Kristen Bell's husband Dax Shepard posts NUDE photo of actress to celebrate her Emmy nomination

Dax Shepard had a unique way of celebrating wife Kristen Bell 's first-ever Emmy nomination. The 50-year-old actor-comedian engaged his 4.1 million Instagram followers on Tuesday as he shockingly shared a photo of Kristen, 44, doing yoga in the nude. Bell, who was nominated for her role in the hit Netflix series Nobody Wants This, appeared to be in their Los Feliz backyard as she posed in the downward dog position with her left leg lifted. The mother-of-two, who married Dax in 2013, was wearing nothing but knee-high blue socks. Shepard joked in the caption: 'People might not know everything that happens behind the scenes in order to create an Emmy nominated performance like Kristen's. This may or may not have been a part of her training, but it felt right. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!' The raunchy post has so far collected over 113,000 likes, with famous friends joining the comments section. Nina Dobrev quipped, 'Hahahaha yesssss go girl! suns out buns out for that Emmy!!!' while Gwyneth Paltrow commented, 'Oh my God, Dax.' Bell is nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, and the show will face off against Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking, The Studio and What We Do in the Shadows for Best Comedy Series. Her co-star Adam Brody, who plays her love interest in the series, was nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Bell — who also executive produced the series — plays Joanne, an irreverent woman who falls for a charming rabbi named Noah (Brody). A logline for the show reads: 'He's stuck in his ways and used to playing things safe. He starts to stumble when he meets a brutally honest and provocative Joanne, totally upending his safe life plan.' Nobody Wants This marks Bell's second Netflix series after producing and starring in the eight-episode limited series The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window in 2022. Justine Lupe plays Joanne's sister Morgan in the television show. The semi-autobiographical project was created and written by Erin Foster, 42, who shared a first-look snippet with her Instagram followers in August 2024. Foster, who is married to Simon Tikhman, told Tudum last year, 'This show really represents how I view love now, which is so different than how I viewed it before. 'Being in a really beautiful, healthy, fun relationship, it made me soften some of my cynicism.' Kristen used her Instagram platform to share a photo of her and Erin's real-time reactions to their Emmy recognition. The women displayed dropped jaws as they joined each other virtually via a video chat. Last October the show was renewed by Netflix for a second season, just weeks after it premiered on the streamer to much fanfare.

Rough times for broadcast networks illustrate changing media landscape

Two milestones revealed this week illustrate the diminishing power of broadcast television in the media world — one fueled by the habits of young people and the other by their elders. During June, viewers spent more time watching streaming services than they did for broadcast and cable television combined. That happened for the first time ever in May, by a fraction of a percentage point, but the Nielsen company said on Tuesday that gap widened considerably in June. Also, for the third straight week, Nielsen said that Fox News Channel had more viewers in prime-time on weeknights than any of the main the broadcast networks ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox entertainment. For years, the mantra of media executives was that streaming represented the future for in-home entertainment. Now, that future has clearly arrived. Broadcast TV slips below 20% of total In June, 46% of Americans' TV time was spent on streaming services, led by YouTube and Netflix. Cable television networks represented 23.4% and broadcast was 18.5%, for a total of just under 42%, Nielsen said. It was the first time broadcast TV had ever slipped below 20% of total TV viewing. 'It kind of felt like the right time,' said Brian Fuhrer, Nielsen's senior vice president for product strategy and thought leadership. 'A lot of people thought it would happen more quickly.' The driving force in June was school ending for young people, meaning they had more time to watch TV, where Netflix series like 'Ginny & Georgia' and 'Squid Game' were big hits. Roughly two-thirds of people aged 6 to 17 watched streaming ahead of conventional TV, Nielsen said. In June 2024, the numbers were roughly reversed — 47.7% of people were watching conventional TV in an average minute, with 40.3% logged on to a streaming service. While the direction is clear, it's not a death knell for conventional TV. June and July are fallow months, and their viewing will increase when football season begins and original episodes of comedies and dramas return, Fuhrer said. Content is distributed over more platforms It's also not a strict either-or situation; media companies are doing a better job spreading their content out on different platforms to give viewers a choice, he said. The growth of YouTube, which many consumers can access for free and is a portal for "traditional" TV, has also fueled streaming services. Fox News has occasionally eclipsed the broadcast networks in viewership before, but last week represented the seventh week it has done so in 2025, already more than 2024 and 2023 combined. It averaged 2.4 million viewers in prime time on weeknights last week, Nielsen said. Fox News is also taking advantage of what is traditionally the least-watched time of the year for broadcast networks, when summer nights and barbecues keep people outside. The difference this year is it has won a few weeks outside of the summer, during President Donald Trump 's inauguration week in January, for example. Its audience — among the oldest of all television networks — tends to stay pretty steady throughout the year. ___

