Perry appeared visibly shaken during the startling encounter, and she quickly grabbed her guitar and spun away from the stage crasher immediately after he put his arm around her shoulders.
'Well, there's never going to be another show like it, so just enjoy it, Sydney,' Perry said into the microphone as the dancing fan was grabbed by security, per a video of the incident shared to X.
'What the hell is going on?!' the 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' singer then shouted as the interloper was finally escorted off the stage.
Although Perry kept her cool during the incident and continued her performance without a hitch, fans of the pop star rushed to social media to express their shock regarding the 'very dangerous' incident.
'A very dangerous moment,' one person tweeted. 'Security to be fired, especially the one who was supposed to guard the entrance to the stage. Katy's bodyguard was the first. This could have ended really badly!'
'Why did he think that would be a good idea to assault an artist like that?' commented another fan. 'Katy Perry took it in a professional way, thank god she is ok.'

'Katy handled that like a pro – chaos on stage, and she still kept it cool,' added a third. 'Iconic energy. Now that's how you own the moment.'
However, other viewers claimed that the incident was 'staged.'
'Staged,' one skeptical person tweeted. 'So she can go viral.'

'Honestly, this looks staged,' added a second person. 'And I hope it is because if it's real, that's seriously worrying.'
The Post has reached out to Perry's rep for comment.
Meanwhile, that wouldn't be the first time that the 'Firework' hitmaker suffered a startling mishap mid-concert.
On May 17, during a show in Las Vegas, Perry's bejeweled bra almost popped completely off during her performance of 'Part of Me.'

'Oh s–t,' Perry said into the microphone during the wardrobe malfunction, 'my bra is gonna come off.'
'Put my bra back on, Patrick,' she joked after calling over one of her assistants. 'Sorry, guys, you didn't pay that much.'
Shortly before her wardrobe malfunction, the 'I Kissed a Girl' songstress 'scolded' a fan for messaging her husband, Orlando Bloom.

'I know why you're here,' she began. 'Listen, if you keep DM-ing my man… you've been doing it for months, ever since the residency. You didn't come to see me play.'
'If you keep on DM-ing my man, I'm gonna have you removed,' Perry continued. 'Seriously, get your own life. I'm his wife. I don't want it. I'm his.'
'He don't want you, Kyle. I'm his wife,' she added. 'I'm his, he's mine… stay the f–k away!'
It was later revealed that Perry's shocking remarks were scripted and part of the transition into her next song, the 2024 single 'I'm His, He's Mine.'

Katy Perry Faces A Surprise Onstage — And Her Priceless Response Says It All

In 2011, Katy Perry was 'stunned' by an extraterrestrial — and now, 14 years later, she faced a different kind of invader. Perry, currently on her Lifetimes Tour, was performing her 2008 hit 'Hot N Cold' at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, when a rogue fan approached her onstage. In a fan-captured video posted on X Monday, Perry appears visibly startled and uneasy as the fan runs toward her. The singer — who once kissed a girl and liked it — appeared to not enjoy this particular encounter. As the fan jumps next to her, Perry recoils slightly, visibly spooked. His 15 seconds of fame are swiftly cut short as security rushes the stage and escorts him off. Perry then turns to the crowd to lighten the mood. 'Well, there's never going to be another show like it, so just enjoy it, Sydney,' she joked. To further defuse the moment, she playfully asked the crowd, 'What the hell is going on?' Back in April, during her tour's opening stop in Mexico City, Perry had another memorable onstage moment — though that one didn't require an intruder. There, she reflected on her April 14 trip to space on an all-female Blue Origin space tourism flight. 'Has anyone ever called your dreams crazy?' she asked the crowd. Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom Reportedly Worked Through 'Tension' After Her Latest Career Setbacks

While Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have appeared to be nothing but in love in the past few months, new sources are claiming there might be trouble in paradise. According to sources for People, Perry, who released her new album 143 in 2024 and began her 'Lifetimes' world tour a few months ago in April 2025, has been frustrated with the reception to her musical comeback, and it's been starting to affect their relationship. More from SheKnows Glen Powell's Ex Revealed What Really Happened in His PR Relationship With Sydney Sweeney 'Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album. It made her very stressed,' the source said. 'Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.' A second source reiterated those feelings. 'She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews,' the source said. 'It's put stress on their relationship.' As a reminder, Perry and Bloom have been together on and off since 2016. They got engaged three years later in 2019 and welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove, in August 2020. Prior to these sources, other insiders told the Daily Mail in October that Perry had been looking to Bloom for some good PR amid the backlash. 'She has tried to sell it with her sexuality and use Orlando to help promote it with jokes about their sex life,' the source said. In her episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, for example, the 'Teenage Dream' singer got surprisingly candid about their sex life. 'If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you've done it all, and you've done all the dishes, and you've closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to get your d– sucked,' Perry said, per The New York Post. 'That is my love language!' Katy Perry's 'Stress' Over Album and Tour Reportedly Caused 'Tension' with Orlando Bloom: Sources (Exclusive)

Katy Perry has been frustrated amid her 143 album release The singer was "very stressed" over the reception her new music received, a source says, which caused "some tension" in her relationship with fiancé Orlando Bloom "Orlando was understanding," a second source tells PEOPLEKaty Perry and Orlando Bloom's relationship experienced strain amid the singer's latest endeavor. An insider tells PEOPLE, "Katy was deeply frustrated following the lackluster [reception] of her new album," 143, which came out in September. "It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension." A second source adds, "This was supposed to be Katy's big comeback. She was excited. It's been devastating to watch it fall flat. She's disappointed in the tour reviews. Ticket sales are fine, but nowhere near sold out. It's put stress on their relationship." Reps for Perry and Bloom did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. Perry's vision for her latest album was creating "a bold, exuberant, celebratory dance-pop album with the symbolic 143 numerical expression of love as a throughline message," she said in a statement at the time. The album title 143 refers to the retro shorthand of "I love you" via pager communication. The "Teenage Dream" singer spoke to PEOPLE in February about the negative criticism she received for 143. "You shouldn't read it when it's good. You shouldn't read it when it's bad," she said. Perry, 40, added, "My therapist said something that really changed my life. What anybody thinks about you is none of your business. It's what you think about yourself." She also said she created the album from "a real shift in my life when I became a mother, and I really tapped into that feminine divine energy. The messages on it are celebratory. They're about love." Perry previously experienced situational depression following the criticism stemming from her 2018 album Witness. 'I have had bouts of situational depression, and my heart was broken last year because, unknowingly, I put so much validity in the reaction of the public, and the public didn't react in the way I had expected to … which broke my heart," she said in a February 2018 interview with Vogue Australia. In conjunction with her new album, Perry set off on her Lifetimes Tour in April, less than a month after participating in Jeff Bezos' all-female Blue Origin flight, which received criticism over its cost and its alleged impact on the environment. Perry seemingly addressed the criticism during the opening night of the Lifetimes Tour, asking the crowd in Mexico City: "Has anyone ever called your dreams crazy?" Up next on Perry's tour are shows in Australia through June. Perry then heads to North America making stops throughout the U.S. and Canada through August before heading to South America and Europe. Among the U.S. cities the "E.T." singer will stop in are Denver, San Francisco, Newark, Baltimore, Atlanta, Nashville and Miami. Perry and Bloom, 48, have been together for almost a decade. They got engaged in February 2019 and welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020. Most recently, Bloom and Daisy were both present for the Blue Origin flight.
