Report: Vanderpump Rules Bar TomTom Suffers ‘Big Loss' Amid Lisa Vanderpump Rebrand Rumors

Yahoo25-03-2025

alums Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz's TomTom bar has been undergoing some major renovations in recent weeks. Speculation is rampant that may be rebranding the struggling establishment as her former Pump restaurant.
Though Pump actually closed in 2023, Lisa moved the sign from her former business to TomTom. She hung the Pump sign right beside the TomTom marquee, confusing customers who wondered if they were merging.
When major construction took place outside of TomTom in early March, fans were even more concerned. They wondered if, following in the steps of Schwartz & Sandy's, TomTom bar was going dark.
As it turns out, the construction project had 'nothing to do with a rebrand.' The bar just needed to comply with a change in West Hollywood zoning laws. Following the end of the pandemic, WeHo notified local businesses that their expanded outdoor spaces needed to be downsized again. Everyone was required to return to their original sidewalk space to facilitate local foot traffic.
Most of the other local establishments made the change weeks ago. However, TomTom only got around to it this month. Now the patio, which previously accommodated 12 outdoor tables, fireplaces, and bar seating, has only a few two-person high-tops.
'It's a bummer to not have as much outdoor space,' a TomTom employee told The U.S. Sun. 'The indoor/outdoor California lifestyle really suited this space, so it is a big loss to the restaurant.'
'Every place in the area had to do the same,' the staffer added. 'There's nothing [the owners] could've done, but it was disappointing.'
The source continued, 'Not only is there less space to seat people [translating to reduced income], but it cost them a lot of money to execute.'
The good news is that business has been 'steady' in recent months. The insider also reported that despite the dip in customers following the Scandoval backlash, TomTom's traffic has 'actually picked up a lot this year.'
Nevertheless, the writing's on the wall for TomTom. Longtime SUR manager Peter Madrigal firmly believes it's only a matter of time until Lisa rebrands TomTom as Pump.
Vanderpump Rules is currently available for streaming on Peacock.

'Siri, play Bad Blood': Internet reacts to Elon Musk and Trump 'breakup'

In the "divorce" of President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, the internet is taking the side of cracking jokes. The pair's relationship, which started to show cracks in recent weeks, appeared to reach a breaking point on June 5 when the president and Tesla CEO each hurled personal attacks at one another on social media. "Look, Elon and I had a great relationship," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on June 5. "I don't know if we will anymore." Musk fired back, saying Trump "would have lost the election" without him. The tit-for-tat escalated from there. Social media quickly erupted over the public feud, with users taking jabs at the pair's "breakup." Some politicians even took to making memes. Here's a look at what's happening and the social media uproar ensuing. The morning after: Trump says he's not interested in talking to Musk While Musk was Trump's right hand for the early months of his second term as the leader of the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, the Tesla CEO announced in early May that he would be stepping back from the agency. At the end of May, Musk openly criticized the president's so-called "Big Beautiful Bill," which marked the start of the pair's public squabble. Trump said on June 5 that he is "very disappointed" with Musk, marking the start of their social media firestorm. On one hand, Musk endorsed a third Trump impeachment, predicted a recession and accused the president of being connected to accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. On the other, Trump threatened to cancel Musk's government contracts and subsidies. Steve Bannon, an informal advisor to Trump, also told the New York Times he told the president to launch several investigations into Musk, including whether he should be deported. When friendships implode: Elon Musk says Trump 'would have lost the election' While there are some serious claims being thrown around, the internet attempted to lighten the mood with jokes − even some fellow politicians chimed in. Some were quick to tease to Trump's apparent beef with superstar Taylor Swift. How Bravo became NBCUniversal's biggest streaming asset

When Frances Berwick started at Bravo in the 1990s, the cable channel was still positioning itself as a hub for 'film and arts.' Berwick climbed the NBCUniversal ladder, eventually growing her domain to all of the company's entertainment cable channels, including E!, Oxygen True Crime, SYFY, USA, and Universal Kids. Her rise at NBCUniversal has coincided with cable's decline. Some 46% of households have cut the cord, and many of the networks she once oversaw faced dwindling audiences and profits to send back to parent company Comcast. So, the company amputated the afflicted limbs. All of those entertainment networks, along with news magnets like MSNBC and CNBC, will be overseen by a spinoff company, Versant, which is expected to be spun out by the end of 2025. But Bravo, the network that houses reality franchises like The Real Housewives, Vanderpump Rules, and Top Chef, is staying in-house. That's due in part to the fan-driven culture of its programming, which can prop up custom advertising, live events, and—the company hopes—their streamer Peacock. Berwick will lead the way: In January, she was named chair of Bravo and Peacock Unscripted, effectively merging the reality network with its streamer. Bravo isn't the perfect bet for NBCUniversal's television future. Its cable presence is sagging like most of its Versant counterparts, with an expected decline of 5% in subscribers and 6.5% in ad sales in 2025, per market research firm Kagan. (Bravo declined to disclose their financials.) Bravo also remains tied up in some long-tailed legal battles from 2023's Reality Reckoning, when claims of talent mistreatment challenged the network.
