And now it has been claimed that the channel could merge its three daytime shows - Loose Women, Good Morning Britain, and Lorraine.
Chris Evans was at the helm of The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with the National Lottery on Virgin Radio UK this morning when he speculated over how things might play out at ITV.
He wished everyone at ITV "good luck" before saying: "It's tough out there. It's tough on terrestrial television at the moment.
"They're basically halving the daytime budget.
"So a lot of shows are going down to half the number of episodes they're currently showing."
He then shared: "And there's a conversation that [GMB] might meld with Lorraine and Lorraine might meld with This Morning, This Morning might meld with Loose Women."
Chris later said that the shows were all quite alike.
He said: "And the shows, they're not dissimilar, are they? The shows, you know, they have a lot of the same people on.
"You know what I would do because people are fans of different shows?
"If you're going to plug something on GMB, you could just hang around and then go on Lorraine.
ITV Faces Major Shake-Up: Good Morning Britain Stars Under Threat Amid Cost Cuts
"I'm not joking you could you know and then you could hang around and go on This Morning so if you're on Lorraine between 8:30 and 9:30 hang around or go for a little jog or something, they've got showers there you know or go and have some food or catch up on some emails.
"And then go on, say the last half hour of This Morning. Nobody would notice."
This comes amid chatter that beloved morning host, Lorraine, 65, who underwent surgery earlier this month, could quit TV for good.
Sources say that staff on Lorraine are fearing the legendary host could quit.
ITV show feuds
AFTER fans claimed Judi Love snubbed Lorraine Kelly's Bafta win, we take a look at a few more Lorraine Kelly and Judi Love, 2024: Bafta viewers claimed Judi looked less than impressed when Lorraine collected her gong to mark 30-years of service to daytime telly
Ruth Langsford and Phillip Schofield, 2019: The feud was started when Ruth made an official complaint against Phil while eight other ITV presenters spoke out about what they described as a 'toxic' environment at This Morning.
It escalated during the same year when Phillip rudely interrupted her while she was presenting a preview of Loose Women during an episode of This Morning, with Phil later sacked from the show in 2023.
Holly Willoughby and Phil Schofield, 2023: Back in 2023 The Sun revealed how the pair were "barely speaking" off-camera, something which escalated when Phil's affair with a show runner was exposed
In a very drastic move from ITV amid the shakeup they revealed this week, the Scottish presenter's show will be slashed from an hour to 30 minutes.
Not only this, but it will only air for 30 weeks out of 52.
The changes mean fewer appearances from Lorraine, who has hosted her self-titled programme since 2010 and been with ITV since the 80s.
Her regular stand-ins, Christine Lampard and Ranvir Singh, will not host the show on a Friday anymore, but will remain part of the "ITV family", it has been revealed.
Even though ITV boss Kevin Lygo has insisted that all presenters will remain the same across all affected programmes, a source told The Mirror: 'There are genuine fears among staff that Lorraine may decide to walk if the quality of the show they are putting out declines.
"It's hard to see how standards won't fall….and there are questions over whether Lorraine will want to be associated with that.
"Lorraine and her team are perfectionists - it's why the show is loved by so many.'
The source added that the move was a 'kick in the teeth' for the programme.
A second insider added: 'This is a presenter who has just come back from having an operation, has won a Bafta, is enjoying record ratings….and then ITV show their appreciation by yanking her off air half the year.
"Staff are beside themselves, and have been in tears constantly.
"It doesn't make any sense given the trajectory the show is on.'
Altogether, ITV is slashing 220 jobs, as it aims for cost savings of up to £50million.
ITV confirmed in a dramatic statement that from January 2026, the show will air 9.30am to 10am, and only for 30 weeks a year.
The move comes as part of a major overhaul of ITV's Daytime schedule, which will also see Good Morning Britain extended to 9.30am and produced by ITV News at ITN.
This Morning and Loose Women will continue but share production resources in a cost-cutting blitz.
ITV says savings made will go into dramas and major sporting events, including the next football World Cup.

There are fewer assaults on guards and fellow inmates as prisoners are glued to the show, hosted by Maya Jama. A source said: 'Attacks go down in the summer while Love Island is on. "Gangs put their differences aside. 'Officers are delighted when it starts, as it makes their lives easier and they get some respite. "Prisoners all discuss which girls they fancy — and which boys give them the hump.' The source added: 'The boys at Feltham aren't usually scared of punishments — the only thing that makes them behave is the fear of losing their TV during Love Island. 'They are all banged up by 9pm when it starts and it's the only time you will be able to hear a pin drop on a prison wing. Coronation Street star welcomes second baby with unique and 'beautiful' name

