Corbin Bleu fans have worked out identity of High School Musical's star's dad
Fans of High School Musical star Corbin Bleu have been left gobsmacked after realising where they have seen his dad before as the proud father visits his son in London as he is currently on the West End
Disney Channel fans have been left gobsmacked after only just realising that Corbin Bleu 's dad has appeared in some of their favourite films and TV shows, often co-starring as his real life son's father on-screen. It comes after the 66-year-old dad, named David Reivers, recently visited Bleu as he is currently lives in London.
Corbin, best known for his role as basketball star Chad in the High School Musical films, made his West End debut this year in the premiere of The Great Gatsby musical. The Broadway star is playing Nick Carraway at the London Coliseum, alongside Love Island contestant and west end star, Amber Davies.
The I Don't Dance singer was stunned after his cast mates surprised him with High School Musical songs during a pre-show warm up recently - and fans have been rushing to see him on stage in the glamorous performance. As well as fans rushing to see him while he is in London, his dad has also paid him a visit.
Last weekend, Corbin shared a video of his dad seeing his son on a Great Gatsby poster in St Martin's Lane. The proud dad smiled as he took a picture and said, "hey y'all that's my son". "I'm so proud man," he told Corbin, adding, "that is so f***ing awesome".
Corbin wrote: "Pops never misses a show." Amber Davies commented and said: "He's OUR dad now." And while the sweet moment raked in over two million views on TikTok, people could not get over their disbelief that David Reivers is his dad.
One fan commented: "Your father is David Reivers? How did I not know this?" While another probed: "The dad from Jump In is your actual dad?"
A third chimed in: "The Jump In dad was the real papi this whole time," while a fourth echoed: "Your dad is Jump In dad?"
Someone else wrote: "You mean to tell me that was your real dad this whole time?"
One other, who has proven she is a true fan, said: "The fact most of ya'll didn't know the Jump In dad was his real dad... wee you guys never paying attention to the Disney behind the scenes they used to do on Disney Channel?"
David played Corbin's dad in the 2007 film Jump Inn, where a teenage boxer falls in love with rope jumping. Corbin's real dad also played his father in High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Plus he also starred alongside his soon in 2008 film Free Style.
The dad-of-four also starred in Nikelodeon's Drake and Josh as a police office, and in 2006 he also starred as a police office in Gilmore Girls. Plus, he played Sergeant Clemente in one episode of Desperate Housewives. David also played Bob Cowan in eight episodes of Charmed. But he has not done much acting recently; his last noted role was in The Fosters in 2016.
He often shares updates on his life on his Instagram page @dareivers. The proud dad recently shared a video clip of his time in London and said: "Having an amazing time in London seeing my son @corbinbleu absolutely kill it in a fantastic production of The Great Gatsby Musical in the West End, and more...so proud of him."

Love Island star reveals terrifying moment she was forced to run screaming after being followed by a man: 'I'm scared to walk around'
A Love Island star has revealed she was forced to run screaming after being followed by a man in a terrifying ordeal. Patsy Field took to social media to detail the horrifying incident with fans as she admitted she no longer felt safe in her local area. The former islander, 30, who took part in last year's summer edition of the ITV dating show, told fans how she went on a walk in Bromley shortly after 8pm. In a video, she explained how she had headed out in a bid to walk off 'being full of steak' after a family dinner at Miller and Carter. She said: 'I'd got an outfit on which could be a bit revealing but like I said, I'd never had any issues before. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I've always felt safe where I'm from.' Patsy told how her mother always discourages her from walking by herself at night because the area she's from gets 'a bed rep'. About 10 minutes into her stroll, Patsy realised there was a man walking close by her and she crossed the road. She said: 'I give it a couple of steps on the other side of the road and I thought, I'll just check and I turn around and he's crossed the road.' Unsettled, Patsy said she remained open-minded because there were parked cars on that side of the road. However, in disbelief, the man once again crossed the road after she had moved back. Thinking on her feet while panicking, Patsy stopped walking and looked down at her phone, with the man walking on past her. She continued: 'I can see the end of the road so he carries on walking, there's a zebra crossing right at the end of the road. Patsy told fans how she screamed for help before running off and ringing her mother to come and collect her 'He crosses the zebra crossing and he's about to be out of my sight, but then just as he's about to go out of sight, like away, he stops and turns back around and he just starts walking back towards me. 'I'm like what the f**k is going on.' As the man made contact with Patsy, she was left unnerved and began screaming for help and ran in the opposite direction. The reality star rang her mother who was able to come and pick her up. 'Now I'm scared to walk around my own area which is a shame as I've never had an issue before,' she admitted. While on Love Island, Patsy revealed she w as born with Erb palsy, a disability that affects the muscle function in her right arm and also means it is shorter in length. She told how she should have been born via cesarean, but doctors made the crucial error for her to be delivered naturally, resulting in the defect, which she has had to overcome her entire life.

