Jenna Ortega Debuts $100,000 Aupen Himalayan Bag in Partnership With LVMH Ahead of ‘Seth Meyers' Appearance

Yahoo4 days ago
Jenna Ortega debuted the new $100,000 Aupen Repurpose Pochette in Himalayan crocodile skin bag ahead of her appearance on 'Late Night With Seth Meyers' on Monday in New York City as part of her 'Wednesday' promotional tour.
The one-of-a-kind piece is a new creation inspired by Aupen's archived Purpose silhouette, made famous by such celebrities as Hailey Bieber, Beyoncé and Selena Gomez. The Purpose was previously part of Aupen's main collection.

Unlike previous iterations, this new silhouette debuts as a Pochette, crafted under Aupen in collaboration with LVMH Métiers d'Art. Design elements include a distortion of crocodile scales and selective upcycling of certain shades and crocodile pieces, founder Nicholas Tan's way of breaking the mold both literally and metaphorically, disrupting perfection to allow space for individuality and transformation.
Founded in 2022, Aupen partnered with LVMH Métiers d'Art in July 2024. The collaboration provides Aupen with advisory and access to best-in-class French production facilities, including farms, tanneries and metal work companies, WWD's Lisa Lockwood reported.
The debut of the $100,000 Aupen Himalayan bag marks Ortega's second time carrying a piece by the luxury handbag brand, following her earlier appearance with the Nirvana bag.
Along with her standout accessory, Ortega wore a deconstructed dress courtesy of Elena Velez. The Landwalker dress featured a satin fabric with exposed corsetry detailing on the bodice, with a fitted silhouette. The look also included a thigh-high slit. Ortega collaborates with stylist Enrique Melendez.
Ortega previously wore a dress by the designer for a 'Wednesday' second season photo call in Paris, continuing her Goth-inspired style streak while promoting the Netflix series.

Cristiano Ronaldo's longtime girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez announces engagement by showing off massive ring

Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has put quite the ring on his longtime girlfriend's finger. Ronaldo, 40, and Georgina Rodriguez, who has been his girlfriend since 2017, are now engaged, as the latter shared as such on Monday. In an Instagram post, Rodriguez showed off her new, massive, oval-shaped engagement ring with a heartwarming caption in Spanish. "Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives," Rodriguez's caption read when translated to English. Rodriguez was rumored to be engaged to Ronaldo, as she's been seen with a ring on that finger. However, this is the first time she has posted wearing it. Ronaldo and Rodriguez made waves when they showed up together for the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich in January 2017. In May of that year, they made their relationship Instagram official. The couple share five children with 8-year-old twins Eva Maria and Mateo, daughters Alana, 7, and Bella, 3, and Cristiano Jr., a 15-year-old from a previous Ronaldo relationship. The couple also announced the death of Ángel, Bella's newborn twin brother, in April 2022. Given their lengthy relationship, there was always wonder about whether Ronaldo and Rodriguez would get married. During a Netflix docuseries, 'I Am Georgina,' Rodriguez discussed their future together. "They're always joking about the wedding, 'When is the wedding?'" Rodriguez said about her friends in the documentary, which was released earlier this year. "Since Jennifer Lopez's song, 'The Ring Or When,' came out, they started singing it to me. And well, this is not up to me." Ronaldo, then, chimed in. "I always tell her, when we get that click," he said, while snapping his fingers. "Like everything with our life, and I know she knows what I'm talking about. It could be in a year, or it could be in six months, or it could be in a month. I'm 1,000% sure that it'll happen." Ronaldo, the Portuguese star, currently plays for Al-Nassr, a club in the Saudi Pro League. He signed a two-year extension in June that keeps him with the club through June 2027.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Extend Netflix Deal, Unveil New Projects and Holiday Special: All the Details

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared an update on their partnership with Netflix after it was reported that their previous deal wouldn't be renewedNEED TO KNOW Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made a new announcement about their partnership with Netflix The news comes after it was reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wouldn't renew their $100 million contract with Netflix after it expires in September The couple signed the reported multi-year deal with the streamer in 2020Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's relationship with Netflix will continue. On August 11, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced with Netflix that they are extending their creative partnership through Archewell Productions with a multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects. 'We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand," Meghan said in a statement. "My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.' Bela Bajaria, Netflix's Chief Content Officer, said: 'Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. The response to their work speaks for itself — Harry & Meghan gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series. More recently, fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As ever line consistently selling out in record time. We're excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.' Meghan's brand, developed in partnership with Netflix, will continue expanding into new product categories. The Duchess of Sussex also revealed that the second season of her show will premiere later this month, with a holiday special, With Love, Meghan: holiday Celebration, set to premiere in December. "This December, join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration. Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs – with simple how-tos to follow at home. It's a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy," the release stated. Another project, Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within, was also announced, and will debut on Netflix later this year. "In the heart of Uganda's Masaka region, where the shadows of the HIV/AIDS crisis linger, a small orphanage becomes a beacon of hope. Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within goes beyond the viral videos to reveal a vibrant, one-of-a-kind community where orphaned children transform hardship into joy, dancing their way toward healing, belonging, and the promise of a brighter future," the statement continued. And despite reports to the contrary, the couple's adaptation of the bestselling novel, Meet Me at the Lake, is still in the works. "Archewell Productions is in active development on additional projects with Netflix that span a variety of content genres, including the feature adaptation of the bestselling novel by Carley Fortune, Meet Me At The Lake. This romantic drama follows a decade-spanning love story that begins with a chance encounter and a broken promise," the release stated. The update comes after it was widely reported last month that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's $100 deal with Netflix would not be renewed when it expires in September. A Hollywood insider told PEOPLE at the time that the multi-year production agreement won't be extended, reflecting a broader shift in Netflix's business strategy. The streaming service has been moving away from multi-project agreements and similarly transitioned a deal with former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama's Higher Ground production company. The couple's 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan remains Netflix's most-watched documentary debut to date. The pair also produced Live to Lead (2022), Heart of Invictus (2023) and Polo (2024). Earlier this year, the Duchess of Sussex hosted and executive produced the first season of her lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan. The solo show, filmed in their town of Montecito, California, featured Meghan hosting friends like Mindy Kaling as she shared her cooking, entertaining and lifestyle tips and tricks. Meghan launched her lifestyle brand, As ever, alongside the series, and Netflix is a partner in the brand. Can't get enough of PEOPLE's Royals coverage? to get the latest updates on Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and more! A second season of With Love, Meghan has already filmed and will feature new cameos from familiar faces, including previously announced guest stars Chrissy Teigen and José Andrés. "We love José so much," Meghan said as she revealed the upcoming appearance at the TIME100 Summit in April. "I've been fortunate to have the people that I want on the show… I've been really lucky. We have a great, great lineup." Read the original article on People Solve the daily Crossword

