A reparative K-beauty snail mucin essence — you probably didn't think that anyone could convince you to put something on your face that has to do with snails, but boy, does this work hard to help repair dark spots, hydrate dull skin, and rejuvenate damaged skin. Many reviewers said they were skeptical at first, but once they used it, they loved the glow it gave them.
A collagen-coating hair treatment with collagen and ceramide 3 to treat hair that's been through intense heat or sun damage. Use this in between your shampoo and conditioner and leave it in for five minutes — soon enough, you'll have silky soft hair!
A pack of Schick dermaplaning razors if you want to get rid of all the peach fuzz and extra hair on your face. Not only does this remove the hair, it gently exfoliates your skin, can help your skin absorb skincare products, AND makes your makeup application waaayyy smoother. Plus, it includes a special cap that ensures you don't go overboard near the eyebrows.
The TikTok-famous E.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer to be the perfect base layer for your makeup, ensuring it stays put all day and night. It'll blur your pores and fine lines, making it look like you've got the beauty filter on 24/7. And it's even infused with squalene, so it'll leave your skin feeling super hydrated.
A Glossier cream blush — it's fragrance-free, easily spreadable with your fingers, and super buildable. Whether you're going for a more natural glow or a bright pop of color, this will surely become a staple in your makeup bag.
A mascara remover since you're tired of looking like a raccoon when it comes time to take your eye makeup off. Just swipe this on like regular mascara and BAM, no more mascara (even the stubborn waterproof formulas can't beat this genius remover).
A volcanic stone face roller because your oily skin always seems to find a way to disturb that matte makeup look you're going for. Just swipe this on and watch how it magically removes all the excess oil. And unlike blotting papers, you can wash and reuse the roller, and it fits perfectly in your purse!
A pack of Mighty Patches, pretty much deemed the OG and the gold standard of pimple patches on the market (literally, they're locked up when you go to Target... they're that good). These hydrocolloid patches help suck out any gunk from pesky pimples and help prevent you from picking at them.
A box of Skin1004 "zombie" face masks if you're looking to reduce the appearance of fine lines and tighten your skin. This has albumin and aloe vera extract to improve skin elasticity and provide soothing moisture. Yeah, you might look like Frankenstein for 15 minutes, but the results will be well worth it.
A bottle of Bio Oil, a must-have for anyone dealing with hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, or even post-surgery scars. This can help repair the skin and boost collagen production. If you don't take it from me, just take a look at the 39,000+ 5-star reviews!
A CeraVe salicylic acid body wash that gently exfoliates your rough and bumpy skin without causing damage, unlike many harsher exfoliants. It'll help you achieve smooth skin and leave you feeling oh-so-hydrated thanks to the hyaluronic acid and ceramides.
A Revlon hot air brush because the Dyson Airwrap costs an arm and a leg and this round brush gives you the same, if not better, bouncy blowout results. This dries *and* styles at the same time, saving you some extra time in the morning!
An anti-chafing balm that's basically like an "I got you" for your inner thighs, shoulders, feet, and anywhere that tends to chafe or get easily irritated. This non-greasy formula is easy to swipe on and will come in handy when you're out running, hiking, or just dealing with the perpetual state of being sweaty.
A foot peel mask, which will probably make you feel like a snake shedding its skin, but oh boy, will this do the trick to getting all that dead skin off your feet. Leave this on for an hour, and in the following days, you'll see dead skin fall right off.
A bottle of CND SolarOil because cuticle care definitely falls under the umbrella of overall self-care. This helps your nail beds and the skin around them look so much better, thanks to the blend of vitamin E, jojoba oil, and sweet almond oil.
A pack of UV stickers — once you apply your sunscreen, they turn white, and then they turn back to purple to let you know that it's time to reapply. They're super thin and can withstand sweat, water, and dirt, basically making them a summer staple for anyone planning to be outdoors.
A teeth-whitening pen so your pearly whites can be... pearly and white. This easy-to-use pen brushes on the whitening gel so you don't have to deal with annoying whitening strips. With consistent daily use, you won't be able to help but smile at the results.
