Lamborghini yacht that sank near Miami Beach was overloaded by 20 people, its specs show
The 65-foot yacht that sank near Miami Beach Saturday with more than 30 social media influencers on board was woefully over capacity, according to the specifications on a for-sale listing for the vessel.
The Tecnomar Lamborghini 63 — named TNT — went down in shallow water near Monument Island shortly after 5 p.m.
All 32 passengers and crew were safely removed from the vessel, which has since been floated to the surface and removed from the waterway, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, which is the lead investigative agency on the incident.

According to the listing for the boat on the Yacht World vessel broker site, its maximum capacity is 12 people. With 32 passengers, that's 20 people over its limit. It is not immediately known who owns the boat, which is listed for sale at $4.7 million.
The yacht has a top speed of more than 7fix0 mph, with two V12 inboard 2,000-horsepower engines, according to the listing.
FWC spokeswoman Ashlee Sklute said the cause of the sinking is under investigation.

The Lamborghini is a limited edition yacht made in collaboration between Italian boat maker Tecnomar Yachts and Italian sports car manufacturer Lamborghini, according to Tecnomar's website.
Yacht broker Oscar Diaz told the Miami Herald he was a few yards away from the sinking yacht when he heard a distress call over the radio.
'Over the radio, a captain called out, 'MAY DAY, MY BOAT IS SINKING,'' Diaz remembered.
Diaz said that he does not see yachts sink on a regular basis. In his eight years as a yacht broker, he has only seen one other similar incident.
The nonchalant attitude of the yacht's passengers was also not a surprise, Diaz said. The water he saw the yacht sink in was only 9 feet deep and there were two islands nearby that were a short swim away.
'If they were in the open ocean, they wouldn't be smiling so much,' he said.
Former Miss America participant Regan Hartley was seen holding a $350 bottle of Clase Azul Gold Tequila as the yacht's passengers were moved to safety and exclaimed that the 'baby' was safe, according to social media.

The moral of the story is to not instantly believe everything you read on the Internet. Furthermore, X's Grok was already warning on June 6 that the rumor was likely false. And Lame posted this video on TikTok on June 7: In a June 6, 2025, post, Louden alleged that Lame - who has more than 162 million followers on TikTok - was arrested by ICE in Nevada and is in custody, and he shared a supposed ICE database screenshot in the name of Serigne Khabane Lame of Senegal. The post then ricocheted around social media and was viewed hundreds of thousands of times. A community note was quickly attached to his post. "Khaby Lame is still living in Italy, and was granted citizenship there in 2022. ICE is a U.S.-based organization and cannot deport someone not living in the USA," it read. But here's the thing. When you try it yourself, you get zero results. No evidence of Khaby Lame, Khabane Lame, or Serigne Khabane Lame being in ICE custody (as the screenshot lists). Nothing. Zero results come up also when you put the supposed A-Number from the screenshot into the database. In other words, the screenshot is impossible to replicate. That's likely because Lame was allowed to voluntarily leave the country, though, per the new statement. 'Empire Challenge' hits the water in Youngstown
The New York Naval Militia and New York Guard members conducted emergency response exercises Thursday on the lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario, alongside the Coast Guard and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. On Thursday, four New York State Police divers jumped from a State Police helicopter into the lower Niagara River just off of Fort Niagara. The exercise was an alternative method of deploying divers into the water for the purpose of recovering people or evidence from the water. The two days of exercises, named 'Empire Challenge' were centered on Coast Guard Station Niagara and Fort Niagara State Park. The New York Naval Militia was also planning to conduct drone operations during the training. Unmanned aerial systems, or drones, will be launched on reconnaissance missions. 'Exercise Empire Challenge, is primarily an emergency communications event,' said Capt. Don McKnight, the commander of the Naval Militia's Military Emergency Boat Service. earlier this week. 'The exercise allows us to test new capabilities and functions alongside our many law enforcement and first responder partners,' he added. The New York Naval Militia is a 3,200- member force of Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard reservists who also volunteer to serve in the state force. The Naval Milita operates a fleet of 11 patrol boats in the Military Emergency Boat Service.
