Greek Chain Crepa Crepa Flips Its Way Into Abu Dhabi
May 31, 2025
Things are getting deliciously crêped up in Abu Dhabi. Crepa Crepa, the beloved Greek-born creperie that's been flipping floury goodness since 1997, has officially launched its first UAE location at My City Centre Masdar in Masdar City.
Starting out as an 8-square-metre slice of heaven on the island of Kos, Crepa Crepa has since rolled out across Greece, Cyprus, and Tunisia—and now the Gulf. Staying true to its roots, the Abu Dhabi outpost serves up a wide spread of sweet and savoury crepes, waffles, and pancakes, all whipped up fresh before your eyes.
From French-style 'Croque Madame' crepes to Greek 'Kagianas,' the savoury menu layers classic flavours with a Mediterranean twist. For sweet tooths, the options are anything but flat: think praline banana, white chocolate Oreo, crispy toffee caramel, and strawberry cheesecake. You can even build your own if you're feeling a bit feta-venturous.

Germany Halts Military Exports to Israel
Israa Farhan Germany has suspended all military exports to Israel that could potentially be used in Gaza, following Israel's recent decision to implement a plan to take full control of Gaza City. Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced the decision on Friday, stating that the move comes in response to growing concerns over the humanitarian situation in the war-torn enclave. In an official statement, Merz emphasized that Germany's top priorities are securing the release of Israeli hostages and facilitating a ceasefire. He also voiced serious concern about the suffering of Gaza's civilian population, which continues to endure heavy bombardment and dire humanitarian conditions. The announcement follows the Israeli security cabinet's approval of a new plan put forward by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The plan, which has drawn sharp criticism internationally, aims to establish full Israeli military control over Gaza City, located in the north of the besieged territory. This decision comes after nearly two years of relentless conflict and widespread devastation across Gaza. According to Netanyahu's office, the Israeli military is preparing to seize control of the city while coordinating the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians outside combat zones. The cabinet voted in favor of five key principles for ending the war: dismantling Hamas; securing the return of all hostages, both living and deceased; disarming the entire Gaza Strip; maintaining Israeli security control over the region; and establishing a new civilian administration that is independent of both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority. The majority of Israeli ministers rejected alternative proposals, arguing they would fail to defeat Hamas or ensure the return of hostages. Currently, Israeli forces occupy or conduct ground operations in approximately 75% of Gaza. Military activities are primarily launched from established positions within the strip or from the Israeli border, with near-daily airstrikes and artillery fire continuing across the territory read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

North Korea Reaffirms Right to Space Exploration
Israa Farhan North Korea has restated its legal right to explore outer space, marking the third anniversary of a revised space development law that expanded its mission to include defense capabilities. In a statement published by the state-run Korean Central News Agency, Jang Song-chol, a dean at Kim Il Sung University, highlighted the 2022 parliamentary amendment that laid the legal groundwork for advancing North Korea's space ambitions. According to Jang, the legislative revision has accelerated the country's space industry and reinforced its sovereignty in space exploration. He also emphasized the importance of cultivating legal expertise in space law to support the country's long-term goals. North Korea has been increasing its focus on research and education in space law to align its space activities with both domestic and international regulations. The country insists it is fully entitled to become a major space power. In November 2023, North Korea launched a military reconnaissance satellite and pledged to send three more into orbit by the end of 2024. However, those plans have not materialized, with a failed satellite launch in May 2024 casting doubt on the program's progress. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results
