Ltd (National Paints), a paints and coatings manufacturer in the region. Under the agreement, the station will be renamed National Paints Metro Station for a 10-year period.
The move comes as part of the RTA's ongoing Metro Station Naming Rights initiative, aimed at creating long-term brand partnerships through high-visibility urban infrastructure. The deal was formalised between National Paints and Hypermedia, with Mada Media acting as the authorised concessionaire under its existing agreement with the RTA.
Strategically located in Jebel Ali Free Zone, the metro station sits at the heart of one of Dubai's key industrial corridors. For National Paints, the location presents a unique opportunity to strengthen its brand presence in a dynamic, high-traffic environment.
Speaking on the announcement, Abdul Mohsen Kalbat, CEO of the RTA's Rail Agency, said, 'We are delighted to have National Paints join the Metro Station Naming Rights Initiative. The inclusion of this prestigious global company undoubtedly demonstrates the remarkable success achieved by this initiative, which had attracted diverse companies and establishments from the business sector across the UAE as a whole.'
He added that the partnership aligns with the government's broader ambition to engage private sector players in impactful public infrastructure branding opportunities, creating reciprocal value and stimulating local economic growth.
Mohamad Al Hammadi, CEO of Mada Media, called the partnership 'a new milestone' in RTA's vision of transforming metro stations into 'powerful commercial and advertising landmarks.'
'Through naming rights, we're not just creating visibility, we're building strategic brand presence in high-impact urban touchpoints,' he said, adding that transit media has become a powerful tool for consumer engagement.
Samer Sayegh, Managing Director and Partner of National Paints, described the move as part of the company's ongoing investment in the UAE's evolving urban landscape, 'We are proud to partner with RTA, to secure the naming rights of a metro station that stands as a key connector in Dubai's world-class transportation network.'
He emphasised that the agreement reflects the paint manufacturer's long-standing commitment to innovation, sustainability and the communities it serves, reinforcing the brand's regional leadership.
Habib Wehbi, Chairman and Group CEO of W Group Holding, commented on the naming: 'When public ambition meets private vision, cities evolve, and value is created on every level. Through our long-standing partnership with RTA, we're not just naming metro stations; we're placing brands at the intersection of movement, commerce, and daily life in one of the world's most dynamic cities. This isn't simply an advertising opportunity; it's urban storytelling with real economic impact. Dubai continues to lead by example, proving that collaboration between government and business is not only possible, but essential to shaping smarter, more connected communities.'
Founded in 1969 in Jordan and headquartered in Sharjah since 1977, National Paints has played a significant role in the region's economic development and urban growth.
The RTA confirmed that updates to station signage, onboard announcements, and digital applications will take place between July and October 2025, officially completing the station's transformation to National Paints Metro Station.
