Hear a new story about Boston Celtics Sixth Man Payton Pritchard's absurd work ethic
Most fans of the Boston Celtics know all about 2025 Sixth Man of the Year candidate Payton Pritchard's outrageous work ethic, but we just stumbled across a story about Fast PP that takes that aspect of his personality to an entirely different level of basketball sicko.
It came up in a recent piece by longtime Celtics beat writer Jay King, and the hosts of the CLNS Media "How Bout Them Celtics!" podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk it over. What is this new wrinkle to the man's obsessive love for basketball, you ask?
You will just have to watch the clip embedded below for yourself to find out.

Where Boston Celtics alumni are signing overseas

With more of the month of August behind us than in front, the 2025 NBA offseason is most of the way over. But there are still a few more weeks left in this month, with September and most of October ahead of us. With that much time having passed since the end of the last season, most players have found their home for the coming campaign ahead. Among them are a number of Boston Celtics alumni, latching on to ball clubs in other leagues when an NBA home is not in the cards at their respective stages of their careers. Keeping track of all the former Boston players still suiting up but not in the Association can be a hard row to hoe, but our sister site put together a list of overseas signings we're leaning on to help make that task easier. Let's take a look at where the wider Celtics diaspora is landing for the season soon to arrive. Evan Fournier - Olympiacos - Extended until 2027-28 Lamar Stevens - Paris Basketball - Signed for 2025-26 Ben Bentil - Mersin MSK - Signed for 2025-26 Mfiondu Kabengele - BC Dubai - Signed until 2026-27 Oshae Brissett - Maccabi Tel Aviv - Signed until 2026-27 Carsen Edwards - Virtus Bologna - Signed for 2025-26 Ante Zizic - Besiktas JK - Signed for 2025-26 Brodric Thomas - Fighting Eagles Nagoya - Signed for 2025-26 Juwan Morgan - KK Buducnost - Re-signed for 2025-26 Listen to "Havlicek Stole the Pod" on: Spotify: iTunes: YouTube:

Knicks Linked to Possible Late NBA Free Agency Splash

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The New York Knicks have had an interesting NBA offseason thus far. After coming up short in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Indiana Pacers, some changes were made by management. First and foremost, the Knicks decided to move on from former head coach Tom Thibodeau. Despite having a lot of success while leading the team, Thibodeau simply could not get over the hump. New York chose to go in a different direction. To replace Thibodeau, the Knicks landed on Mike Brown. He'll bring a different philosophy that will rely much heavier on a full rotation as opposed to riding the starters as much as New York has in recent years. One name to keep an eye on could be veteran point guard Malcolm Brogdon. David Vertsberger of SNY has suggested that Brogdon could be a potential target for the Knicks. He would bring in the ability to score, create for teammates, and be a steady veteran leader off of the bench. "If the Knicks have any reservations, signing Brogdon would be a nice insurance policy on their backcourt options. Like Simmons, he's likely past his prime but can provide some reliable playmaking," Vertsberger wrote. "Unlike Simmons, he's only two years removed from winning Sixth Man of the Year and currently has some more credible NBA skills. Brogdon is a career 38.8 percent shooter from three and has evolved into more of a distributor in his last few seasons." Brogdon was unable to play much last season with the Washington Wizards due to injuries. He averaged 12.7 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game in 24 appearances and 13 starts. It wouldn't be a "flashy" move for New York, but Brogdon is the definition of solid. He would be well worth picking up for the Knicks. Boston Celtics jersey history No. 30 - Theodore Edwards (1994-95)

The Boston Celtics have had players suiting up in a total of 68 different jersey numbers (and have three others not part of any numerical series) since their founding at the dawn of the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- the league that would become today's NBA), worn by well over 500 players in the course of Celtics history. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Celtics Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. With 25 of those jerseys now retired to honor some of the greatest Celtics to wear those jerseys, there is a lot of history to cover. And for today's article, we will continue with the fifth of 15 people to wear the No. 30, Boston wing alum Theodore Edwards. After ending his college career at East Carolina University, Edwards was picked up with the 21st overall selection of the 1989 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. The Washington, District of Columbia native also played for the Milwaukee Bucks before he was dealt to Boston in 1994. His stay with the team would span just 31 games before he was dealt back to the Jazz in 1995. During his time suiting up for the Celtics, Edwards wore only jersey No. 30 and put up 7.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. All stats and data courtesy of Basketball Reference.
