Jessie J shares 'crazy' side-effect of breast cancer surgery in emotional video as fans send 'prayers'
The singer, 37, was diagnosed with early breast cancer in June and had a mastectomy and breast reconstruction that month.
She has since revealed she will need further surgery soon, days after being rushed to hospital with an infection and fluid in her lungs.
In a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, The Price Tag singer said she has been suffering with hair loss since the initial surgery.
'My hair has been falling out like crazy since the surgery. Five weeks today since my surgery and I'm feeling okay,' she shared.
'I've still got quite a lot of cording so that's my main focus.'
Cording, also known as Axillary Web Syndrome (AWS), is a condition where cord-like structures develop under the skin, usually in the inner arm, after breast cancer surgery.
It can feel like a tight band under the skin, causing pain and restricted movement in the arm and shoulder.
Jessie added: 'My boobs still aren't even, it's still so sore.'
The Bang Bang singer then shared her hopes for the future and her two-year-old son Sky.
'I'm just trying to figure out what the next six months will look like,' she said.
'I know I can't do everything that I was suppose to be doing but I just want to be able to make it work the best I can for everybody, me, Sky, my fans but in the right order.
'You are always gonna leave some people disappointed. My perspective on everything has changed so much.'
The London-born singer captioned the video, which was filmed two weeks ago: 'A minute and a bit of me being frantic and oversharing.'
Fans shared their support in the comments section.
'Seven weeks post surgery! Wow amazing praying for you!' one wrote and another enthused: 'Calm and considered. It's so admirable, you do you and what's meant to follow will follow.'
'We love you. Be kind to yourself and continue to carve out your definitions of happiness. Sending so much love to you and your family,' a third penned.
Jessie revealed last week that she has to undergo more surgery.
The Do It Like A Dude wrote on Instagram: 'I can rest, parent AND release new music.
'I didn't leave a major label after 18 years to be scared to re write the rules to fit around my life/health and just make it realistic on what I can deliver in all roles in my life.'
Confirming she will be going under the knife again, she added: 'Another surgery needed this year. I can do it.'
The singer welcomed her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023, having had a miscarriage in November 2021.
She has battled with ill-health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020.

Anthony Mackie on Filming 'Avengers: Doomsday' in London: 'A Lot of Sheep...It's Crazy'
Anthony Mackie gave fans a much-anticipated update on the state of filming for the 2026 movie Avengers: Doomsday. However, it was his comments about London, where filming is taking place, that may have taken the cake. During an interview with ScreenRant, Mackie was asked where things stand with filming and if it was close to wrapping. Not surprisingly, the Captain America actor kicked things off there by letting fans know they aren't even close to the final stretch of filming. Anthony Mackie Gives 'Avengers: Doomsday' Update, Also Can't Believe London's 'Crazy' Amount of Sheep If you thought that an Avengers: Doomsday filming update would never land in the same conversation as London's apparent overload of sheep, think again. While Mackie responded to the question of whether the Marvel film is close to wrapping with a blunt, "Absolutely no, hell no" response, he expanded a bit from there. "We're in the midst of such a big moving set piece, and it's such a big story," Mackie said. "Shooting a Marvel movie, the best part is it's always an ever-evolving canvas. There are those staple pieces, then there are the pieces that kind of circulate throughout the course of the it's going well." Mackie then proceeded to dive into how things are in London, by first stating that "London is so that's a thing." The Marvel star quickly shifted to his surprise at finding out how many sheep London has, and his priceless reaction was my favorite part of the clip, personally. "A lot of sheep. Who knew there were so many sheep in London?!" Mackie said. "There's a lot of sheep...a lot of sheep. It's crazy." To Mackie's credit, it's fair to assume he's logging heavy hours on the set for Avengers: Doomsday, so maybe he's just taking time to enjoy the small things around London—like the sheep. Marvel Yet to Address Several Unanswered Questions About 'Avengers: Doomsday' There's no shortage of excitement around Marvel's latest addition to the Avengers series, but there are many unanswered questions fans hope to get answers to. When Marvel unveiled the cast of Avengers: Doomsday on a roughly 5-6 hour live stream, speculation began that the entire list of names wasn't released. That belief was proven correct later, but Marvel still hasn't confirmed the full, lengthy list of names that'll appear. Among the specific names referenced frequently is a star currently filming his own superhero movie—Tom Holland and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Holland's name wasn't listed on the initial cast release for Avengers: Doomsday, and little information has been provided by Marvel thus far. There's still plenty of time to speculate on names and possible superhero cameos in the new film, as Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18, Mackie on Filming 'Avengers: Doomsday' in London: 'A Lot of Crazy' first appeared on Men's Journal on Aug 7, 2025 Solve the daily Crossword

