Meghan's As Ever jam is actually made in factory 2,000 miles from Montecito
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, had claimed the first batches of her latest As Ever products, including her jam and £21-a-jar honey, had sold out within hours of release
A jam Meghan Markle has released under her new brand As Ever is actually made 2,000 miles from her mansion.
The pricey preserve is said to be "inspired by the recipe Meghan crafted in her home kitchen" and an Instagram video shows a fruity mixture bubbling in a pot at the duchess' Californian property. However, it has now been revealed the jam - which Meghan sells for £6.50 per jar - is produced in a factory in Illinois, some 2,000 miles from Montecito.
It is actually manufactured by the same US giant which sells Meghan's £9 packs of herbal tea. It also makes her sold-out orange blossom honey, priced at £21-a-jar – although it is not known whether it manufactures her newly released apricot preserve. Meghan, 43, had claimed last week the first batches of the apricot preserve and other new treats had sold out within hours of release online.
But one tough food critic told the media she felt the jam was "a real disappointment" upon reviewing the fruity spread. Donna Collins blasted the jam, describing it as "too runny" to work.
And mother-of-two Meghan faces more scrutiny today after it has emerged The Republic of Tea, which produces the jam, is based 2,000 miles from Montecito, quite the contrast to the homely image the duchess has presented in marketing for the preserve.
A source close to the duchess said in order to formulate the commercial product, As Ever started with the spread Meghan makes at home "and worked to develop a version of it that could be produced at scale".
Meghan's website, though, describes her "signature" raspberry jam as "inspired by the recipe she made in her home kitchen" – and says it was deliberately crafted with a fluid texture". On her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, she described harvesting berries and making small batches of jars in her kitchen, adding: "I did save one of 50 for my mom."
However, a source close to Meghan has confirmed to the Daily Mail that The Republic of Tea makes her As Ever raspberry spread, but a new supplier would soon be used. The Republic of Tea's headquarters is in Larkspur, California, 350 miles from Meghan's mansion - but the factory in which the jam is said to be made is in Illinois, which is in the Midwestern United States.
In a statement given to the Mail, Netflix said: "Netflix and As Ever take pride in working with best-in-class vendors that meet our high standards for exceptional products. It's been exciting to see how much fans have embraced the As Ever product line, with the first two launches selling out so quickly We're looking forward to continued success as we expand and release more As Ever product throughout the year and beyond."

Salt in Beckhams wound as Nicola Peltz throws lavish party for her dad
Distant Brooklyn Beckham has delivered another heartbreaking blow to dad David as he celebrated his father-in-law's birthday having shunned his 50th. Speculation of tension between Victoria and David and their son and his wife was initially sparked by an incident over a wedding dress and, three years on, LA-based Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz have now reportedly cut contact altogether. Brooklyn did not attend any of David's celebrations and failed to mark his long awaited knighthood and Father's Day. But this weekend, the former football star's eldest enjoyed his billionaire father-in-law Nelson's 83rd birthday with a lavish party. Brooklyn's wife Nicola helped put on the bash at the family home, and showed off the lavish bash at their incredible mansion on social media. Taking to Instagram with a number of photos of the big day, she called it "magic" as she showed off the efforts the family had gone to. It comes as Brooklyn's mum Victoria, 51, enjoyed her own bittersweet family time back in the UK. The Spice Girl turned fashion designer has been struggling with conflict in her beloved family as Brooklyn is said to have cut contact. Amid the ongoing pain, Victoria made sure to surround herself with her family. The businesswoman enjoyed time with her own parents as they lapped up the sunny weather back home. Victoria, who smiled as she stood in between her mum and dad, declared: "Family weekends make me happy!!! Love you @ Things came to a head for the famous family when Brooklyn and his wife Nicola snubbed all of dad David's 50th birthday celebrations last month. The blows kept coming for