Vernon Kay has shared what he believes Oasis fans need to know if they're seeing the duo in concert this summer. The 51-year-old was amongst the 62,000 fans who welcomed Noel and Liam Gallagher back to the stage, at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday.
Catching up with his BBC Radio 2 colleague Zoe Ball after the gig, Vernon reassured fans that all was good with Liam's voice, following recent concerns.

Last month, the singer was inundated with messages after he told his followers he was taking throat lozenges, sour sweets, and cough mixture.

Setting the record straight about Liam's vocals at the gig, Vernon said they were just as good as they were during the band's heyday.
"To be honest with you, three or four songs in, and I'm going to say this, nobody is going to be disappointed," he shared.
"Nobody is going to be upset because, 'Oh, Liam's not sounding great', Liam Gallagher last night sounded absolutely brilliant.

"Superb! He was excellent, it was like the Liam of 96, he was so good. He didn't shout, he sang the lyrics and his voice was magnificent."
Concluding his rave review, Vernon added: "It was the Liam Gallagher that we know, we love, we admire, and we'd like a night out with.

"I believe that Liam has been looking after his voice because he wants everyone to have a really good time, and with all the hoo-ha about the tickets, it was worth every single penny and yes I did pay for my ticket."
Vernon also shared his experience of the concert on Instagram, where he enjoyed the evening with his family.
In one of his updates, he admitted that "tears were shed" during the show.

He further described the reunion as "one of the best gigs" he's ever attended, and reiterated his praise for Liam's vocal performance.

Additionally, he praised Noel for his exceptional guitar skills and noted that the brothers were "note perfect" throughout the performance.

Meanwhile, Liam took a moment during the concert to show appreciation for the fans' enduring support, following their famous fallout.
"Thank you, beautiful people. This is it. Nice one for putting up with us over the years. We are hard work, we get it," he shared.
Briefly commenting on the controversy surrounding tickets prices for their gig, he also joked: "Are you having a good time? Is it worth the £40,000 you paid for a ticket?".

Oasis are expected to rake in a staggering £400 million from their comeback, which includes earnings from ticket sales, merchandise, endorsements, and other revenue streams.

Noel Gallagher discloses true reason for Oasis reunion during night two of emotional Cardiff gig

