UK pop star Jessie J reveals breast cancer diagnosis
British pop star Jessie J has revealed an early-stage breast cancer diagnosis in a candid video on social media.
The 37-year-old Price Tag singer, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, said she was holding on to the word 'early'.
'I just wanted to be open and share it,' the UK singer said on her Instagram post.
'One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I'm an open book.
'It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse – that's the bit that kills me.'
The singer said it was 'a weird situation' but disclosed she would be having surgery soon after the Summertime Ball (a musical festival in London) on June 15.
'It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job,' she joked.
'I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive tits and more music.'

Nia Sanchez and Daniel Booko welcome fourth child
Nia Sanchez and her husband Daniel Booko have become parents for the fourth time. The Valley stars have welcomed a daughter named Adelaide Nicole - who joins elder siblings Asher, three, and one-year-old twins Isabelle and Zariah - and the couple shared the first picture of their little girl in a post on social media in which they declared they are "absolutely in love" with the new arrival. In a message posted on Instagram. they wrote: "Sweet little memories from Adelaide's first moments of life. We are absolutely in love! Birth story coming soon." The pair told Us Weekly they gave their daughter the middle name Nicole to honour Nia's mother, who shares the same name, because she's been such a huge help raising their family. Nia also revealed Adelaide's birth was much more "intimate" than her previous experiences in the delivery room. She told the publication: "The first moments with baby no. four felt so sweet and intimate. "In our previous birth experiences, we've had a lot more people in the room. And we've always had a doula. This time, it was just us with our doctor and two nurses. This birth was extra special because Danny was able to deliver the baby." The family recently moved into a new home in Santa Clarita, California and they are were unpacking at the time Adelaide arrived. Nia said: "We moved in about two and a half weeks before baby no. four arrived. We still have boxes everywhere and are not quite settled. But it feels great to have so much more space and a beautiful backyard for our children to play in." Nia went on to reveal she now feels as if their family is complete and they probably won't be having any more children. She explained: "This pregnancy definitely felt like a full circle moment for us. We had always talked about either wanting two children or four. 'When we skipped the line to three kids [after having twins], we began discussing no. four shortly after. We both come from families of four, so having four little ones of our own feels very full circle ... "I am really looking forward to watching all of my children grow up and be so close. We love creating special memories with our children and are excited to now do that as a family of six."

The party guests' outfits also weren't as 'out there' as one might expect from a celebrity's milestone with Sivan opting for a striped white long-sleeve shirt and pants and Charli wearing a simple white, strapless top, sweatpants and black heels. Sivan's wholesome dinner party proved famous faces don't have to go to the ends of the earth to pull off an excessive celebration.

'Sir David and Lady Posh': Beckham to finally be awarded knighthood by King Charles after monarchy denied him honour for more than a decade
David Beckham will finally be awarded a knighthood by King Charles after the monarchy denied him the honour for more than a decade. The former British football star, 50, is set to be knighted on the King's Birthday Honours list next week, the Sun reported on Thursday. Beckham will become known as Sir David Beckham, while his wife, former Posh Spice Victoria Beckham, will be referred to as Lady Beckham. The star is understood to be one of about 1000 Britons who received honours in the King's Birthday list this year. Charles sends letters inviting recipients to accept the award weeks in advance, and Beckham dropped a major hint he received his last month. The clue came as the tattoed sportsman was seen chatting with Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, at the Chelsea Flower Show in London. "Your Majesty, it's so nice to see you," Beckham, who has struck up a friendship with the King over their shared horticulture passion, said. After warmly shaking Beckham's hand, the King asked the star, who celebrated his 50th in May, if he received his gift. "You got it, didn't you?" the King asked. Beckham beamed as he replied: "It was incredible. Thank you, it was very kind." The telling exchange sparked speculation Charles' mystery gift to Beckham was his sought-after honours letter. Beckham has reportedly been angling for a knighthood from the King this year after previously being snubbed during Queen Elizabeth II's reign. However, he once again failed to make it on Charles's New Year Honours list in January. While the ex-England captain missed out, his showbiz colleague Stephen Fry and old football pal Gareth Southgate were awarded. In 2017, leaked emails revealed Beckham's seething disappointment at being continually snubbed for a knighthood. In the emails, which were sent to a member of Beckham's then-publicity team, the sports star hit out at the honours committee and called them "unappreciative c***s" for refusing to grant him the knighthood. 'I expected nothing less (than a knighthood),' Beckham wrote. 'It's a disgrace, to be honest, and if I was American, I would have (sic) got something like this 10 years ago." The star's repeated failure to be knighted came despite him having been previously awarded an OBE by Elizabeth II in 2003. However, it was Beckahm's finances abroad and alleged tax avoidance that reportedly hindered his chances of securing the honour. That and the star's purchase of a seven-bedroom home in London's Holland Park for $40 million and the Beckhams' spendthrift lifestyle reportedly led the Honours Committee to deny him a knighthood. In 2024, rumours the father-of-four was once again trying to woo the honours committee went into overdrive after he announced two new charitable endeavours with the royal family. Beckham became an ambassador for The King's Foundation in June, and the following October, he assisted Prince William in raising funds for the London Air Ambulance. Over the last 18 months, Beckham's friendship with Charles has blossomed, and the sports star gifted the monarch a pot of his homemade honey at the British Fashion Council awards in May 2023. The celebrity was even said to have cut ties with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to strategically help him receive knighthood. 'The Beckhams have decided this brand is just too toxic for them and they might align themselves with the royal family,' royal reporter Sarah Hewson told TalkTV in 2023. 'Because ultimately, you can't be on both sides in this trans-Atlantic spa.'
