Livvy Dunne stuns fans with sexual reference about herself and Madelyn Cline

Daily Mirror20-06-2025
Livvy Dunne is a former gymnast and model who is best known for her relationship with baseball star Paul Skenes - and she left fans shocked on Friday with a social media post
Livvy Dunne, sent social media into a frenzy on Friday with a risqué comment concerning herself and actress Madelyn Cline. The former LSU gymnast is known for her bikini snaps on social media - as well as dating Pittsburgh Pirates star Paul Skenes - but boasts a relatively clean-cut image.
Not this time however. While she may usually be reserved in her interactions with fans, one comment on Friday was quite a departure from the norm.

The interaction began when a Twitter user referred to the upcoming College World Series between LSU and Coastal Carolina as the 'Madelyn Cline vs Livvy Dunne Bowl' - due to the duo's affiliations with the rival schools.

The relatively innocent comment then took a turn into an unexpected direction when Dunne responded: 'Gooner World Series'.
Her followers were left stunned. One response declared: "Had to check three times this wasn't a parody account".
A second questioned the reference by the gymnastics star turned Sports Ilustrated cover model, declaring simply: "This can't be real."
A third asked: "She get hacked???" while a fourth said simply: "This is crazy work."
A fifth declared: "Ain't no damn way the word gooner is being thrown around like this".
It went out to her 186k followers on the social media website and at the time of writing had been viewed 1.9million times, generating 21k likes in less than two hours.

Cline is best known for her role in the Netflix series Outer Banks. The South Carolina native briefly attended Coastal Carolina University before dropping out to pursue acting in LA.
Model Dunne recently made her runway debut in Miami Beach on May 31, leaving fans gobsmacked as she performed the splits. And she has shown herself more than adept at holding her own on social media when combatting trolls - as well as using humour when engaging with fans - as her fame grows as one part of America's fastest-growing power couple.
While Pirates pitcher Skenes was in action against Detroit Tigers this week, the Tigers mascot - appropriately a tiger - held up a cheeky sign behind home plate that was clearly visible to the pitcher. It read: 'Sup Livvy Dunne.'
"Sorry... not my type of tiger," she posted on X with an equally witty retort.

Bikini-clad Livvy Dunne shows off her flexibility in stunning new pictures from Georgia lake trip

Livvy Dunne may have retired from gymnastics in April, but the former LSU star showed that she hasn't lost any flexibility as she shared a series of pictures from her Georgia lake trip. After traveling to Montauk with her MLB boyfriend Paul Skenes last month, Dunne has been spending time in Lake Oconee with her sister Julz and other friends. And the national champion gymnast showed off her skills in one photo posted to her Instagram, as she performed a handstand on the dock while wearing a leopard-print bikini. In other photos which made up the carousel post to her feed, Dunne could be seen smiling as she posed by the water in a blue swimsuit, while she and her sister Julz embraced each other in another picture. Dunne even tried her hand at water skiing, as she posted an action shot of her holding on for dear life. She captioned her post: 'The summer I turned into a lake girl.' The snaps surfaced on Saturday after Dunne shared a similarly happy picture to her story on Friday, as she beamed at the camera while sitting at a lakeside cabin. Earlier in the week, the social media influencer made headlines when she weighed in on one of the internet's most viral moments - Taylor Swift's appearance on the 'New Heights' podcast, hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce. Swift, who has faced backlash from some male NFL fans for the screen time she received while cheering on boyfriend Travis during Chiefs games, leaned into the criticism during the show. 'I think we all know that if there's one thing that male sports fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens - it's more of me,' the pop icon joked. Dunne reposted the clip to her story, adding 'She gets it' - signaling her support for Swift's response. It's been several months since Dunne - who had been a fifth-year senior at LSU - formally announced her emotional retirement from gymnastics. In a video released by LSU, she narrated: 'Time flies when you're having fun. Something said when you're enjoying yourself to the point time seems to slip away from you. And that's exactly how the past 20 years in this sport have felt. She even tried her hand at water skiing and posted and action shot of her holding on 'The highs, the lows, making the USA national team and competing for our country, every risk was worth the reward. Finishing my career over the past five years of the best university in the world has been an incredible journey, and I'm forever grateful.' She continued: 'Gymnastics, you have filled my heart and shaped be a part of me. You've shaped me into the person I am today, creating memories and sisterhoods that will last a life support. You are my first love. 'To my family, especially my parents. Thank you for everything, for supporting me through it all, and to my childhood coaches from New Jersey and the LSU coaching staff, thank you for pushing me to be great. and yes, time did fly by, and I will cherish every memory for the rest of my life. 'Thank you for everything gymnastics. You were so good to me.' While Dunne will no longer be competing in gymnastics, she's remained around the sports world as she's cheered on her boyfriend Skenes - who is considered one of the best pitchers in baseball.

Sunday Brunch viewers issue same complaint minutes into Channel 4 show

Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy were back on Sunday Brunch presenting duty and welcomed a host of famous guests but the line-up didn't impress Channel 4 viewers watching at home Sunday Brunch viewers were all left saying the same thing minutes into the latest show. ‌ The Channel 4 programme returned on Sunday (August 17) with Tom Grennan, Caity Baser, Susie Dent, Alfie Allen, Conor MacNeill and Joy Crookes as guests. ‌ However, fans were left unimpressed with the line-up and rushed to social media to share their thoughts. ‌ Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "I know 3 of them, its a WR for me. #sundaybrunch." Another added: "#sundaybrunch @sundaybrunch Susie Dent is the only one I have heard of due to Countdown." A third person said: "I know 2 of them this week #sundaybrunch ." It comes after former EastEnders star Maisie Smith broke down in tears last week. The 24-year-old actress appeared on the show to promote her upcoming stint in a stage adaptation of The Talented Mr Ripley but was asked about various aspects of her life and career by hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer. ‌ However, as the pair grilled her about her time on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins back in 2022, Maisie found herself overcome with emotion as she watched back clips of the harrowing challenges. However, it seems three years on the memories are still fresh in the star's mind, and while she said it was "the best thing she's ever done" ‌ The former Strictly Come Dancing star said: "It was worse than you could even imagine. "When I watched it back, there's so much more that they didn't even show. "When we had mic packs, when they'd change the packs, you weren't allowed to talk. It was severe. There was never 'cut, cast can chill for a bit'. It was intense. Brutal." ‌ As Simon and Tim awkwardly rallied around her, she said: "I was so young. I was 19, and it was such a big challenge. I'm proud of myself." Sunday Brunch serves up its usual mix of culinary delights, banter and tunes every week and has been on television screens since 2012. Each programme features Simon cooking with Tim as host.