Beyonce and Jay-Z to COMPETE against each other for an Emmy after Grammys controversy

Beyonce and husband Jay-Z are set to go head-to-head as they compete for an Emmy after receiving nominations in the same category. The A-list couple - who tied the knot in 2008 - garnered nods for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) as the nominees were officially announced on Tuesday ahead of the 77th Emmy Awards on September 14. The Crazy In Love songstress, 43, was nominated for her NFL Halftime Show called the Beyonce Bowl which aired on Netflix on Christmas Day. And the Empire State Of Mind rapper landed a spot in the same category for being an executive producer for Kendrick Lamar 's Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in February. It comes one year after Jay-Z called out the Recording Academy over his wife not winning Album of the Year, despite having 'more Grammys than everyone.' Beyonce also received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special for her Beyonce Bowl. Her halftime performance aired live on Netflix on Christmas Day as the Houston Texans took on the Baltimore Ravens. The beauty belted out tunes from her Cowboy Carter album - and at one point was also joined by her eldest child Blue Ivy. The Beyonce Bowl broke a number of records, and became the most-watched NFL game since 2001. During her performance alone, 27 million viewers tuned in to watch and 10 days afterwards, it was revealed that an additional 50 million viewers watched the special on the streaming site. Her halftime show was also released on Netflix as a stand-alone special two days later - which spanned over the course of around 20 minutes. Jay-Z was also one of the executive producers for the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show which Kendrick Lamar headlined earlier this year in February. The anticipated match took place in New Orleans and saw the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs. The halftime show also broke records and became the most-watched with 133.5 million viewers, per Billboard. The record had been announced by Apple Music, NFL and also Roc Nation only days after the game. Over on Instagram, the companies issued a statement which read: 'We've broken the record again! The most watched Apple Music Halftime show EVER, with 133.5 Million viewers.' Beyonce Bowl also received Emmy nominations for Outstanding Production Design and Outstanding Choreography. Kendrick Lamar's halftime show also garnered nods for Outstanding Directing, Outstanding Music Production and Outstanding Choreography. Beyonce and Jay-Z competing for the same award comes a little over one year since the rapper called out the Grammys over his wife not winning Album of the Year. He made the public comment to the crowd as he accepted the 2024 Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. At one point, the performer expressed: 'I'm just saying we want you to get it right. We love y'all. We want you to get it right, at least get it close to right. 'And obviously it's subjective - you don't have to clap at everything - because it's music and it's opinion-based.' Jay-Z then added, 'I don't want to embarrass this young lady but she has more Grammys than anyone and never won Album of the Year so even by your own metrics that doesn't work. 'Think about that. The most Grammys, never won Album of the Year. That doesn't work. 'Some of you going to go home tonight and think you've been robbed. Some of you may get robbed, some of you don't belong in the category. When I get nervous, I tell the truth. He then shared, 'But outside of that, we got to keep showing up - and forget the Grammys for a second, just in life.' Beyonce had notably been sitting in the audience during her husband's speech and held an apprehensive expression on her face. However, earlier this year in February during the 2025 Grammy Awards, the songstress finally scored her first Album of the Year win for Cowboy Carter. The 77th Annual Emmy Awards are to set to take place in Los Angeles on September 14 - with Nick Bargatze taking on hosting duties. Beyonce has been keeping busy as she is currently embarking on her Cowboy Carter Tour. The star recently made a major change to her Cowboy Carter tour just weeks after the singer was left hanging midair during a terrifying stunt. She took to the stage in Atlanta last week on Thursday where she debuted a mechanical gold horse which she rode inside the Mercedes- Benz Stadium. Up until last month, she had ridden on a red Cadillac convertible which would suspend over the crowd - but the prop began to suddenly tilt amid her June 28 concert in Houston which caused the singer to abruptly stop the show. However, Beyonce has since made the slight alteration to her tour last week with the flying gold horse. She notably sits on the prop as it soars through the air while belting out her country track 16 Carriages. It is not the first time that the songstress has used a horse as a prop while performing on stage. Back in 2023 during her Renaissance Tour, Beyonce used a sparkling silver horse - which mimicked her Renaissance album cover. The songstress kicked off her Cowboy Carter Tour earlier this year in April - and is in support of her eighth studio album of the same name which was released in 2024. She performed two additional dates in Atlanta on Sunday, July 13 and the following Monday on July 14. The Crazy In Love hitmaker will travel to Las Vegas later this month where the tour will conclude on July 26 at Allegiant Stadium. It was also reported that Beyonce's unreleased music was stolen during her Cowboy Carter tour stop in Atlanta on July 8. The incident occurred when a suspect stole a hard drive containing the unleased music from a motor vehicle - and an arrest warrant his since been issued.