Posh and Becks, however, as he also failed to acknowledge Victoria's birthday online. It is unclear if Brooklyn has reached out after David's recent hospital stay. A source close to the former Manchester United star confirmed Sir David underwent secret surgery to repair a broken wrist that he sustained 22 years ago - during a friendly football match against South Africa in 2003. It didn't stop David celebrate his mother's birthday, and made sure to give Brooklyn a nod. He captioned the tribute post: "Happy birthday mum we love you so much I hope u have the best day. "Thank you for always being there for us all Love you x @sandra_beckham49 @lynnebeckhambriggs1972 @jo_jo_beckham_ @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven." Victoria earleir shared a snap of David lying in bed, adding "Get well soon, Daddy," over the snap of him smiling while wearing a hospital gown. She also gave him a friendship bracelet made with white beads to form 'Get Well Soon'. David recently revealed his long-running career left him with multiple injuries and years of "wear and tear". He said: "Certain parts of my body were a real mess." Reports have claimed Brooklyn has stopped responding to his famous parents and siblings as he continues to show his loyalities to Nicola. However, things took a turn this week when Brooklyn reached out to his family for the first time on social media. Last month, the Mirror revealed how David and Victoria's eldest son was in London at the same time as his dad, but kept his visit a secret. A picture uploaded to Instagram showed Brooklyn sipping a pint in a pub, with bottles of his own-brand hot sauce on the table in front of him. Innocuous enough to outsiders – but friends of the Beckhams recognised the distinctive light fittings and stark green walls in the background. One pal told us: 'The picture was taken in London's Wigmore pub, which is part of the Langham Hotel where the Beckhams have sometimes stayed. The fact that Brooklyn was in the country and failed to see any of his family was heartbreaking. And not only that, but here he was posting about it.'

While her famous sisters were spotted at the huge celebrations, Kourtney shared what she got up to at the weekend, and it looked very different. On 27 June, Lauren and Jeff exchanged vows at the San Giorgio Maggiore island, set against Venice's iconic lagoon. The ceremony unfolded in a black‑tie garden event—Lauren arrived in a cream Dior suit before switching into a custom Dolce & Gabbana lace gown. Around 200 high‑profile guests arrived by water taxi to witness the nuptials, including Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian & Kylie Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bill Gates, Tom Brady, Usher, Orlando Bloom and Kris Jenner. The oldest Kardashian sister, Kourtney, 46, received widespread praise from fans for being the only Kardashian-Jenner sister to skip the huge wedding and instead spent time with her own husband, Travis Barker and their children. Kourtney shared a carousel of images from her weekend, which appears to have been spent with her family. One snap included her going to the beach, while another looked like she was ready for a date night. Kardashian also included a photo of a vintage convertible car and a video as she was driving along the beachfront. A sweet snap also featured her youngest children holding hands as they were walking down the street. Kourtney shares three children with her ex-partner, Scott Disick and one with her husband, Travis. She is a proud mom to Mason Disick, 15, Penelope Disick, 12, and Reign Disick, 10, as well as one and a half year old Rocky Thirteen Barker. Kourtney recieved praise from fans for not following her sisters to Italy, while others questioned her friendship with the newlyweds. One person said: 'Kourtney said no Bezos thank you I have to go to the beach and eat strawberries', while another added: 'Cool Kardashians say no to the Bezos wedding !'. A fourth chimed in: 'Why didn't you go to Jeff's wedding?', while another penned: 'My favorite Kardashian. Living your best authentic no bs life'. Following the ceremony, the blushing bride confirmed her marriage on Instagram, changing her handle to 'Lauren Sánchez Bezos' and sharing the first official wedding photo with the caption '06/27/2025.' The three-day multi-million dollar celebrations began with a welcome party on June 26 and wrapped on June 28. The final night featured live performances from Usher and DJ Cassidy, and, according to a source, the event 'went until 4 in the morning'. Kim Kardashian wrote on Instagram that there was 'so much love in the air'.