A Maybelline concealer for anyone who's tired of looking... tired and dealing with dark circles. This buildable formula is easy to swipe on thanks to its cushion applicator, and it's infused with haloxyl which helps tighten the skin!
A bottle of professional-grade callus-removing gel that'll help remove all the dead skin on your heels and leave you with skin that feels as smooth as a baby's bottom!
A long-wear lip tint that reviewers compare to the likes of Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution and YSL's Velvet Cream. It'll give you a beautiful pop of color and have your lips feeling hydrated thanks to the blend of vitamin E oil and green tea oil.
An eyeliner stamp where all you need to do is stamp the wing on the outer corner of your eye and flip it over to the fine tip to finish off the job! Now you can quickly get ready for the day and not redo your eye makeup like a bajillion times.
A satin-lined Hairbrella perfect for protecting your hair in the case that the weather has a mind of its own and doesn't take into account that you JUST did your hair. This keeps your hair dry during rainy, snowy, or humid days and the satin ensures that you aren't left with any frizz once you take this off!
A beloved tightening cream with caffeine, coconut oil, and guarana extract, which all make a lovely combo to help smooth, firm, and add a glow to your skin. You know it's actually worth buying because even the 10-year-olds in Sephora go wild for this (and its matching body mist that comes in the same beloved salted caramel and vanilla scent).
A powerful 30% glycolic acid peel that helps remove dead skin cells and promotes cell turnover for a more plump, firm, and evened-out skin texture. It contains retinol, which is basically like the skincare community's holy grail ingredient for reducing the appearance of fine lines, but make sure to start out slow with this peel since it can make your skin more sensitive.
K18 — it does a stellar job at restoring moisture and softness to hair that has been through a lot, whether it's from bleaching or just frequent hot tool use. This reviewer says the leave-in reparative treatment is like "magic in a bottle!"
A Color Wow anti-humidity spray to give you that salon "wow" feeling at home, and for way cheaper. This fights off frizz and leaves you with silky-looking hair. And FYI, this spray is heat-activated, so it's ideal to use it on damp hair and blow-dry for best results.
A pair of exfoliating mitts you'll be able to see immediate results with, because dead skin will just clump up and roll right off your arms and legs. Reviewers have said that this helps with keratosis pilaris (those annoying red little bumps) and is a "miracle" for achieving smooth skin.
A scalp massager you can use in the shower to help exfoliate your head and make sure all that shampoo really gets into those roots. This little tool easily fits into the palm of your hand and some reviewers said they have even seen hair growth after using this over time.
A crème-to-powder waterproof eyeshadow stick if your second priority after serving a killer face card is an efficient makeup routine. This easy-to-use stick doesn't require a brush for application and will give you a pop of glow no matter what shimmery, matte, or metallic shade you choose.
A breathable Glossier skin tint with a lightweight formula to give you jussstttt enough coverage, without feeling cakey. It gives off a dewy finish and is infused with glycerin to help your skin feel super hydrated.
A splurge-worthy and dermatologist-recommended Elta MD tinted sunscreen — tried and true by so many that you'll want to incorporate it into your daily routine, even when the sun isn't out. This SPF 41 sunscreen has matte finish and has an oil-free formula that helps protect against breakouts (making it perfect for acne-prone skin).

