Mohit Suri Called Ahaan Panday ‘Fraud' After Saiyaara Shoot Ended: ‘He Sent His Bad Auditions…'
Last Updated: Saiyaara director Mohit Suri jokingly admitted if he had seen Ahaan Panday's over-the-top audition videos before casting him, he might have reconsidered the decision. Saiyaara director Mohit Suri recently shared a hilarious anecdote about Ahaan, revealing that the actor sent him all his 'bad auditions' after wrapping up Saiyaara shoot. These video clips featured his 'over-the-top' dialogues, and Ahaan showed the videos to Mohit Suri, playfully telling him 'You've cast this boy!' The filmmaker jokingly admitted that had he seen those videos before casting Ahaan, he might have reconsidered the decision. He playfully called Ahaan a 'fraud' for keeping those over-the-top auditions hidden until filming wrapped. While speaking with Zoom, Saiyaara director Mohit Suri said, 'After the last day of his shoot got over, he (Ahaan Panday) sent me all his bad auditions. He said, 'Tell me something, bro. You've cast this boy." (laughs) If I would have seen those auditions, I would have probably not cast him. He's doing every over-the-top dialogue possible." Mohit Suri revealed that Ahaan is an ardent fan of Govinda, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ranbir Kapoor. 'He knows he is not good in them. But he purposely shared them saying, 'You've cast this boy!" After the shoot is over." When asked what he told Ahaan after watching the videos, Mohit Suri replied, 'I said you are a fraud. And some swear words." Meanwhile, he also opened up about Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor's support for Saiyaara, calling it 'biased" — and saying it means even more to him when audiences embrace the film too. 'Those two are biased also. Dono teaser se hi film ko support kar rahe the (They have been supporting the film since the teaser). They are biased towards me but to see the rest of the world love it the same way, as they have, is more important also," he said. Mohit's latest film Saiyaara, featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, follows a lyricist and singer navigating love, art, and emotion. Released on 18 July, the film has earned nearly Rs 300 crore in India thanks to its soulful music and heartfelt storytelling. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Dhadak 2 Box Office Day 3: Siddhant Chaturvedi-Triptii Dimri Film Sees Drop, Mints Only Rs 11 Crore
Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, earned Rs 11.50 crore in its first three days. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, it faces tough competition from other films. Dhadak 2 Box Office Collection Day 3: Despite walking in with high hopes and critical love, Dhadak 2 seems to be facing a bit of a box office heartbreak. Starring the much-buzzed-about pair of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, the film hit theatres on August 1 after several delays. It had solid expectations, especially as a remake of the acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. However, the numbers haven't quite matched the hype. According to Sacnilk, Dhadak 2 has collected just over Rs 11 crore in its first three days. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film follows a new love story and is a spiritual follow-up to the 2018 movie Dhadak, starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. According to the latest update from Sacnilk, Dhadak 2 earned Rs 4.25 crore on its third day in theatres. The film opened with Rs 3.5 crore on Friday and saw only a marginal rise on Saturday, collecting Rs 3.75 crore. With this, the film's total box office collection now stands at Rs 11.50 crore. Dhadak 2 is up against some tough box office contenders. Competing with Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2, the animated mythological film Mahavatar Narsimha, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's romantic drama Saiyaara, and Vijay Deverakonda's action-packed Kingdom, the Siddhant Chaturvedi-Triptii Dimri starrer is struggling to hold its ground. What's more, Saiyaara, now in its third week, outperformed Dhadak 2 even on Sunday, raking in Rs 8 crore on the day. The Mohit Suri directorial has now crossed the Rs 300 crore mark in India, officially earning blockbuster status. Dhadak 2 narrates the story of a law student who falls in love with his classmate, only to face harassment from her family due to caste differences. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, and backed by Dharma Productions, Zed Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, the romantic drama dives deep into themes of caste discrimination, love, and social resistance, offering a raw and emotionally charged cinematic experience. Alongside the lead pair, the film also features Zakir Hussain and Saurabh Sachdeva in pivotal roles. She Got The Wrong Parcel In 2015, Opened It In 2025. Wrapped Inside Was Nostalgia
Last Updated: A woman opened a parcel she'd left unopened for 10 years after receiving the wrong order. What she found inside has captivated millions on social media In a world where next-day delivery is the norm, most of us would struggle to leave a parcel unopened for more than a few hours, let alone 10 years. But that's exactly what one woman did after receiving the wrong order from an online fashion retailer. Told to keep the package, she tucked it away and forgot about it. Now, nearly a decade later, her decision to finally open it sparked curiosity and amusement across social media, offering a nostalgic glimpse into mid-2010s fashion and raising a few unexpected questions. A peculiar story has captured the attention of social media users: a woman recently opened a parcel that had been delivered back in 2015 or 2016, which she had kept unopened for nearly a decade. Instagram user Jess, known online as @sideofsequins, posted a video revealing the long-forgotten delivery. The clip has since racked up millions of views. [ Watch the video here ] The Wrong Parcel, But No Need To Return It! In the video, Jess explains that she originally ordered clothes from the fashion brand Missguided in 2015. However, she received the wrong items. When she contacted the company, they responded, 'We don't want the parcel back; you can keep it." Rather than opening it at the time, Jess simply stored it away. Now, almost 10 years later, she finally decided to see what was inside. The first item she discovered was a voucher that had expired in 2016, confirming the year of the delivery. Next was a cream-coloured bodysuit with a tie detail. Jess laughed, saying, 'I don't know how to wear this. Now that I'm pregnant, I definitely can't wear it!" A Fashion Time Capsule As the video continues, Jess unveils more items from the mystery parcel. She reveals a pencil skirt, likely intended to be part of a coordinated outfit, followed by another pencil skirt featuring a lace-up design. Other pieces included a white button-down top, a black shirt with lace accents, and a basic crop top. With amusement, Jess commented, 'Back in the mid-2010s, we were all dressing like we worked in an office by day and went clubbing by night. This is a snapshot of that era." The video has received 3.4 million views, drawing a wave of reactions. Many viewers were shocked that she hadn't opened the parcel sooner. One user remarked, 'As soon as they told you to keep it, why didn't you open it right away?" A Moment Of Reflection Jess closed the video with some poignant thoughts: 'I wonder who these clothes were actually meant for. Where was that woman planning to wear them? Did I ever get my original order? And did she get hers?" view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive.