Sam Thompson's 'bravado' in first meeting with Louis Tomlinson at Soccer Aid
Sam Thompson and Louis Tomlinson have finally come face-to-face after the One Direction singer started dating the Made in Chelsea star's ex-girlfriend Zara McDermott. Last year I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! winner Sam, 32, split from his long-time girlfriend Zara, who rose to fame appearing on Love Island. The couple had been together for five years, however three months later Zara, 28, was spotted on a date in Suffolk with Louis, 33. At the time a source said Sam was 'hurting' and was struggling after seeing his ex 'move on so quickly'. Not long after the new romance was confirmed, it was revealed that the men were set to meet on live TV after both signing up for the Soccer Aid for Unicef match in June, where they will both be playing on the England team. Now, with the match just a few days away, the pair have taken to the pitch for training at Old Trafford in Manchester, with photographers capturing them together. During the session, Sam and Louis were seen doing their best to avoid eye contact when meeting. Throughout training, they were seen having a kick with their fellow teammates, who include Tom Grennan, Bear Grylls, Paddy McGuinness, Wayne Rooney and Jill Scott. One photo saw them pose for a team photo, with Louis standing directly behind Sam, while another showed Sam standing close by Louis as they trained. Weighing in on their interaction, body language expert Judi James said Sam looked like he was trying to convey a sense of 'bravado'. 'Both Sam's 'red carpet' pose and Louis's arrival for the game suggest the kind of overkill, stretched smiles that hint at a huge desire to act as though nothing has happened despite this being their first meet-up since Sam split with Zara who then moved on with Louis,' she told Metro. 'Sam's smile in particular looks like a gesture of bravado as his chest is also puffed in a look of pride and resilience. There are no moments here where the two men performed an act of acknowledgment, greeting each other or even shaking hands or hugging to signal there are no hard feelings.' She went on: 'When you try to ignore a glaring situation like this it often adds to the drama, but the suggestion is that neither of these celebrity 'nice guys' wanted to upstage a very worthwhile charity event. While Sam resorted to playful showboating Louis appeared more low-key and introvert, watching Sam at times but with the two men otherwise avoiding eye contact.' Since being spotted together in March, Louis and Zara have taken romantic trips away together to Los Angeles and Costa Rica. Meanwhile Sam has now moved on himself too, and is dating another Love Island star – Samie Eilishi, 25. However last month his best mate and podcast host Pete Wicks poked fun at Sam, addressing his 'rivalry' with Louis. 'How do you feel about the lineup? Do you think you have a strong team? Any kind of people in there that you're looking forward to playing with?' he asked. Laughing but avoiding to be drawn, Sam listed other stars he was looking forward to playing with. More Trending 'Make sure you get him on side though,' Pete said about boxer Tyson Fury. 'Because you may need him in your corner. In case you fall out with anyone – not that you will – but just in case there's any rivalries or anything. 'You know you have to train together and it's a lot and you know when you're kind of in close quarters with someone like that, all sorts get brought up.' Despite the potentially awkward run-in, a source previously said that Sam had 'no hard feelings' towards Louis. The Soccer Aid for Unicef match airs Sunday 15 June on ITV1. Got a story? I've always loved Stacey Solomon. But the bikini pics have led me to a startling realisation… and deep unease