Rebecca Ryan, who played Lydia Chambers on the cobbles, has given birth to her second child with husband Dan. Coronation Street's Rebecca Ryan has given birth to her second child. The former cobbles star, known for her role as Lydia Chambers, shared the delightful arrival of her newest daughter with husband Dan Acram. The soap actress announced the heartwarming news on Instagram, two years after their first child Aurora was born. She introduced her bundle of joy to her followers with a sweet reveal - and an even sweeter, stand-out moniker. ‌ "Introducing the newest member of my little girl gang, the adorable Oriana," Rebecca, 34, wrote. The name Oriana shares a Latin root with Aurora and is linked to the Latin meaning for gold, 'aurum', and dawn or sunrise, 'oriens'. ‌ Her brother Jack, who also appeared in the ITV soap as Jacob Hay, raced to share his delight in the comment section, gushing: "Proof that the first time wasn't a fluke, you make the most beautiful babies." Congratulatory messages poured in from Rebecca's Corrie colleagues, including Sally Carman who raved: "She's beautiful! Congratulations to you both!" and Elle Mulvaney who added: "congratulations she is beautiful." The mum-of-two also shared an adorable Instagram snap of Dan and Aurora carrying Oriana out of hospital in a car seat with the caption: "Family," followed by a pink love heart. Van Morrison's 'Days Like This' played over the Story. Rebecca has showcased her talent across various popular series such as Waterloo Road, Casualty, and Shameless. Prior to giving birth, she documented her pregnancy journey online with snapshots depicting her growing bump. ‌ "Sleeps overrated anyway, here comes baby No.2," she wrote in her latest pregnancy announcement. The touching post was followed by a red heart emoji. ‌ Rebecca and her husband have been eagerly showing off their firstborn daughter on social media since she arrived in 2023. Last year, Rebecca delighted followers with charming snaps of her darling girl celebrating her first birthday. Taking to Instagram, Rebecca wrote: "My darling girl Aurora, where has this year gone? "The immeasurable joy and love you have brought into my life is something I will be forever thankful for. ‌ "Your cheeky smile lights up every room, and I just love watching you grow and change every single day. "You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Happy 1st birthday my girl." The arrival of a second child will add another member to Rebecca's expanding clan, which features her accomplished sibling, also known for his soap work. ‌ Audiences were surprised to hear that Rebecca and Jack were siblings when she joined the cast of the beloved British soap shortly after Jack began playing Jacob. Even the showrunners were taken aback when they discovered that the two were related upon casting them as principal stars. Reflecting on the reaction, Rebecca told The Mirror: "Nobody at 'Coronation Street' had any idea. "When I joined, I'd be talking to people and say, 'Oh, yeah, my brother works here'. And they'd go, 'Really, who's your brother? What? Jack!' "It's a dream come true to be working on the show at the same time, but it's a total coincidence." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Princess Andre reunites with 'gorgeous' mum Katie Price during her Pride performance amid claims the glamour model won't feature in daughter's new reality show

Princess Andre reunited with her mum Katie Price on Saturday night as she shared behind-the-scenes clips from her headline performance at Portsmouth Pride. The influencer, 17, posted a sweet backstage selfie with her former glamour model mum, 46, on Snapchat as she supported her at the event. Princess kept casual in a grey hoodie while Katie wowed in a pink dazzling fringe jacket which she wore over a black minidress and donned a sparkling hat. The oldest daughter of Katie and ex husband Peter Andre filmed from the side of stage as her mum performed, she wrote: 'She's such a baddie'. In another selfie on Snapchat, Katie beamed in a more low-key look while Princess pouted to the camera. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Despite Katie making her name, and her millions, as a reality television star it was recently reported that daughter Princess isn't quite so impressed by her mother's star quality because she will not feature on her forthcoming ITV show. MailOnline revealed that Katie will not appear on the fly-on-the-wall programme which will see influencer Princess, who turns 18 next month, become a celebrity in her own right but her dad Peter, step-mum Emily and older brother Junior are all to have parts in the series. The programme will follow her work and home life as she prepares to reach the milestone age and last month, the popular teenager was spotted with a camera crew outside the London offices of hair styling brand GHD. A television insider told MailOnline: 'Katie will not be in Princess's show, the decision has been made and it's final. 'Princess loves her mum, and they have a great relationship, but the show is all about her work and home life. 'Television bosses were adamant that nothing was to be 'staged' to include Katie as it would not be a real and truthful insight into her life.' Princess has already signed big money deals with clothing and beauty brands including being an ambassador for high street chain Superdrug, Studio London, Morphe and Revolution. Cameras will be following her around as she continues to make waves in the highly lucrative influencer world up until she turns 18 at the end of June. Despite Katie making her name, and her millions, as a reality television star it seems that Princess isn't quite so impressed by her mother's star quality But television executives have been so impressed with the teenager that it looks set to be the start of her television career and clearly don't want her controversial mother to muddy her chances at becoming a household name. Back in 2020 dad Peter launched the family's YouTube channel, The Andres, which gave viewers a glimpse into their lives. The source added: 'Princess is a complete natural, which isn't surprising considering she grew up on her parents' reality TV shows. 'Everyone working on the show has been really impressed with her attitude and professionalism. She's got a lot going on so there's plenty of great stuff for them to film. 'It's a really exciting time for Princess.' She hopes the series will help launch her catwalk career. Peter, who shot to fame in the noughties with his hit Mysterious Girl, has brought Junior and Princess up along with wife Emily, 35, with whom he has three children, Amelia, 11, eight-year-old Theo and daughter Arabella, who was born in April 2025. Meanwhile, Katie has son Harvey from her relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke as well as Jett, 12, and Bunny, 11, from her marriage to Kieran Hayler. Katie and Peter, 52, started their relationship in 2004 after getting together on I'm A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here! but their relationship fell apart in 2009 and they divorced.
