender reveal, with one writing: "Oh all are can do whatever he wants!" "Why are people hating? Men don't have to put in any work to make the baby so let him put some effort in to announce it!" another grinned. What's the Deal with Gender Reveals & Why is Everyone Having Them? What Is A Gender Reveal? Gender reveal parties are celebrations where expectant parents announce the sex of their baby in a creative and often dramatic way. These events have gained significant popularity, especially through social media. The trend began in the late 2000s and has since exploded in popularity. The concept was popularised by parents who wanted to share their excitement with family and friends in a memorable and engaging way. Common Methods: Cakes: Cutting a cake filled with either blue or pink filling. Balloons: Popping a balloon to release colored confetti. Smoke Bombs: Releasing colored smoke. Piñatas: Breaking a piñata to reveal colored candies or confetti. Fireworks: Using fireworks to display blue or pink colors. Why Are They So Popular? Social Media Influence: Platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube have amplified the trend, with many parents posting videos and photos that go viral. Milestone Celebration: It's an additional way for parents to celebrate a significant milestone during pregnancy. Creativity: These events offer an outlet for parents to be creative and personalize their announcement. Community Sharing: They provide an opportunity to include extended family and friends in the pregnancy journey. Controversies: Safety Concerns: Some gender reveal methods have led to accidents and even wildfires. Environmental Impact: The use of non-biodegradable materials and fireworks can have environmental consequences. Inclusivity: There's growing awareness and sensitivity towards non-binary and transgender identities, leading to criticism that these events can be exclusionary. Despite the controversies, gender reveal parties continue to evolve. Some parents are opting for more eco-friendly and inclusive ways to celebrate, while others are choosing to forgo the tradition altogether. In summary, gender reveals are a modern trend driven by social media, creativity, and the desire to celebrate milestones. However, they also come with their share of controversies, prompting some to reconsider how they choose to share their baby news. "Why is it always my people trying to demean and hurt each other?" a third said. "I don't understand. Congratulations man!"