Oasis' Noel Gallagher has revealed who was behind him finally ending his bitter feud with brother Liam Gallagher. The Gallagher brothers have spilled the beans on the true catalyst for Oasis' much-anticipated reunion. At their second gig at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, Noel Gallagher opened up about settling his infamous row with sibling Liam Gallagher. Oasis fever has once again gripped the nation, yet not so long ago, the prospect of witnessing Noel and Liam together on stage seemed a distant dream after a heated dispute in 2009. ‌ Last year's shock announcement that they would be reuniting arrived a whole 15 years since Noel left the Mancunian ensemble, citing he "simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer". ‌ This followed an altercation backstage at Paris's Rock en Seine festival. But while performing on Saturday, July 5, Noel appeared visibly moved as he reunited under the lights with his brother. On the encore of their second evening, Noel paused to pay homage to Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, announcing: "On guitar, if it wasn't for him, none of this would have happened!" Striding onto the stage with typical confidence, Noel and Liam greeted fans at Cardiff's Principality Stadium last Friday, embarking on the first leg of their highly anticipated global revival tour, reports the Mirror. With no sign of the animosity that marked their split back in 2009, the brothers dived into their playlist starting strong with 'Hello' from their seminal album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? At their much-awaited reunion gig, the lead vocalist extended apologies to fans for the long hiatus. Speaking multiple times during their set, Liam addressed the crowd with: "Hello people, it's been too long," ahead of their nail their third song, (What's the Story). ‌ As they prepped to belt out Cigarettes And Alcohol, Liam urged the audience to share a moment of unity, suggesting fans hug someone new. His call to action was: "Right then beautiful people, I want to see you all turn around and put your arms round each other. And when the tune starts, jump up and f****** down." ‌ Both bandmates didn't miss the chance to jest about the contentious dynamic pricing debacle that had previously left fans in annoyance as ticket prices seemingly spiked from £148 to £355. This furor prompted government intervention and a commitment from the UK's competition authorities to scrutinise the use of dynamic pricing strategies. Following Roll With It, as Liam made an exit from stage, Noel stepped into the vocalist role. He humorously commented on what he believed the concert's price tag should be, quipping: "It's just gone up." ‌ Later on, Liam chimed in with a satirical remark about the cost of attendance, asking the fans: "Was it worth the £40,000 you paid for a ticket?" Towards the climax of Live Forever, an image of Diogo Jota, the Liverpool footballer who tragically passed away in a car crash last Thursday, was projected, prompting a heartfelt round of cheers and applause from the audience. As they launched into the crowd-pleaser Champagne Supernova for their final performance of the night, the lead singer addressed the audience saying: "Right you beautiful people, this is it. Nice one for putting up with us over the years, we know we've been difficult. Champagne Supernova, nice one." ‌ The Gallagher brothers maintained a professional distance on stage throughout the concert, but allowed themselves a fleeting moment of connection with a quick high-five and a half-embrace post their last song. Support acts for Oasis included the fellow quintessential 90s ensemble Cast and Richard Ashcroft, once the face of The Verve. Cast, hialing from Liverpool, gave a nod to Jota, too, dedicating their smash Walkaway in his honour. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Liam and Noel Gallagher put on two unforgettable performances at the Principality Stadium on Friday and Saturday which have earned huge plaudits from fans and critics alike, with worldwide publications giving the concert five stars. Away from the stadium itself, you couldn't walk through the streets without reminders of the gigs themselves, with wall murals, traders selling bucket hats and tambourines, pubs blasting out the greatest hits, and even an official store at St David's Shopping Centre. And at the Tramshed, there was a special fan exhibition of some of the most iconic items and memorabilia that have defined the history of Oasis. Among them was Noel's famous Union Jack epiphone sheraton electric guitar, which became a symbol of British music in the mid 1990s. It became particularly iconic after Noel played it at Oasis's gigs at Maine Road in 1996. Liam's iconic Emporio Armani jacket worn in the 1995 Wonderwall video was there, as was his sheepskin coat worn at the 1996 Brit awards. It featured in the videos of Don't Look Back in Anger, Champagne Supernova and Roll With It. The original, handwritten lyrics were also on display in a glass cabinet from some of Oasis's greatest songs, including Don't Look Back In Anger, Stand By Me, and Champagne Supernova. Some of Liam's famous tambourines were on display in framed cases, as were band itineraries and programmes from previous tours. Oasis next head home to Heaton Park in Manchester, where they will play five gigs from Friday, July 11. The exhibition will be set up there, and at the other locations of their gigs. Noel and Liam Gallagher made their epic return to live performing together this weekend in scenes been described as 'biblical' by devoted fans. But one clip shared by fan Laura Bradshaw showed a host of people blankly staring ahead and sitting down as the duo sang their hit Cast No Shadow on Saturday night. As she scanned the crowd many appeared to be taking the opportunity of a slower song to have a rest and sit down. Other disagreed as the replied in the comments: 'Because they're original fans and our backs are shot to pieces.', 'I would be seating too - appreciating and taking it all in. Standing and jumping about isn't the only way to enjoy it.', 'What are they meant to do, it's difficult to dance to Cast no shadow.', 'Because standing up at a gig has no bearing on my of how much of a fan you are?' It comes after another Oasis fan went viral after she was spotted having to use app Shazam to identify 'one of the greatest songs of all time' during the band's opening gig in Cardiff on Friday. More than 75,000 fans watched history be made as Noel, 58, and Liam, 52, appeared for the first time on stage together in 16 years at at the Principality Stadium She penned over the top of her video: 'Why is everyone sat down - this is who you lost tickets to btw', along with a crying face emoji She divided fans in the comments as some agreed with her, saying: 'why is no one singing!' Other disagreed as the replied in the comments: 'Because they're original fans and our backs are shot to pieces!' But when Richard Ashcroft, 53, opening for the once warring brother's and sang his iconic hit 1997 Bitter Sweet Symphony, one woman in the crowd appeared have never heard of it. In a clip shared to TikTok as former The Verve frontman performed the track and thousands sang along, the concertgoer turned to her phone in order to identify the tune which Rolling Stone named as one of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Captioning the clip: 'Imagine not knowing the greatest song of all time' others rushed to the comments to slam the woman who they did not believe truly deserved the much sought after ticket. They fumed: 'Seriously! I couldn't get a ticket because of these people': 'This is the people who got our tickets': 'this is who i lost my tickets too': 'And there's real fans from the 90's that couldn't get tickets': 'If you don't know bittersweet symphony we can't be friends': 'nah there's no way i lost tickets to someone shazaming one of the most popular songs of the britpop era'. Kicking off the show, Liam and Noel walked out with their arms around each other in a sweet display of unity, before they proudly gazed on at the crowds, who erupted into rounds of deafening applause. As the masses gathered on Friday, Liam said: 'Manchester vibes in the area,' before he kicked off the show with Hello, which served as the opening track for their 1995 classic 'What's The Story (Morning Glory). They then went into Acquiesce - a song from their first 1995 album, which was followed by the iconic Morning Glory - the titular song of the second studio album. Liam shouted out: 'Yes beautiful people! It's been too long.' He then ordered the crowd to 'turn around and bounce' ahead of Cigarettes and Alcohol. After performing Some Might Say, Bring It On Down and Fade Away, Liam went off for a rest, while Noel performed his acoustic version of Talk Tonight. Then Noel appeared emotional as he performed Half The World Away and even stopped singing for a few bars at one point. Liam later said: 'Are you having a good time?' before addressing the ticket chaos: 'Was it worth the £4,000 you paid for the ticket.' Tickets were meant to start at £74.25 for seated tickets at their Wembley shows, with the most expensive ticket being a £506.25 pre-show party. Throughout their various sets, poignant pictures of the family's home in Manchester flashed up on the screen along with baby pictures of both brothers. Old black and white pictures of their mum Peggy and dad Tommy were also flashed in the screen from time to time as Stand By Me played. The brothers ended the show with Rock 'N' Roll Star, but fans cheers for an encore, with the pair strolling back out, with two of their fan favourite hits still to come. The crowds went wild as they belted out Wonderwall and the brothers became very emotional as they began to close down the show. 'Thanks for putting up with us over the years. We're hard work. We get it,' Liam gushed. They then rounded off their first gig in 16 years with legendary track Champagne Supernova.
