Ezra Miller has been missing in action from the big screen ever since 2023's "The Flash", but the actor recently revealed that they're "on tentative grounds" with the idea of returning to the limelight. They're also working on a vampire movie with "Die My Love" director Lynne Ramsay.

Speaking to the Italian publication Lo Speciale Giornale about their surprising return to the Cannes Film Festival in 2025, Miller said that in terms of their relationship cinema they're feeling, "Tentative. I'd say on tentative grounds."

As to why they were at Cannes, Miller said they were there to support Ramsay who famously directed Miller in the acclaimed 2011 drama "We Need to Talk About Kevin".
"I'm working with [Ramsay] again, that will likely be the first thing I do," Miller said. "It's a film that her and I are writing together. I've been writing a lot because you can do that in solitude, which has been friendly to me."
"And I came to Cannes because she asked me to come, and if there's anything I really still believe in in my life, it's devotion to one's people, one's loved ones ... above all else."
Miller became one of Hollywood's most controversial figures in 2022 after a long list of legal troubles arose. Even earlier than that, back in 2020, Miller's behavior was raising alarms when a video surfaced that appeared to show them choking a woman in a bar.
Before those controversies arose, Miller's star was on the rise, with the "Perks of Being a Wallflower" star attached to two huge (though later defunct) blockbuster Warner Bros. franchises: the DCEU and JK Rowling's "Fantastic Beasts".
Miller ultimately apologized for their behavior and promised to seek treatment for their "complex mental health issues."
Speaking about what happened, Miller said, "When you work in this industry, you will find yourself in deep relation with a lot of people who do not give a single f--k about you or your well being at all."
"And so, not that I don't hold a lot of remorse or lamentation for a lot of things that I did and a lot of things that happened in that time, but I'm really grateful for the lessons that came with that abyss."

James Gunn Breathes Easy After SUPERMAN's Success: "I Don't Have To Worry About The Life And Death Of The DC Brand Anymore" — GeekTyrant

When Superman hit theaters last month, the DCU finally got a much-needed win. The film has earned strong reviews (it holds an 83% on Rotten Tomatoes) and has already crossed the $600 million mark at the global box office, making it the top-grossing superhero flick of 2025 so far. While it didn't hit the elusive billion-dollar milestone, it's a major victory for DC Studios, especially after the critical and financial failures of The Flash and Joker: Folie à Deux . With that kind of success, Superman director and DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn is finally feeling a sense of relief. In a recent interview, Gunn got candid about the pressure that came with launching the first film in the new DC Universe. "That's all it is, it's just an enormous sense of relief. It's relief, and then followed very quickly by excitement because Superman in some ways was the proof of concept. 'It was so, so hard, in the same way that Guardians [of the Galaxy] was so, so hard. Once you're in the groove, you realise, 'Oh, this is what works, this is what doesn't, this is where we can go with this.'" He went on to say: "It means now we have the freedom to tell these other stories in a way that's really exciting. Now, I can just be creative and I don't have to be as concerned with the life and death of the DC brand as I was a month and a half ago." The positive reception from fans has only reinforced his confidence moving forward. "I feel really embraced by the audience. My feeling is that the movie spoke to people, but it also spoke to people because there was a reason for its existence. There was this message of kindness that spoke to people." But Gunn also made it clear he doesn't intend to repeat the same formula in future DCU stories. "That doesn't mean every story I'm going to tell is a message of kindness; it just means there needs to be a reason for the story to be told. You can't just be piling on stuff because it's the characters people liked." Looking ahead, Supergirl is next in line, continuing the "Super-Family" narrative. With Clayface also in the pipeline, the pressure is on to maintain this new momentum. There are rumblings of a major crossover that might see Supergirl teaming up with the Man of Steel, and long-term fans are still hoping that Brainiac will finally make his big-screen debut. Gunn's ultimate vision remains tightly under wraps, but speculation points toward something big and exciting.

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Rapper Lil Nas X was arrested early Thursday in Los Angeles after police said he charged at officers responding to reports of a naked man walking on Ventura Boulevard. Lil Nas X, whose legal name is Montero Lamar Hill, was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing an officer and held at Valley Jail in Van Nuys, according to LAPD spokesman Officer Charles Miller. Officers encountered the 26-year-old shortly before 6 a.m. in Studio City and, after he allegedly rushed at them, took him into custody. Believing he may have overdosed, police transported him to a hospital first, where he was treated for several hours before being released back into custody. Video obtained by TMZ appeared to show the Grammy-nominated artist wearing only underwear and boots on the boulevard. His representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Lil Nas X, an Atlanta native, rose to global fame in 2018 with "Old Town Road," a viral hit that topped the Billboard Hot 100 for a record 19 weeks. His debut full-length album Montero followed in 2021, earning Grammy nominations and solidifying his reputation for genre-bending music and bold artistic style. This is a breaking news story. Updates to follow.
