The couple got engaged in December after over a year of dating and although they haven't yet set a date for their nuptials, the 37-year-old producer admitted he's already invited his friend and collaborator, who he previously worked with on Shape of You, Castle on the Hill, and Justin Bieber's Love Yourself.
Speaking on the Australian TV show Today, Benny said: "I just told him, 'I'm going to have a wedding and you're going to come to the wedding.
"Eventually Ed will come to our wedding when we do have one, but unfortunately we have not scheduled one yet — but we will!"
After Benny and Selena got engaged, they created songs that eventually ended up on their first joint album, I Said I Love You First, which was released in March, but they had never deliberately planned to make such a project together.
Speaking about how their LP came to fruition, Benny said: "We just started making music in our house as a little fun activity and then all of a sudden we had one song, then two songs, then three songs, then four songs.
"She was just a joy to work with and it was better to work with her than anyone else because, at the end of the day, I get to kiss her too."
During the recording process, a bird caused Benny and Selena to fight.
Speaking to Kent 'Smallzy' Small on the latest episode of the Smallzy's Surgery podcast, he said: "The biggest fight we had making the record is we did it at home, and there were birds that would chirp only when she was recording and never any time else.
"And I didn't believe her for the first two weeks."
Selena recently revealed she does not like to refer to Benny as her fiance.
Appearing with her partner on the Table Manners podcast in April, the 32-year-old singer explained: "[Calling him my fiance is] so strange.
"I just say, my partner or Benny. But the other day, I caught myself saying, 'Well, my boyfriend...' but that's not quite why we're there."
And after he and Selena shared their first kiss, Benny knew he wanted to "have a baby" with his lover.
Appearing on Spotify's Countdown To series in March, he said: "I knew right after we kissed, I was like, 'Oh wow. I'm probably going to marry this person.'
"Well, I didn't say marry but I was like, 'I'm probably going to have a baby with this person.'"

From sand dune surfing to ‘aha' moments: What travelling taught these S'porean families about each other
In celebration of SG60, Scoot sent three content creators and their loved ones on boundary-pushing trips that sparked discovery and deepened ties From Shantou to Perth and Ipoh, these Singaporean families found fresh ways to reconnect through travel with Scoot. Sometimes, the essence of travel extends beyond discovering new destinations. It lies in the meaningful connections formed and fresh perspectives gained through shared experiences with loved ones. As Singapore marks its 60th anniversary, home-grown airline Scoot is celebrating uniquely Singaporean traits: a boundary-pushing spirit and a shared curiosity that spans generations. The third instalment of its National Day campaign invites families and loved ones across the nation to venture beyond their comfort zones. Through trips to destinations within Scoot's network, three content creators discover renewed appreciation for the people closest to them. Uncovering the beauty of generational differences in Ipoh Ms Pamela Lee Nur Shuhadah , for example, never thought that her recent girls-only trip with her mother would turn out to be such an enlightening one for both of them. On their Scoot trip to Ipoh , Ms Lee, a 25-year-old, realised that despite their close relationship, they were polar opposites as travellers. 'I'm an overpacker; she brings just enough. She's super prepared; I'm always just winging it. And she's so carefree, whereas I'm too careful,' she says. Nevertheless, the opportunity to explore a new city for the first time together – including a memorable batik painting session – while navigating each other's travel quirks, helped them gain a deeper understanding of each other and strengthened their mother-daughter bond more than ever. 'She never settles, and she's not afraid of venturing beyond what she knows. This trip showed me that no matter how old she gets, she's always going to be pushing boundaries. And that inspires me a lot,' says Ms Lee. Ms Lee and her mum bonded over travel quirks and batik painting on their girls-only getaway to Ipoh. PHOTO: SCOOT Embracing adventure in Perth It was also a trip of firsts for actor-host J Jaikishan and his mother. While they usually travel to Perth to visit his sister during her school breaks, they experienced the Australian city properly as tourists for the first time – with Scoot. On their trip, the mother-son duo went sandboarding down the dunes in Lancelin, and visited the Caversham Wildlife Park to mingle with animals up close and personal – two activities that Mr Kishan quips his mother was much more enthusiastic about than he was. 'She was just going up and down the sand dunes, and asking to feed snakes. Meanwhile, I'm like 'life is already so difficult, can I do something more relaxing instead, please?',' jokes the 32-year-old. According to Mr Kishan, the multiple holidays with his mother over the years, culminating in this recent Perth trip, helped him realise how much his mother had come out of her shell – and how proud it made him. 