Report traffic violations in Delhi and win up to ₹50000 monthly with this app
Since its relaunch on September 1, 2024, the Traffic Prahari app has seen active participation from people across the city. Many users have formed groups on social media platforms like WhatsApp to coordinate their efforts, dividing the city into zones to cover more ground. Some have turned this into a steady source of income, particularly among those who are unemployed, by regularly reporting violations and earning monthly prizes.

How to Use the App
Anyone with an Android phone or iPhone can access the Traffic Prahari app by downloading it from the Google Play Store or App Store. After registration using a mobile number and OTP, users can upload photographs or videos of violations. The content must clearly show the timestamp and GPS location for the complaint to be considered.
Each submission is reviewed by the Delhi Traffic Police team. Once verified, a challan is sent to the offender. The department ensures all reports undergo careful scrutiny to prevent misuse or false claims.

The Traffic Prahari app builds on earlier efforts like the 2015 Traffic Sentinel Scheme but leverages new technology for a broader reach and better results. Delhi Police's Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), SK Singh, highlights that public involvement adds an important layer to traffic enforcement. The city's leadership, including Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena, has endorsed the app, viewing it as a positive step for road safety and civic participation.
In a city where traffic violations have long posed challenges, the Traffic Prahari app turns everyday smartphones into tools for improving road behaviour and offers citizens a chance to contribute while earning rewards.

Trump, Cook to announce Apple is investing another USD 100 billion in US
Agency: PTI Washington, Aug 6 (AP) Apple CEO Tim Cook is expected to join President Donald Trump at the White House on Wednesday to announce a commitment by the tech company to increase its investment in US manufacturing by an additional USD 100 billion over the next four years. As part of the Apple announcement, the investments will be about bringing more of its supply chain and advanced manufacturing to the United States as part of an initiative called the American Manufacturing Programme, but it is not a full commitment to build its popular iPhone device domestically. 'This includes new and expanded work with 10 companies across America. They produce components — semiconductor chips included — that are used in Apple products sold all over the world, and we're grateful to the President for his support," Cook said in a statement announcing the investment. The new manufacturing partners include Corning, Coherent, Applied Materials, Texas Instruments and Broadcom among others. Apple had previously said it intended to invest USD 500 billion domestically, a figure it will now increase to USD 600 billion. Trump in recent months has criticised the tech company and Cook for efforts to shift iPhone production to India to avoid the tariffs his Republican administration had planned for China. While in Qatar earlier this year, Trump said there was 'a little problem" with the Cupertino, California, company and recalled a conversation with Cook in which he said he told the CEO, 'I do not want you building in India." India has incurred Trump's wrath, as the president signed an order on Wednesday to put an additional 25 per cent tariff on the world's most populous country for its use of Russian oil. The new import taxes to be imposed in 21 days could put the combined tariffs on Indian goods at 50 per cent. Apple's new pledge comes just a few weeks after it forged a USD 500 million deal with MP Materials, which runs the only rare earths producer in the country. That agreement will enable MP Materials to expand a factory in Texas to use recycled materials to produce magnets that make iPhones vibrate. Speaking on a recent investors call, Cook emphasised that 'there is a load of different things done in the United States". As examples, he cited some of the iPhone components made in the US such as the device's glass display and module for identifying people's faces and then indicated the company was gearing to expand its productions of other components in its home country. 'We are doing more in this country, and that is on top of having roughly 19 billion chips coming out of the US now, and we will do more," Cook told analysts last week, without elaborating. News of Apple's latest investment in the US caused the company's stock price to surge by nearly 6 per cent in Wednesday's midday trading. That gains reflect investors' relief that Cook 'is extending an olive branch" to the Trump administration, said Nancy Tengler, CEO of money manager Laffer Tengler Investments, which owns Apple stock. Despite Wednesday's upturn, Apple's shares are still down by 14 per cent this year, a reversal of fortune that has also been driven by the company's botched start in the pivotal field of artificial intelligence. PO on the mic: Singer who called govt house a jail busted after 10 years
1 2 Chandigarh: Declared a proclaimed offender in 2016, Sirsa resident Jagsir Singh evaded police for nine years by constantly changing his location and identity. However, his run ended with a dramatic revelation on Wednesday — he is Punjabi singer Baaz Sran, who just two months ago released a song likening a 'Sarkari Kothi' (govt residence) to a jail. In an irony of sorts, the lyrics of the song 'Sarkari Kothi' — which has 13 lakh views on YouTube — go: 'Jattan di sarkari kothi hundi jail kuddey (The official residence of Jatts is jail, lady).' Sran, who has 32,600 followers on Instagram and has sung duets with female singers like Deepak Dhillon and Gurlez Akhtar, was arrested by the Chandigarh zonal unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with the alleged seizure of 36kg opium in 2015. Sran hails from Malikpura village in Haryana's Sirsa district. An official privy to the case said Baaz himself penned the lyrics and composed his songs. In May 2025, NCB published Jagsir's details in leading newspapers and announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for information leading to his arrest. Based on inputs received thereafter, he was arrested on Wednesday, the NCB said in a statement. The statement added: "During his absconding period, he gained popularity as a singer on social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram, amassing millions of views under a different identity. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Learn More - How Donating Plasma May Boost Your Income SpellRock Undo " At the time of his arrest, Sran was accompanied by a woman, said an official. The official added that a co-accused in the opium seizure had already been convicted. The official added that though Sran had was facing a drug seizure case, he did not consume them. "He is a fitness freak. He had just finished running and was exercising when we nabbed him. While he was involved in the drugs case and promotes drugs and weapons in the songs, he himself does not consume drugs," added the official. 'Sarkari Kothi': A song about life of crime In the song 'Sarkari Kothi', Baaz Sran has also penned lyrics about facing charges under the Arms Act and an 'attempt to murder' charge against him. The lyrics go: "25, 54, 59 laggi naal 307 de ni, jail diyaan baahlian likhiyaan karman vich jatt de di (I have been charged with sections 25, 54 and 59, along with Section 307. A long stay in jail is written in Jatt's fate)."