Actually, your presence doesn't count as a wedding gift

When Brooke Bowman Boone, 29, got married in January, it was the day of her dreams. She carried a vibrant bouquet down the aisle toward her new husband, and her guests danced under disco balls all night. People still tell her it was one of the most fun weddings they'd ever attended. Months later, though, one thing still surprises the North Carolina native: 27 people — nearly 20% of her guest list — didn't bring a gift to celebrate her big day. "It was shocking," she said. "We couldn't even receive a card? That would have been nice. It just felt like a slap in the face." For better or worse, she's not the only bride facing a modern problem: giving and receiving wedding gifts has gotten complicated. Wedding guests are confused and overwhelmed Naturally, my colleagues and I were grumbling about a busy wedding season when we landed on the topic of gifts. While some of us were shelling out $300 cash alongside registry presents, others opted for $100 bills tucked into cards. We were, to say the least, concerned. Were some of us spending too little? Were others giving over-the-top gifts? At least we gave gifts, right? A quick social-media search showed we're not alone in our confusion. On TikTok, people have questioned if there's an average or "normal" amount of cash everyone should gift at weddings these days. Others on Reddit have asked where registry items enter the equation. Unfortunately, there's no clear winning answer among average internet users. Some commenters say $50 cash is sufficient, while others say your gift — whether in the form of money or a present — should cost no less than $500. Chelsea Fagan, the founder of The Financial Diet and author of " Having People Over," told Business Insider that the uncertainty partially stems from the modern "inflation of the entire wedding process." Whereas the average wedding was once small, local, and contained to a single day, it's now bigger, more luxurious, and comprised of multiple events, from multiday bachelor trips to welcome parties. "We're really opening our pockets to an unsustainable degree for weddings," the finance and etiquette writer said. In April, Credit Karma surveyed 1,106 American Gen Zers and millennials and found that 38% took on debt to attend weddings in the past year. BI has also reported that some people have spent over $10,000 to attend multiple ceremonies and receptions in less than three years. Gifts are only a small part of that equation, but they're expensive nonetheless. In an email to BI, Lauren Kay, the executive editor of The Knot, said a 2025 study from the publication shows that the average wedding guest spends $150 on a gift. Brides say they're getting the short end of the stick Bowman Boone and her husband lived together for more than two years before getting married, so they didn't need to put an extensive registry together. Instead, they asked guests to contribute to a honeymoon fund. While the couple was thrilled to receive many cash and online deposits, Bowman Boone said their guests' efforts mattered most. "We did have people [in different financial situations], and I didn't look at any of them differently if they didn't give us a financial or physical gift," she told BI. "At the end of the day, everyone coming to my wedding was a gift in itself," she added. "I wanted everyone we invited to be there and celebrate us." Still, it stung when some family members and guests arrived without cards. Bowman Boone said it felt like her efforts as a host hadn't been reciprocated, and she couldn't understand why. Brides on social media have expressed similar disappointments after their weddings. "When we had 120 people at our wedding and we only received 12 cards and four gifts," one TikToker said in a recent viral video. Lauren Ladouceur attends weddings for a living. She's a leader in destination-wedding content creation, which involves attending weddings all over the world to capture high-quality iPhone content that couples can post on their social media pages. She told BI that no matter why some guests choose not to give gifts, it can still bother brides and grooms — sometimes even before their wedding day. "I've had couples come to me and say, 'How do I get people to donate to my honeymoon fund? How do I get people to buy from my registry? Nothing's coming in,'" Ladouceur said. "As we've moved away from tradition, which I ultimately think is a good thing, that transactional side to weddings is an unintended consequence." There's a solution, and both parties have a role Maybe unsurprisingly, every person I spoke with felt differently about what to gift, when to present it, and how much to spend. However, there seemed to be a few general rules of thumb that would be helpful to follow. Fagan said couples getting married should stay "conscientious about what they're asking of people" and consider how expensive weddings are to attend, especially if a guest is in their bridal party or attending other weddings that year. "You have every right to ask for everything you want, but your guests also have a right to say no," she said. For wedding guests, give what you can and don't worry about following popular societal rules, like matching the cost of your food at a wedding. "Your $150 is not covering your plate, just in terms of what weddings cost in any high-cost-of-living city, which I think is most cities these days," Ladouceur said. Fagan added: "For every aspect of wedding attendance, you need to be very candid about what you can and can't do, and not feel guilty for setting reasonable boundaries around your finances." If you're traveling to attend a wedding, she said it's sufficient to hand-make a gift or simply give a card — so long as your care and efforts are clear. What couples ultimately want, Ladouceur said, is "to know you're excited for them." "It's less that people remember what gift you gave, and more that they remember how you showed up for them," she added.

