Oasis fans spot Liam Gallagher's heartwarming hidden tribute during Cardiff gigs

As Oasis took the stage for the first time in 16 years, Liam Gallagher gave a heartwarming tribute to his dog Buttons who he rescued from Thailand two years ago
As Liam Gallagher reunited with his brother Noel Gallagher on the stage for the first time in 16 years, he gave a heartwarming tribute to his dog during their first gig back. As they took the stage in Cardiff to open their iconic reunion tour, an image of the dog named Buttons was included in the visuals on the big screen behind the brothers.
Buttons has a wild life story of starting out homeless in Thailand to finding a home with one of the Oasis frontmen. Niall Harbison, who founded the Happy Doggo sanctuary in Thailand, explained the dog's wonderful story online, which triggered a huge response from fans.

He explained that the dog Buttons was an abandoned puppy who walked into the sanctuary while it was being built and ended up getting adopted by none other than Liam Gallagher.

Naill wrote on X, formally known as Twitter, 'Most people were probably looking at Liam Gallagher and Oasis on stage, Look a little closer and you'll spot a dog called Buttons.
"Her's is a remarkable story. Buttons was a little puppy who walked into our sanctuary in Thailand in the middle of the jungle just as it was getting built. She had been abandoned. She kept coming back daily for food and hoping for company.
'Day after day Buttons came back. I eventually took her in and put her up for adoption. Little did I know but Liam and his partner Debbie had been following. After a long process she was adopted to them in the UK.'
The sweet dog could be seen in multicolours on the big screen with a button on either side of its adorable face while the brothers performed to a huge crowd.

Continuing the story, Naill added: 'Buttons has grown into a beloved member of the family and landed on her paws. Liam has been a big supporter of We Are Happy Doggo, and donated his globe from the last tour to raise funds.'
'I don't think Buttons realises her dad is a rock star. She just loves her humans. So if you are wondering why there is a dog on the Oasis screens now you know. Well done Buttons. I think you can say you've made it when your dad has you on the big screen.'
One person wrote in response: "She is a gorgeous dog! What a wonderful story!", while another added: "Buttons is a rags-to-riches story, going from days of not knowing if a human would feed her, or kick her, to being queen of someone's heart. She even looks regal.'
In addition, Oasis delivered a touching tribute to the late footballer Diogo Jota. The Gallagher brothers performed their 1994 classic Live Forever in memory of Jota, who tragically passed away at the age of 28, along with his younger brother, following a devastating car crash on July 3.

Oasis fan hits out before Edinburgh gigs after noticing 'something wrong with crowd'

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info While the Cardiff instalment of Oasis's global tour had many fans belting out anthems with gusto, not all shared the same enthusiasm, as one TikTok user's video revealed. The footage captured on Saturday evening, during the second night of the tour at the Principality Stadium, showed a crowd seemingly indifferent to the Gallagher brothers' stage presence, much to the dismay of the fan filming. Laura Bradshaw, identified as the disgruntled fan, swept her camera across the seated spectators and vented her frustration in the caption: "Why is everyone sat down - this is who you lost tickets to btw," accompanied by a tearful emoji. READ MORE - Exact date Edinburgh heatwave coming as residents set for temperatures of 27C READ MORE - Fans divided after Edinburgh Castle gig as Marti Pellow takes to stage The video sparked debate among viewers. Some echoed Laura's sentiments, with one commenting, "why is no one singing! I wasn't sat down. Stood up singing loud and proud as everyone should have been for the struggle it was to get tickets." Others lamented the missed opportunity for die-hard supporters, with remarks like, "Real fans of oasis missed out so people can come and sit down at a concert.", reports the Mirror. Complaints about the subdued atmosphere were also voiced, with a comment stating, "WHY IS IT SO QUIET." However, not everyone agreed with the criticism. One attendee retorted, "we were in seats on the left side and we all stood up for the entire gig!". Another offered a humorous explanation, "Because they're original fans and our backs are shot to pieces." A third individual weighed in, remarking: "I would be seating too - appreciating and taking it all in. Standing and jumping about isn't the only way to enjoy it." And a fourth contributed: "What are they meant to do, it's difficult to dance to Cast No Shadow." (Image:) (Image:) (Image: laurabradshxw/Tiktok) A fifth person pointed out: "Because standing up at a gig has no bearing on my of how much of a fan you are?". This follows an incident where an Oasis fan became an internet sensation after she was spotted using the music identification app Shazam to discover the title of "one of the greatest songs of all time." The Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, drew an audience of over 75,000 as they reunited on stage for the first time in 16 years, launching their global comeback tour. Richard Ashcroft from The Verve warmed up the crowd with his rendition of the iconic 1997 track Bitter Sweet Symphony. Yet, amidst the fans, one woman was unfamiliar with the tune. A TikTok video captured the moment the gig-goer used Shazam to identify the song, which Rolling Stone magazine has hailed as one of the greatest ever. The fan who recorded the scene captioned her video: "Imagine not knowing the greatest song of all time." Upon viewing the footage, numerous people flocked to social media to express their indignation. One commenter posted: "Seriously! I couldn't get a ticket because of these people." Another lamented: "This is the people who got our tickets." A third shared their frustration: "this is who i lost my tickets too. And there's real fans from the 90's that couldn't get tickets'". Another disgruntled fan chimed in: "nah there's no way i lost tickets to someone shazaming one of the most popular songs of the britpop era."

