The highly coveted title generated hundreds of entries and support from Michelle Keegan last year.
Crisp fanatics were sent into a frenzy last year when Aldi announced their "dream job". Now the role is coming back, and it's open for applications.

The budget supermarket giant is officially on the hunt for a new Crisp Taster 2025, the same title that generated tons of applications and even interest from actress Michelle Keegan.

Sharing her enthusiastic thoughts on Instagram, the beloved Brassic and Fool Me Once actress pleaded: "IS THIS TRUE @aldiuk because I am READY and available with lots of experience."

Why is it so popular? Well the lucky winner gets sent out samples of the supermarket's crisps completely free of charge for them to try out, all from the comforts of their own home.
This can include everything from the discounter's Specially Selected Lightly Sea Salted Hand Cooked Crisps, Specially Selected Mature Cheddar & Red Onion Hand Cooked Crisps, the Snackrite Delta Strips and Snackrite Cheese Flavour Cheezios.
All Aldi asks for in return is a helpful review that will provide feedback on the crisps' taste, crunch, texture and appearance to help guide its Buying Team on potential future flavours.
Eager applicants for 2025 need to simply send an email to crisptaster@aldi.co.uk with a few personal details including their full name, location and social media handles.
Applicants will also need to send a short video, no longer than one minute, explaining why they should get the role, alongside their favourite Aldi crisps and snacking opinions that will make them stand out.

However, they don't have long, as the supermarket's search is only open until Thursday, August 21, with the lucky winner being contacted before August 28.

The UK's fourth largest supermarket first launched the coveted Crisp Taster role in 2024, being so popular that it generated hundreds of entries from crisp lovers all across the country.

Nabbing the title last year was 39 year-old NHS worker George Critchley, becoming the supermarket's first ever crisp taster after he wowed judges with his love for crisps that meant his wedding tables were named after varieties like Wotsits and Discos.
He said: "Being Aldi's Crisp Taster was an utter delight – I got to sample new flavours before anyone else and directly influence what hits the shelves.
"It wasn't just fun, it was a genuine opportunity to shape the future of snacks for a whole nation. If you're a true crisp connoisseur, this is a role you don't want to miss."

Julie Ashfield, Chief Commerical Officer at Aldi UK, said: 'After the success of last year with hundreds of entries, we welcome our shoppers feedback once again to make sure our latest products provide the quality, taste and price they deserve.
"Our range of crisps are going down a treat this year, so launching the role for a new Crisp Taster is the perfect way to encourage innovative ideas and delicious products onto shelves."
News of the role's return comes just after it was announced that Aldi would be providing 23 locations with upgrades to enhance the shopping experience, with three in Scotland - Cupar, North Berwick and Livingston.

Ashley Banjo breaks silence after shock link to Bonnie Blue documentary

Ashley Banjo has spoken out after fans spotted him in shock scenes from Bonnie Blue's Channel 4 documentary 1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story. Diversity frontman Ashley Banjo has spoken out after fans were left stunned to see him appear in Channel 4's controversial new documentary about porn star Bonnie Blue. ‌ The show - 1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story - charted the rise of the adult performer, who has made a fortune from explicit content, reports the Mirror. ‌ Viewers were shocked when a photo of Ashley, 35, popped up on screen during a segment about Bonnie's childhood. ‌ The snap showed the dancer with his arm around a younger Bonnie, years before she became a household name in the porn industry. Ashley's name was never mentioned in the programme, but fans instantly recognised him - sparking a flurry of messages to the star. Now the TV favourite has broken his silence while chatting to his brother Jordan Banjo and fellow Diversity star Perri Kiely on the Brothers Uncovered podcast, where he gave listeners some context and explained that he had no idea he was in the documentary. The professional dancer said: 'Do you know what's nuts about it? Because I had a few messages, and people sending me, like videoing the screen going, 'you're in the Bonnie Blue documentary', The fact they don't mention my name, or there's no context'. And yes, they're talking about her being a dancer, but then we just pop up'. Jordan admitted he "panicked" when he first saw his brother linked to the show, while Ashley added: "Ain't it mad though, you just never know, like what people are going to do, or who they are." The documentary has already sparked uproar for its graphic content. ‌ One shocking scene showed Bonnie making a sex tape with OnlyFans creators and a porn actor in a school classroom setting - leaving viewers branding the show "disgusting" and "uncomfortable". Fans were angry as they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to air their frustrations at Channel 4, and claimed they were promoting Bonnie. ‌ One viewer penned: "So Bonnie Blue gets a documentary on channel 4 where she can promote and glamorise her lifestyle for the kids watching at home, but we need IDs to see posts on X because 'we need to protect the kids'' Another fumed: "I feel beyond uncomfortable watching this Bonnie Blue documentary, the fact she's been given a platform is concerning. Like it or not, this affects everyone in this generation, how normal this discourse has become from a woman herself is not okay." A third raged: " Channel 4 you are truly disgusting for airing a documentary about Bonnie blue in any way shape or form. Genuinely disappointing how that woman is allowed a platform of any sort, the fact she isn't jailed is beyond me. What a disgrace to all women. #bonnieblue #channel4 #Trending."

A man with a West Coast accent captured the incident on camera, clearly baffled by what he was witnessing. Commuters travelling down the escalator seemed unfazed by the unusual sight. Despite a shaky start, the woman began to find her rhythm around the one-minute mark, inching closer to the top. But just as she was about to reach the top of the escalators, she trips and is dragged back down the stairs - before a kind passerby stepped in to help her back on her feet. Refusing to give in, the determined woman dug deep, putting her leg muscles through the wringer as she fought to regain her lost ground. ‌ By the end of the clip, a crowd had gathered below, cheering her on as she finally conquered the escalator. Viewers found the funny side, flooding the comments section, with one person saying: "Well that escalated slowly." Meanwhile another added: "Everyone is laughing but people pay £60 a month to do that in a gym." Someone else posted: "Thank God you didn't stop video before she made it the suspense would of killed me." While another said: "It's annoying me how many people who were in her way and didn't move, couldn't they see which was trying to achieve something."