The TV icon has never shied away from celebrating her 'mum bod' - but her latest holiday snaps have left me concerned KELLY ALLEN I've always loved Stacey Solomon. But the bikini pics have led me to a startling realisation… and deep unease Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) I LOVE Stacey Solomon, I really do. I've known her since she was on The X Factor as an ambitious 20-year-old and felt for her when her latest reality show 'Stacey and Joe' was slammed - why, then, did the pics of her glorious curves this week hit me like a ton of bricks? 6 Stacey Solomon wore an orange bikini while on holiday in Lake Como, Italy, this week Credit: BackGrid 6 The TV star looked healthy and carefree as she soaked up the sun on her break Credit: BackGrid 6 But Stacey was abused by vile trolls for showing off her natural body Credit: BackGrid As she posed in her orange bikini on holiday in Lake Como this week, she looked happy, healthy and carefree. Sadly the vile trolls unleashed a torrent of abuse on her with one cruelly saying "She's let herself go" while another added "Ozempic needed". And as I absorbed the comments, it hit me how long it had been since I had seen a celebrity body that looked like my own. Recently it feels like on social media I am constantly bombarded with tiny toned bodies, perfect pert bums and impossibly flat stomachs. Even when I put down my phone it's on our TV screens as the new season of Love Island kicked off with girls in barely-there bikinis and not one belly roll in sight. It's quite a worrying trend and it's left me feeling uneasy that being thin is so back en vogue. I grew up in the era where pals lived by Kate Moss's mantra 'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels'. Having struggled with my weight since my teens and having tried (and failed) to do every fad diet going, I've always felt inadequate. I was grateful for the rise of the body confident movement, and I totally embraced it. Finally I could feel comfortable in my own skin because celebrities like Adele, Rebel Wilson and Lizzo - who looked like me - were saying they felt sexy, too. But over the last 12 months I've seen curvier (and actually not-so-curvy) celebs slim down at an accelerated rate with the rise of fat jabs. Everyone has the right to do what they want with their bodies and lose weight however they choose and there are certainly health benefits to slimming down. Stacey Solomon looks incredible as she strips off to black bikini and jumps off a bridge in Italy But this new quick fix means our celebrities are smaller than ever and I think it's making people forget what real women look like. The cult of thin is back in such a big way and it's depressing for those who aren't getting on board and sacrificing themselves to weight loss injections in a bid to be a skinny minny. Stacey, who is a busy mum to Zachary, 17, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, three and two-year-old Belle, has never shied away from celebrating her 'mum bod'. Stacey's success is not determined by the size on her clothes label And it is refreshing to see a typical healthy woman in the public eye. It makes me feel that it would be OK for me to get my body out this summer on holiday. Two years ago, the 35-year-old, who is married to Joe Swash, revealed to her followers she's a size 10-12. The average woman in the UK is a size 16 so while she is still smaller than most women, she is still being judged. The Loose Women star is also maintaining a healthy lifestyle, often working out in her newly built home gym where she aims to be strong not skinny. Standing in front of a mirror she said: 'I thought it was really important to come on here and say when I take the gym clothes off I look like this…' before pulling down her leggings down past her hips to show off unfiltered and non-photoshopped body. She added, '...Which is also really pretty and a really lovely body and I just feel like it's important to show that.' Stacey is one of our most successful Brit celebrities with over 6.1m followers. Strong not skinny She's got a host of TV shows and successful brand deals and is even rumoured to be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing. In a sea of size zero Ozempic loving stars, maintaining her realistic normal body is perhaps why she's still winning over audiences. Stacey's success is not determined by the size on her label. I'm grateful, like many other women, that she prefers to give us an injection of her relatable and funny personality rather than injecting a weight loss drug into her body! 6 it's refreshing to see a typical healthy woman in the public eye, says Fabulous' Kelly 6 Stacey is a busy mum to Zachary, 17, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, three and two-year-old Bell
