On Set Of Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar In Leh, Over 120 People Fall Ill Due To Food Poisoning

Leh (Ladakh): Around 120 crew members working on the sets of Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar in Leh district, Ladakh, were hospitalised after reportedly suffering from food poisoning. The incident took place on Sunday, August 17, 2025, when the crew members were rushed to SNM Hospital in Leh. "Our doctors were called in for the emergency as the patient rush was very high. By the end of the day, we had about 120 admissions. The situation was handled well, and all of them have been treated," the medical superintendent at the SNM Hospital told ANI. She also revealed that while most of the patients are in a stable condition and have been discharged, five remain under observation. The official confirmed that there were no casualties. "Some came with severe dehydration, while others had pain in the abdomen, vomiting, acute gastroenteritis, and headache. We received much help from the district administration, and we managed to transfer a few patients to manage the treatment and for crowd management," she added. The medical official went on to confirm that the patients were a part of the team that arrived for the shooting of a Bollywood film. "This happened on the film's sets. They apparently had the food arranged on the sets and developed diarrhoea and vomiting. Food samples have been sent for examination, and the final reports are pending," she said. One of the patient's family members also spoke to ANI and revealed that his sister, along with his brother's children and sister-in-law, were present during the incident. "We received a lot of help at the hospital, and the doctors and nurses supported us throughout. There were more than 100 people over here," he said. As per an India Today report, director Aditya Dhar is personally looking into the situation and arranging for the best medical resources. While the situation at the hospital seems to be under control, the makers are yet to make an official statement on the same.

Before becoming Aryan Khan's leading lady in The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Sahher Bambba debuted with Sunny Deol's son

Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan's debut is undoubtedly one of the most awaited releases this year. Unlike SRK's daughter Suhana Khan and many other star kids, Aryan does not have dreams to be an actor. Instead, he's making his directorial debut with the upcoming web series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Just last weekend, Aryan shared an announcement video, sharing that the preview of his show will release on Wednesday. Apart from his impressive aura and uncanny resemblance to King Khan, what stole our attention was a glimpse of Aryan's lead actors — Lakshya and Sahher Bambba. As most of us remember, Lakshya emerged as an overnight sensation after Kill (2023). Today, let's get to know his leading lady better today. Meet Sahher Bambba, the leading lady of Aryan Khan's The Ba***ds of Bollywood Lakshya was originally supposed to make his Bollywood debut with Dostana 2 alongside Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor, but the film was shelved. His next film Bedhadak, with Shanaya Kapoor, was also shelved. In 2023, he finally made a debut with Kill, leaving a lasting impact on audiences with his performance. Sahher Bambba, on the other hand, began her journey as an actor with Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas (2019) opposite Sunny Deol's son Karan Deol. Before starting her acting career, Sahher was the winner of Times Fresh Face 2016. While Sahher originally hails from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, she shifted to Mumbai for further studies. Apart from acting, she is passionate about dancing and is trained in Bharatnatyam, belly dancing and Latin ballroom dancing. After her debut with Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, which was a box office bomb, Sahher appeared in web series such as The Empire and Dil Bekaraar. Both shows released back in 2021. Well, fans are now eagerly looking forward to witness the magic of Aryan Khan, with Sahher and Lakshya as his lead stars. Apart from Sahher and Lakshya, Aryan's show The Ba***ds of Bollywood also stars Kill actor Raghav Juyal, Bobby Deol and Mona Singh.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra recalls Vidya Balan giving him gaalis during Parineeta auditions: ‘Who does he think he is?'

Vidya Balan made a remarkable debut in Hindi cinema with Parineeta, an adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's 1914 Bengali novella of the same name. Directed by the late Pradeep Sarkar and produced by veteran filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the movie marked the beginning of Vidya's Bollywood journey. As Parineeta completed two decades, the cast and crew came together for a special screening to commemorate the milestone. Speaking at the event, Vidhu opened up about how Vidya was cast in the film. He recalled the rigorous audition process she underwent, which left her visibly frustrated. Vidhu Vinod Chopra said, 'A lot of top heroines wanted to do Parineeta. But Pradeep Sarkar said there's a new girl from Chembur. So I said, 'Test this girl from Chembur.' I don't usually meet actors during screen tests. Vidya had gone through a lot of tests. Then I told Pradeep, 'Let's do one final test.' Before the test, she abused me, I could see her saying, 'Who does he think he is?' By then, she had done 20–25 tests. But then she gave such a brilliant final test, it was unbelievable. I told Pradeep, call her immediately.' Vidya Balan, who was also present at the event, recalled the exact moment she found out she had landed the role, in the middle of an Enrique Iglesias concert. 'I was at the Enrique concert and I was with Mr. Chopra's assistant. So Dada (Pradeep Sarkar) called him, and I told him, 'Dada, I'm in the middle of the concert, I'll call you back.' But he said, 'No, Mr. Chopra wants to speak to you.' So I said, 'Yeah, I'll call you after the concert.' So then Mr. Chopra said, 'Teri zindagi badalne waali hai, bahar nikal (Your life is about to change, come outside).' I was like, 'What are you going to tell me, that I didn't get the part again?' I didn't think otherwise for a second, because I had gone through so many tests. But he said, 'Come out.' So I came out and he told me on the phone, 'You're my Parineeta.' And I started crying right there. It was a crazy moment.' Also Read | Rekha says she 'found a daughter in Vidya Balan', Parineeta was the first film she ever auditioned for: 'Vidhu Vinod Chopra said you are out if you don't audition' Also in attendance at the event was Dia Mirza, who played an important role in Parineeta. She reflected on how Parineeta marked a turning point in her own career: 'Parineeta was a remarkable experience because up until then I never felt respected as an artiste. And it was actually my first working experience where I felt respected. It's a very rich experience because I think what Dada did, of course, he was a meticulous planner and he had an extraordinary vision, and he would rehearse us to death, but his love for every character, his love for the story, his attention to detail made the experience so rich and so wonderful. And you know, Vidhu Vinod Chopra is the only producer I have worked with who has given me a bonus, not once, but twice. I always say that in an industry that really struggles to give women their place of respect, it is just so incredible to work with two men who gave us nothing but that, every step of the way. And I'm so grateful that 20 years later, I'm getting this opportunity to share this with all of you. And that bonus came to every crew member.' While Vidya Balan has often expressed gratitude to Vidhu Vinod Chopra for launching her, she also recently spoke about the challenges she faced in the early days, including being asked to consider cosmetic surgery. In a past interview, she revealed that Vidhu had once suggested she undergo plastic surgery for her nose. She eventually turned to director Pradeep Sarkar for support during that time.
