2 people injured in 2-vehicle crash in Ottawa's east end

A man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Ottawa's east end.
Emergency crews responded to a collision involving a car and a water truck at the intersection of Mitch Owens Road and Boundary Road at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday.
An Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson says a man in the car suffered critical injuries and was transported to hospital in critical condition.
A woman in the car suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The Ottawa Police Service is investigating the crash.
Boundary Road is closed in both directions between Thunder and Devine roads, while the eastbound lanes of Mitch Owens Road are closed between Boundary and Blackcreek roads.

New Glasgow Regional Police responded to the two-vehicle crash at 12:05 p.m. Police say the crash involved a Subaru Outback car and a Kawasaki motor bike at the intersection of Marsh Street and Washington Street. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the Aberdeen Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. New Glasgow police are continuing to investigate the crash. 17-year-old charged in shooting death of boy, 13, in Pimicikamak Cree Nation

A 17-year-old is charged with manslaughter after a 13-year-old boy was shot and killed on Saturday in northern Manitoba. The older teen was arrested shortly after the shooting in Pimicikamak Cree Nation. He was charged with manslaughter on Sunday, Cross Lake RCMP said in a news release on Monday morning. Officers were called to a home in the community, about 530 kilometres north of Winnipeg, around 5:40 p.m. Saturday, police said in a news release early Sunday afternoon. They were told the 13-year-old had been shot and driven to the nursing station, where he was pronounced dead. The 17-year-old was at the home and was taken into custody, police said. The investigation continues but no additional suspects are being sought, RCMP said. No additional information has been released about the incident.
