This was Rahul's second Test century at Lord's. He had earlier scored a memorable hundred during India's 2021 tour of England.
This time, he stood firm once again on a challenging pitch, blending caution with his trademark timing.
'Everything about Lord's makes it that much more special. The legacy, the history. Every time you walk into Lord's, you are reminded of the legacy and history of cricket,' Rahul added.
Poll
Should KL Rahul be considered one of India's top batsmen after this performance?
Absolutely
He has potential
Needs more consistency
No, not yet
Rahul shared key partnerships with
Rishabh Pant
as India patiently built their innings. His calm presence at the crease allowed others to bat around him as India matched England run for run.
With the Test still finely poised, Rahul's knock has given India the platform they needed in this high-stakes battle.

Jaiswal's Redemption Catch, Reddy's Send-Off To Crawley, Full Drama At Lord's: Watch

Yashasvi Jaiswal redeemed himself with a sharp catch at gully to dismiss Zak Crawley off Nitish Reddy's bowling, triggering a spirited celebration at Lord's. Yashasvi Jaiswal redeemed himself on Sunday in what was a jubilant moment for India in the ongoing third India vs England Test at the home of cricket– Lord's. Zak Crawley, whose time-wasting act on Saturday evening left the Indians fuming, was dismissed by all-rounder Nitish Reddy in the morning session of the fourth day, and it was Jaiswal who grabbed a sharp catch at gully. Though Jaiswal has been among runs coming to England, he has been getting highly criticized for his sloppy fieldwork since the first Test in Leeds. But the 23-year-old didn't make any mistakes on Sunday. Crawley looked to drive Reddy's fuller delivery swinging away but ended up nicking it towards gully where Jaiswal pouched it safely. The Indians erupted in joy. While others rushed to congratulate Jaiswal, Reddy was spotted giving an animated send-off to Crawley, whose struggle in the middle ended at 22 runs. With just one over left before stumps, Crawley took an unusually long time to take strike, repeatedly adjusting his gear and backing away from the crease. The Indian captain, standing in the slips, was seen exchanging heated words with the England opener, clearly annoyed at the deliberate delay. The incident disrupted the flow of the game and appeared to be a tactical move by Crawley to deny India another over under fading light. The umpires intervened to calm things down, but the exchange reflected the rising intensity between the two sides. 'Saamne hai bhai, height to hai hi nahi': How Mohammed Siraj convinced Shubman Gill for the DRS

Team India celebrates the wicket of Ollie Pope. (Pic credit: BCCI) Mohammed Siraj is known for his fiery spells, but on Day 4 of the third Test at Lord's, it was his unwavering confidence - not just his bowling - that stole the spotlight. The moment came in the 12th over of England's second innings when Ollie Pope was struck on the pads by a sharp nip-backer from Siraj. The Indian pacer immediately went up in appeal and turned to captain Shubman Gill , exclaiming: "Saamne hai bhai, height to hai hi nahi." Live Score: India vs England 3rd Test Gill, momentarily unsure, looked toward his teammates. But with just six seconds left on the DRS timer, Siraj's conviction won the day. The skipper signalled for the review - and Siraj was spot on. The ball had zipped in past Pope's tentative bat and thudded into the front pad. UltraEdge showed no contact with the bat, and HawkEye displayed three reds. The delivery was crashing into the top of leg stump. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Siraj, overjoyed, pumped his wrists and roared in celebration as his teammates mobbed him. The crowd at Lord's erupted, matching the energy of the Indian players. Pope had once again fallen to indecision - neither fully forward nor back - and was caught plumb on the crease. WATCH: The wicket marked Siraj's second of the morning after he had already rattled Ben Duckett in the sixth over. Duckett's mistimed pull off a 140kph back-of-a-length ball was caught by Bumrah at mid-on, but it was Siraj's aggressive celebration that caught attention - charging at Duckett and giving him a shoulder bump, reflecting the lingering heat from the previous evening's tension. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like So sánh mức trượt giá: Hợp đồng tương lai (CFD) Bitcoin vs Ethereum IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Why Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah lost their cool in last five minutes of Day 3 vs England India were still fired up after Zak Crawley 's deliberate time-wasting at the end of Day 3 had prevented them from bowling an additional over, a move that led to a heated exchange between Crawley and Gill.