‘Avengers' Star Anthony Mackie Seen Kissing 'Mystery Woman,' Fueling Girlfriend Speculation
While filming for the highly anticipated 2026 film Avengers: Doomsday rolls on in London, one of the film's biggest stars made some off-set news when spotted with a mystery woman on Wednesday, Aug. 13. Anthony Mackie, the new Captain America actor, made his debut in the role earlier in 2025 in the film Captain America: Brave New World. Although Mackie has teased small bits of Avengers: Doomsday, he appears to have used some downtime from filming to link up with a new potential interest. The photos/video that were released immediately sparked girlfriend rumors for the 46-year-old actor. Anthony Mackie Seen Getting Close With 'Mystery Woman' As seen in the photos above, Mackie was close with the new woman, who has yet to be identified. Shortly after the photos were released, a video surfaced that appeared to give a more detailed look at the pair. While little has been revealed about who the woman is, it's noteworthy as Mackie has largely kept his personal life private. Mackie was previously married in 2014 to longtime girlfriend and childhood sweetheart Sheletta Chapital, but the two divorced in 2018, so he's currently single. Anthony Mackie's Latest Updates on 'Avengers: Doomsday' Filming During a recent conversation with ScreenRant, Mackie gave an update on filming for Avengers: Doomsday. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, he revealed the movie is "absolutely" not close to wrapping up filming. "Absolutely no, hell no," Mackie replied when asked if filming was close to wrapping. "We're in the midst of such a big moving set piece, and it's such a big story," Mackie said. "Shooting a Marvel movie, the best part is it's always an ever-evolving canvas. There are those staple pieces, then there are the pieces that kind of circulate throughout the course of the it's going well." After initially setting a release date of May 1, 2026, Marvel moved the release date of Avengers: Doomsday back to Dec. 18, 2026. This will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars, which was also pushed back, and will now be released on Dec. 7, 2027, after being initially scheduled for May 7, 2027.'Avengers' Star Anthony Mackie Seen Kissing 'Mystery Woman,' Fueling Girlfriend Speculation first appeared on Men's Journal on Aug 14, 2025 Solve the daily Crossword

Police investigating Strictly 'drug use' claims
The Metropolitan Police has said it is investigating allegations of drug use on Strictly Come Dancing. In a statement, the Met said it had "received an allegation about drug related offences". "Police are assessing the information and further enquiries are taking place to establish whether there is evidence of a criminal offence being committed," it said. The BBC said it had "clear protocols and policies in place" for dealing with any serious complaints raised with it. The Met's involvement comes after the the BBC launched an investigation earlier this month into alleged drug use by two stars of the show, who have not been named. It followed a report in the Sun on Sunday, which said the alleged drug use by the stars was widely talked about on the show. BBC News understands the corporation has hired a law firm to help it carry out the probe. On Sunday, the Sun reported that the BBC had referred the matter to police. A Met spokesperson later confirmed that the force had "received an allegation about drug related offences" on Tuesday 12 August. The BBC said it would not comment on any police investigation. But it highlighted a previous statement which read: "We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. "We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further." Strictly, which has been airing since 2004, has faced multiple controversies over the past few years relating to the behaviour of some of its professionals and celebrity guests. It is believed, however, that this is the first time the BBC has been in contact with the police over allegations linked to the show.
