, Phypers has filed to dissolve their marriage, with papers sent to the court on July 7.
Denise Richards was married to Aaron Phypers for six years prior to the divorce.
In the paperwork, he listed 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the couple's split, and marked their separation date as July 4.
He is also seeking spousal support from Richards.
The now former couple had been married for six years, tying the knot in 2018. They do not share any children together.
Richards has not shared any statements on social media, but did share a post on the date of her listed separation from Phypers of herself on a beach, wearing a red, white, and blue bikini.
'Red, white, and a little bit ooh la la,' she captioned the photo.
The Irish Star has reached out to Richard's rep for a request for comment.
The news comes after he also played a role on Richards' latest show on Bravo, Denise Richards and Her Wild Things, which debuted its first season in March and ended its run in April.
The show followed Richards as she navigated work and family life, specifically with Phyper, as well as her daughters, Lola and Sammi Sheen, and Eloise Richards.
The series featured an episode that saw Richards and Phypers celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary together on camera.
Prior to Phypers, Richards was married to Sheen from 2002-2006.
Phypers, meanwhile, was married to Desperate Housewives' Nicolette Sheridan from 2015-2018.

The contentious adult star, who has been banned from OnlyFans, a football stadium and Australia due to her extreme and potentially hazardous sex stunts, vanished from the social media platform today, with her previously verified account being inaccessible for several hours. This isn't the first time Bonnie has gone missing from Instagram. Earlier this year, her account on the Meta-owned platform went dark, as did her TikTok page. The star's Instagram has now dramatically reappeared, but it remains unclear whether it was temporarily banned or removed by Bonnie herself. I just said: 'Hey, I'm going to be at the Nottingham game'. "When you go to football, you've got football hooligans, people fighting, drinking, you've got so much bigger things to be concerned about, and they were just like - no, you're banned." Bonnie is also barred from Australia following her intentions to sleep with 18 year old lads for content during 'Schoolies Week', which enraged Australian parents. A 20,000-signature petition followed, resulting in her visa being cancelled. Whether Bonnie has been suspended from Instagram remains to be confirmed.
