Dennis Quaid, 71, gives rare insight into 39-year age gap with wife Laura Savoie, 32
'My life is paradise,' Quaid, 71, told Fox News Digital when asked what he loves most about his wife, Laura Savoie, 34. 'Every day is paradise with her. It really is.'
'It's the closest relationship I've ever had with anybody,' the 'Parent Trap' actor went on. 'Every day is paradise. What can I tell you? I don't know why God had waited so long to bring her, for her to come along, but [I'm] really glad he brought her into my life, or I walked into hers.'

The couple, who have a 39-year age gap, tied the knot in a Santa Barbara, California, ceremony in 2020. They first met in 2019 while at a business event and got engaged in Hawaii that year.
Quaid told Extra at the time that the proposal 'happened on the very northernmost point of Oahu, at Turtle Bay.'

'It was kind of spontaneous. It was very much a surprise,' the 'Reagan' vet continued. 'I had the ring in my pocket… It has been kind of a month-and-a-half plan… I wanted it to be private.'
Quaid added that Savoie was 'actually taking a selfie of us, and I put the ring in front and said, 'Will you marry me?''
After their wedding, the star couldn't help but gush over his special day.

'It was beautiful,' Quaid told People about their nuptials. 'Just looking into her eyes, she was the most stunning bride.'
'I just love who she is as a person,' he went on. 'Her character, her intelligence, of course, her beauty. And her point of view of the world.'
Savoie, for her part, echoed her husband's sentiments, stating, '[I have] never met someone who is so in love with life. It's like nothing can bring him down. Just getting to do life with someone who lives that way is inspiring for me. It changes my perspective and it brings so much joy to every day.'

And just last year, Quaid made it clear he doesn't notice the age difference between the pair.
'I haven't spoken out about the age difference of my wife,' he said to Fox News Digital. 'Other people have. But…I really don't think about it. She's got so much going on that, you know, I just don't notice it. She's just, she's the light of my life.'
'I wasn't looking for it, and she came along, and it's God put us together.'

Following Quaid's 2019 engagement to the Texas McCombs School of Business alum, he admitted to The Guardian that the chatter around their age difference was 'really a laugh.'
'I didn't go out looking for an age gap or someone really younger than me. I met her at a business event and then the relationship developed,' he expressed. 'You have no control over who you fall in love with. I don't fall in love easy. But I can't let what a few people think control all that. I've been married three times and this is the final one, I know it is. I feel like I have a real partner in life.'

Quaid was previously married to actress P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983. He then tied the knot with Meg Ryan in 1991. The exes welcomed son Jack, 33, before splitting in 2001.

In 2004, Quaid married real estate broker Kimberly Buffington. They welcomed twins Thomas and Zoe, 17, in 2007.

The pair divorced in 2018.
In July 2023, Quaid opened up about fatherhood, telling People he is a 'dorky dad.'
'I love being a dad. I really do. I think I'm a good dad,' he said. 'It turned out so far so good. Jack really turned out well. I'm really proud of him, and Thomas and Zoe too.'