Revealed: Yasmin from Love Island's friend has finally shared why her posture is so good

Since Yasmin Pettet made her Love Island debut a few weeks ago, viewers haven't stopped talking about her insane posture. Some fans were even convinced she might be AI because of how straight her back is while sitting and walking. Her friend has now revealed the secret behind her impeccable posture, and it's none other than pilates - (knew I should have stuck with my classes!). The friend, called Megi, posted a Pilates studio clip of herself, Yasmin, and another friend on TikTok, alongside the caption: "I still look like the hunchback next to her tho." She added: "YasGPT secret to that perfect posture." Pilates is known for strengthening your core by targeting deep abdominal and back muscles, improving stability and support for your spine. This leads to better posture and helps your body maintain proper alignment - see Yasmin. The 24-year-old commercial banking executive has been nicknamed YasGPT by fans of the show, after a wild theory emerged that she's actually AI due to her straight posture and monotone voice. "Yasmin has such good posture, she makes me want to stand up every time! #LoveIsland #LoveIslandUK," one viewer wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "Yasmin's posture is so good," another said. "Yasmin just made me sit up straight, her posture is the best I've ever seen," a third wrote. "YasGPT's posture is truly inspiring #LoveIsland #LoveIslandUK," another fan wrote sharing a picture of season five's Ovie Soko looking mesmerised. The rest of the Love Island 2025 cast have also noticed, with Giorgio recently complimenting her, saying: "I think you've got incredible posture… but you're lovely as well." During Monday night's heart race challenge, Emily could be heard shouting: "Put that great posture on them," as Yasmin performed for the boys, raising both Dejon and Girogio's hearts the most. New episodes of Love Island air on ITV2 on weekdays and Sundays at 9pm.

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Princess Kate's "aura" at red carpet events went viral on TikTok as fans praised her handling of an unexpected etiquette breach by Tom Cruise. The Princess of Wales was arriving for the London premiere of Top Gun: Maverick with husband Prince William and Cruise, who stars in the movie, in May 2022. Cruise, no doubt wanting to be gentlemanly, offered Kate a hand to help her up the stairs Princess Kate is seen [L] at the EE British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Albert Hall, in London, England, on February 10, 2019, and [R} at the 'Top Gun: Mavertick' Royal Film Performance at... More Samir Hussein/WireImage Why It Matters The video was liked 26,600 times and watched 507,000 times after it was posted with the caption: "Real aura." What to Know The TikTok post starts with footage of Kate wearing a black-and-white off-the-shoulder gown by Roland Mouret, exuding Hollywood glamour, at the Top Gun: Maverick premiere in London in May 2022. A notable moment occurred when Cruise offered his hand to assist her up the stairs, a gesture that sparked discussions about royal protocol and highlighted her composed response. Once at the top of the stairs, Kate can be seen saying "thank you," indicating her desire to have her hand back, before switching her clutch bag in order to stop him taking her by the hand again. At the time, Dr. Erin Watson, a Sky News Australia contributor, wrote on X: "Kate Middleton then immediately switched her clutch so he didn't touch her again as she went up the next set of stairs like a total #bossroyal who wasn't going to be touched by Tom Cruise." "Kate Middleton is all of us strategically shifting our clutch because someone thinks they can touch you but #nope," she added. The next clip showed Kate at the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2019 in a one-shouldered white Alexander McQueen gown, complemented by pearl and diamond drop earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana. Her ensemble was praised, with news reports noting the ethereal quality of her outfit. The final clip in the video was not from the red carpet but rather from a particularly poignant appearance at Wimbledon in July 2024, months after she began chemotherapy for cancer that February. Kate's attendance at the tournament had been in doubt after her retreat from public life while she focused on her health but she made it and was rewarded with a standing ovation from tennis fans. Alongside Princess Charlotte, Kate stunned in a regal purple Safiyaa dress, one of the colors associated with the tennis tournament. What People Are Saying One fan wrote on TikTok, "can't wait for them to become king and Queen" while another said: "When you walk into a room and everyone stops what they are doing to look." A third wrote: "Notice how Princess Catherine changes hand for her clutch bag so Tom Cruise can't hold her hand again up the next flight of stairs. Savvy lady. "He was only being a gent BUT, While there's no official rule against it, the 'unwritten rule' suggests avoiding physical contact beyond a handshake with members of the royal family."