Brits humiliated as 'simple' maths question for children leaves adults stumped

A seemingly simple maths question designed for children has left swathes of adults struggling to work out the answer - with some saying it 'hurts their head' to think about it Swathes of Brits have been left red-faced after failing to solve this 'simple' children's maths puzzle. Brainteasers like this may seem like just a little bit of fun, but they're actually a great form of mental exercise. There has even been some research published that suggests regularly solving puzzles like this one can actually help improve your concentration levels and better your attention span. ‌ They're also a great way to spice up your morning commute, and can keep the kids quiet for a couple of minutes while you try to get dinner sorted in peace. However, this particular brainteaser is leaving fully grown adults rather humiliated - as they just can't manage to solve it. ‌ Admit it, we've all been stumped by a maths question that seems like child's play for our kids but leaves us scratching our heads. With many mathematical concepts gathering dust in the recesses of our memories, it's no surprise we're left baffled by puzzles meant to be easy-peasy. And this crafty conundrum is causing quite the stir online. The brainteaser spread like wildfire on social media, with some folks even claiming it bamboozled their brains so much it 'hurt'. As previously reported, the brainteaser made its rounds on X (formerly Twitter) courtesy of @yawdmontweet, who asked: "What is the closest time to midnight?" You have four choices to pick from: A. 11:55 am B. 12:06 am C. 11:50 am D. 12:03 am While the answer might leap out at you, the replies under the viral post were a mix of confusion and debate. A large chunk of the commenters landed on A, figuring it's the one closest to midnight approaching. A baffled user declared: "It says closest 'to' midnight. And not 'from' Midnight. Stop overcomplicating everything. The answer is A." ‌ Another pointed out: "It says closest TO midnight ... not after midnight. A," while a third added: "Would have to be A. Time cannot go in reverse so the fact that B and D are after midnight means they can't be the answer." But others quickly shot down this theory, arguing that the question was simply asking which time was 'closest' to midnight, regardless of whether it came before or after it, leading them to insist that the correct answer would be D, 12:03 am. One person argued: "Y'all are getting me f***ing mad now. If you call an airline and ask for the closest flight to midnight possible and they put you on an 11:55 am flight instead of a few minutes past midnight, you would be frigging furious. Maths is supposed to be practical." Support came from another who said: "How y'all saying 'to' not 'after'. If you have to work at midnight and you're running late, and you tell the boss 'I'll get there as close to the time as possible' which of these is that?". Someone else jumped in to clarify: "The question speaks to proximity and not chronology, so the answer is D," while yet another stated firmly: "Clearly a lot of children have been left behind. The answer is D! 'To' just means closest to the time itself, not insinuating that it's necessarily before midnight." Up for another mental workout? Liam and Noel ‘staying in separate hotels' on Oasis tour

Noel and Liam Gallagher stayed at different hotels 20 miles apart on the first two nights of the Oasis reunion tour, it has been claimed. The Oasis frontmen put years of mutual animosity behind them to perform together in Cardiff on Friday and Saturday to 75,000 fans at the Principality Stadium. After the gigs ended, however, the brothers travelled to separate hotels, MailOnline reported. When Oasis's two-hour long gig ended on Friday night, Liam left the stage immediately and got into a black SUV. Noel, meanwhile, remained on the stage and waved to fans before walking off with the rest of the band. Liam, 52, is said to have booked the Celtic Manor Resort, which is located on the edge of Newport. Meanwhile, Noel, 58, stayed at the Parkgate Hotel, a four-star venue next to the Principality Stadium. Last month, the hotel suggested on TikTok it might be hosting one of the brothers. 'Rumour has it a certain rock 'n' roll star is checking in ahead of the big gig at the Principality,' a spokesman said at the time. He is said to have stayed at the hotel with his daughter, Anaïs Gallagher, a 25-year-old model who also attended the gig. It is unclear whether the brothers' separate hotel bookings were down to tensions in the band. 'The atmosphere was absolutely electric and Liam and Noel were delighted with the first night,' a source told The Sun on Sunday. 'They were a bit shell-shocked. It went better than anyone could have imagined. The lead-up has all been carefully orchestrated, as everyone knows how delicate and fragile Liam and Noel's relationship is. 'They don't want to over-expose themselves to each other. Having separate residences is the best option so they can relax in their own space.' Speaking to The Mail on Sunday, however, another source said: 'They can't stand each other because they still have not forgiven each other. It's all very frosty and awkward. We all doubt they'll make it to Australia at this rate.' As the show began shortly after 8pm, the Gallagher brothers walked onstage side-by-side before clasping their hands together in the air. For the rest of the set, however, the pair stood about 30ft apart and interacted little. Oasis broke up in 2009 after a backstage altercation between Noel and Liam at the Rock en Seine festival near Paris. In the years since, the former bandmates traded insults in public, with Liam deriding his brother as a 'potato'. Last August, they announced that 'the guns have fallen silent' and that they would reform to play a tour in 2025. Its 41 sold-out shows will see the band appear in Britain, America, Australia and South America. According to analysis by Birmingham City University, it could make Oasis £400 million from ticket sales and merchandise.