'My mum has been a very giving person her whole life, and now, to see her put herself first and take charge of what she wants to do – it's also reminded me to stop second-guessing myself. I hope to be more like her!' Mr Kishan's mum surprised him with her sense of adventure in Perth, from surfing sand dunes to meeting animals up close at wildlife parks. PHOTO: SCOOT Bonding over heritage in Shantou Emcee-host Charmaine Yee's trip to Shantou, on the other hand, was a multi-generational affair involving her mother, husband and two-year-old daughter Mila. Through a hiking expedition around the Tashan Scenic Area, a Teochew png kueh-making session and savouring local delicacies like beef hot pot and goose meat, the whole family bonded over the many heritage discoveries Shantou has to offer. 'This trip reminded me that stepping into the unknown often brings the richest, most surprising experiences, especially when shared across generations – like when Mila tried goose meat for the first time and loved it, and when we attempted to make our own kueh, which made for a rich experience,' explains the 38-year-old former radio DJ. The Shantou trip also marked a subtle shift in family roles. Says Ms Yee: 'My mum said she saw a new side of me – not just as her daughter, but now as a mother myself, navigating travel with a toddler. 'My mum used to plan every family trip. Now, she's taken on the role of grandmother – bonding with Mila, sharing stories, and simply being present.' Ms Yee's multi-generational trip to Shantou was filled with heritage eats and family bonding time – even for little Mila. SINGAPORE – When Australian diver Cassiel Rousseau was 11, he was performing acrobatics of a very different kind, not in front of a diving crowd but a reality TV audience. He was the youngest member of an acrobatic troupe from Brisbane that made the 2012 grand final of reality show Australia's Got Talent and, as part of the act, he was catapulted from one side of the stage to the other. Today, Rousseau, 24, is a serious performer and a world champion. He proved his credentials on Aug 3, when he became a two-time 10m platform world champion at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships (WCH). The final day of diving saw the Australian clinch the gold medal with 534.80 points from six dives at the OCBC Aquatic Centre. Oleksii Sereda earned Ukraine's first medal of this meet, as he finished 19.60 points behind Rousseau to take the silver, while Randal Willars Valdez of Mexico won bronze with 511.95 points. When The Straits Times asked Rosseau if he ever thought his days as a circus act and TV talent would lead him to become the world's best in his diving discipline, he burst out in laughter. That's crazy. It just means that I'm doing well, obviously,' he said. 'Something is going right. It is down to having fun and being motivated. I have a great support team back at home. I have a great support team here.' Rousseau, whose first world title came in 2023, has not only beaten his opponents, but also overcome a fear of heights – by calming himself down before each dive. The gold medal on Aug 3 adds to the silver medal which he won alongside compatriot Maddison Keeney in the mixed 3m synchronised event on July 30. Rousseau said he was surprised by his latest win. 'I knew it was possible to get on the podium, but to become first again, I didn't really think there was really a chance, just because of how strong the event is,' said the Australian. 'So, yes, unexpected, but definitely, very grateful for being able to perform today.' While he has now won the world title twice, Rousseau has yet to bag an Olympic medal. He finished eighth in the men's 10m platform at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and then fourth at the Paris 2024 Olympics. A medal at the 2028 Los Angeles Games will mean that he will be the second Olympic medallist in his family. His grandfather, French cyclist Michel Rousseau, won gold in the individual sprint at Melbourne 1956. But Rousseau, whose mother, moved from Paris to Australia, does not feel any pressure about winning medals. He said: 'I don't really care about that. My philosophy is that this is a hobby for me. If I'm not having fun, that's when I'm going to quit. Coming into this year, I've been having a lot more fun... and that is why I do the sport. Even if I didn't finish first today, that fun would have still carried across.' The silver medal, however, was priceless for Sereda, whose country has been devastated by Russia's invasion. Sereda, who trains in Kiev, said that multiple times during his training, the session would often have to be paused so that he can seek shelter. 'I am really proud to represent my country in this way,' said the 19-year-old. 'Even in these horrible, awful conditions, with war, with rockets, all the time, we're capable of training and fighting.' With Australia, Ukraine and Mexico securing the podium spots, it meant that it was the first diving event here in which China failed to win a medal. At Paris 2024, China became the first nation to sweep all eight gold medals at the Olympics. While a similar shutout was not possible this time around, Chinese divers were still named the best diving team on Aug 3, as they had been the most dominant, winning nine gold medals, three silvers and four bronzes from 13 events. Australia were second with two golds and a silver. China remain the standard-bearers of the sport, but there are signs that the 'outsiders' are not too far behind. On Aug 1, Mexican diver Osmar Olvera Ibarra ended China's near two-decade stranglehold on the men's 3m springboard with his maiden gold medal in the event preventing the diving powerhouse, represented by Cao Yuan and Wang Zongyuan, from making it 11 consecutive wins. Cao and Wang finished second and third respectively. On July 30, Chiara Pellacani and Matteo Santoro won Italy's first-ever mixed 3m synchronised title at the WCH and first WCH diving gold since 2015. On July 26, the first day of the diving events, Australia's Maddison Keeney won gold in the women's 1m springboard ahead of China's Li Yajie.