Where is Amanda Knox now, as Disney Plus releases gripping true-crime drama about her fight for justice

It's a court case that dominated headlines at the time; the murder of British exchange student Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy with the courts initially finding her housemate Amanda Knox and her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito guilty of the heinous crime. Knox, who was just 20-years-old when facing a hefty 26 year jail sentence when she was wrongly convicted of murder in Italian court, immediately became catnip to salacious tabloid titles who thirstily followed the case and sensationalised any updates. She was branded as 'Foxy Knoxy', with Knox herself revealing she felt as if she was portrayed as a "dirty, psychopathic, man-eater" in the press. She spent years fighting for her freedom - and was acquitted in 2011 after an appeal, in which she immediately flew back to the US. While Knox was reconvicted in 2014 following a retrial, the Italian supreme court permanently exonerated her and Sollecito in 2015 - meaning her ordeal was finally over. After a brief hiatus from public life, Knox returned to the spotlight in 2016 to recount her fight for justice in the Netflix documentary Amanda Knox. Now, Knox's story will be retold in the hotly-anticipated Disney Plus drama The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, with the eight-part series allowing Knox to reclaim the narrative that was stolen from her. Nine Perfect Strangers star Grace Van Patten plays Knox, with the real Knox also serving as executive producer. Here, Cosmopolitan UK explores where Knox is now, and what she has accomplished now she has dedicated her life to miscarriages of justice. After finishing her undergraduate degree in creative writing at the University of Washington, Knox wrote a memoir about her fight for justice in 2013 titled Waiting to Be Heard, which became an instant bestseller. Knox released her second book, Free, in 2025, which details her 'quest for meaning'. Knox got engaged to Seattle-based author Christopher Robinson on November 21, 2018. The pair met at a book launch and officially started dating in late 2015. Apparently, Robinson barely knew who Knox was when they met. 'I was probably the only person at the party who didn't really know who she was,' he told People in 2017. 'I knew [about] Italy and some legal stuff and something that shouldn't have happened. But I didn't really know her story.' Meanwhile, Knox told People, 'I don't want to get married for the sake of getting married. My hope is that I have a partner with whom I can continue to take on the I very much love Chris and feel like he is my partner. And he would be a wonderful dad and we talk about it all the time.' After all the marriage talk, Knox and Robinson tied the knot literally a week after they got engaged. Their marriage certificate, which surfaced on the internet, revealed that they applied for the certificate in Kings County, Washington, on 1 December, 2018. This prompted Knox and Robinson to release a joint statement on their sci-fi-themed wedding website. 'We filed paperwork to be legally married in December of last year to simplify our taxes and insurance. But we have not yet celebrated our wedding with our loved ones,' the press release read. 'This is, frankly, no one's business but our own and should be no more shocking than the fact that we've been living together for years.' Knox and Robinson welcomed their daughter, Eureka Muse Knox-Robinson, in 2021 and their son, Echo Knox-Robinson, in September 2023. The family now lives in Seattle. Knox spends her time raising awareness about wrongful conviction in the judicial system, and she has returned to Italy on multiple occasions. In 2019, she headed back to Europe as the keynote speaker at a criminal justice conference hosted by the Italy Innocence Project. In 2023, she went back to Perugia to meet with the prosecutor in her initial court proceedings, Dr. Giuliano Mignini. Speaking to People magazine in 2025, Knox said of the meeting: "Forgiveness is a natural consequence of realising how fragile and precious another human is. I immediately sort of stepped into mom mode, and I was like, 'I'm not just forgiving you. I'm holding you. I care about you.' And that changed everything." In 2019, Knox hosted the podcast titled The Truth About True Crime, where—as she puts it—'we attempt to rehumanise others who have been singled out as true-crime fodder and elevate the standard for how we think and talk about those whose lives are thrust into the judicial and media spotlight.' She's also had her own series on Facebook Watch. In 2018, Knox hosted The Scarlet Letter Reports, which gave high-profile women who had faced the wrath of public judgement a chance to tell their side of the story.