Christina Applegate gets choked up over daughter: ‘She misses who I was before MS'
Christina Applegate is sharing a heartbreaking truth about life with multiple sclerosis. The 'Dead to Me' actress, 53, revealed how her 14-year-old daughter Sadie, whom she shares with her husband Martyn LeNoble, is dealing with her health battle. 'I don't get up in the morning with that, I get up because of her [my daughter],' Applegate said on Wednesday's episode of Kelly Ripa's 'Let's Talk Off Camera' podcast alongside Jamie-Lynn Sigler. 'She's the reason I'm still here and trying.' 10 Christina Applegate and Sadie Grace LeNoble. Getty Images 'But she did say to me, and we got into a big thing the other day, and sorry, Sadie, but it has to be said. She said, 'I missed who you were before you got sick,'' the 'Married… with Children' alum confessed. Applegate, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, noted that hearing her daughter's words stung. 'That is just like a knife to the heart because I miss who I was before I got sick, too,' she elaborated. 'Very much. Every day of my life is at such a loss.' 10 Christina Applegate and daughter, Sadie LeNoble pose before attending the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. Getty Images for ABA 'But anyway, see, now I'm gonna cry,' she told Ripa, 54. 'See, this is my problem. I'm either like, extremely traumatic and crying, or I'm cracking myself up. So I'm never in between.' Sigler, 44, meanwhile, has lived with MS since the age of 20 and couldn't agree more with Applegate's sentiments. 'That's the truth. It's how it is. Those words have gone through my own head. I think I judge myself the most as a mother through this journey,' the 'Sopranos' star, who shares sons Beau, 11, and Jack, 7, with husband Cutter Dykstra, admitted. 10 Christina Applegate and Sadie Grace LeNoble pose for photos with Applegate's Hollywood Walk of Fame star. AFP via Getty Images 'I think that's been the hardest part for me. I have two children who react to it in two very different ways. My older son, he looks at me all, 'You're gonna beat this thing one day, Mom.' He's like my own personal 'Ted Lasso,'' she continued. 'He congratulates me all the time for how hard I work. He tells me I'm doing amazing. He's my cheerleader.' Sigler's youngest child, on the other hand, holds a different perspective. 'My little one hates it. He's mad that I can't run like all the other moms. He points it out all the time. Why do I walk like an old lady? That's what he says. Or like, why I can do this and I can't do that. And I think that's very healthy and I welcome it.' 10 Christina Applegate receives her star on the Walk Of Fame. Getty Images for Netflix Sigler explained that her kids are allowed to have their own feelings about her diagnosis. 'I want him to be able to express himself with me,' she stressed. 'I don't want him to feel bad because of how he feels about this, because this affects our entire family. My husband has to make sacrifices every day. So do my kids for me, so do I. I'm the mom they chose and that's what I have to remind myself all the time.' Sigler and Applegate have opened up about living with the disease since starting their 'MeSsy' podcast in 2024. 10 Christina Applegate and daughter Sadie LeNoble celebrate 'Halloween Time' with Minnie Mouse. Getty Images During a March episode, the 'Samantha Who?' alum got candid on an 'unimaginable' health situation. 'For three years, since I was diagnosed, I've been in the hospital upwards of 30 times from throwing up and diarrhea and pain,' Applegate began. 'That is unimaginable, OK? They've done every test known to man on me, put so much radiation into my body from CT scans to everything else.' The Emmy winner was finally able to get to the bottom of the issue. Applegate then advised the listener who wrote in and asked about these MS side effects. 10 Christina Applegate attends the 28th Annual Critics Choice Awards. Getty Images for Critics Choice Association 'Now, maybe this isn't what's happening, but I'm just going to tell you this. Talk to your doctor about motility issues, OK,' she noted. 'Because one of the things with MS is that it slows down our organs, you know, not like completely, but there is a slowing of the function of your organs.' 'I have noticed that — and I'm going to be really honest — if I have to poop, I puke,' Applegate shared. 'My neuro doesn't — God bless her — says that's not an MS thing.' However, the actress isn't sure she's right. 10 Christina Applegate in 'Dead to Me.' AP 'So, I'm sorry, there's got to be a correlation here, and I'm not a doctor. I'm not giving medical advice. I'm just saying, just think about that, OK? Because I'm in the middle of the same exact situation, and it f—ing sucks, and it's scary.' Applegate sarcastically added that her 'favorite part' about having multiple sclerosis is simultaneously having diarrhea and vomiting. The star was filming the third and final season of her Netflix comedy 'Dead to Me' when she received her MS diagnosis. 10 Christina Applegate in 'Samantha Who?' ABC 'Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It's been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition,' she wrote on X at the time. 'It's been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some asshole blocks it.' In 2024, Sigler reflected on being diagnosed in the early 2000s. 'Immediately after the neurologist diagnosed me, they said, 'I want you to know you can live a very full, healthy life. You can have children—you can still be an actress.' I held deeply onto that, but I just went home with my parents and I didn't talk about my condition again for a very long time,' she told Self Magazine. 10 Christina Applegate, Katey Sagal, Ed O'Neill, David Faustino, Lucky the Dog in 'Married… With Children.' 'Someone close to me said that it probably wouldn't be a good idea to share because no one in my industry had MS. I didn't know any young people with it,' Sigler added. At the time, she 'lived in a state of denial.' 'I was very immature,' Sigler admitted, 'but I was just doing the best I could in that moment. I also wasn't too symptomatic in those early stages, so I was able to get away with not opening up about my diagnosis—or even taking my medications.' 10 Christina Applegate in 1988. Columbia Pictures Television 'I felt like if I didn't talk about my MS, it wasn't real. That mentality really hurt me for a long time and added an unnecessary layer of suffering on top of what I was already going through.' Diddy's legal team demands rapper's release, argues ‘swingers lifestyle' is no reason to keep him behind bars
Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team demanded the disgraced music mogul be released from jail Tuesday. Combs remained behind bars following his July 2 conviction on federal charges of transportation to engage in prostitution. Now, his legal team has made another plea for the rapper to be released until his Oct. 3 sentencing hearing. The "I'll Be Missing You" rapper was acquitted of his most serious charges – racketeering and sex trafficking. Lawyers for Combs argued his "swingers" lifestyle with his ex-girlfriends was not enough to keep him locked up following his acquittal. "This was a lifestyle, one that both Ms. Ventura and Jane chose. One they all – as grown adults – had a right to choose," the petition for release, obtained by Fox News Digital, read. "Like many aspects of sex and intimacy, it was not without its complications, its bouts of jealousy, and, at times, its frustrations. But that is a hallmark of any serious romantic relationship, and that is what these were, serious, long-term romantic relationships." His lawyers claimed the underlying facts of Combs' case have made the continued prosecution and incarceration of the rapper "unique." "There has literally never been a case like this one, where a person and his girlfriend arranged for adult men to have consensual sexual relations with the adult long-term girlfriend as part of a demonstrated 'swingers' lifestyle and has been prosecuted and incarcerated under the Mann Act," the letter added. Judge Arun Subramanian rejected Combs' $1 million proposed bail package immediately following his conviction. The federal judge claimed Combs' violence in his personal relationships, that Combs owned up to, was a contributing factor to his reasoning for keeping the rapper behind bars. According to Judge Subramanian, there would be no way to guarantee the safety of others should the musician be released. For his latest attempt, Combs' legal team proposed a $50 million bail package secured by his Miami mansion located on Star Island. They noted the rapper would be limited to traveling in the Southern District of Florida, the Southern District of New York for attorney meetings, plus the airports necessary to travel between the two. Combs would also give up his passport. "Sean Combs should not be in jail for this conduct," the lawyers emphasized. "In fact, he may be the only person currently in a United States jail for being any sort of john, and certainly the only person in jail for hiring adult male escorts for him and his girlfriend, when he did not even have sex with the escort himself." WATCH: DIDDY'S LEGAL TEAM WON'T STOP UNTIL HE WALKS A 'FREE MAN,' LAWYER SAYS During a press conference following the verdict, his lead counsel, Marc Agnifilo, boasted that the team wasn't going to stop until Combs walks out a free man to his family. "We are not nearly done fighting. We are just getting started," Agnifilo said outside the courthouse earlier this month. "To win this and to defeat the prosecutors from the Southern District of New York takes effort from beginning to end. Today was a major, major step in the right direction. But we fight on and we're going to win, and we're not going to stop until he walks out of prison a free man to his family."
