
HBL Engineering wins Rs 101.55 crore Kavach contract from IRCON
HBL Engineering Limited (formerly HBL Power Systems Limited) has received a Letter of Acceptance from IRCON International Limited for the implementation of the Kavach system, an indigenous Automatic Train Protection (ATP) technology. The awarded project covers the Bangalore and Mysore divisions of South Western Railway.
The contract includes the provision of Kavach across 85 railway stations, covering a total route length of 778 kilometers and installation on two locomotives. The total contract value is Rs. 101.55 crores, inclusive of 18% GST. The project is expected to be completed within a period of 18 months.
This order adds to HBL Engineering's growing order book, which now stands at Rs. 3,865.43 crores. The contract is domestic in nature, and there is no involvement or interest from the company's promoters, promoter group, or group companies. The transaction does not fall under the category of related party transactions and has been executed on an arm's length basis.

As part of the agreement, JK Lakshmi Cement will acquire a 26% equity stake in the SPV for up to ₹4 crore. This strategic investment aligns with the company's goal to enhance renewable power sourcing and reduce energy costs at its manufacturing locations. The project involves setting up a 4 MWp wind and solar hybrid power plant under the captive power route. The SPV, incorporated on August 1, 2022, is backed by project implementor Shivman Wind Energy Private Limited. Though the SPV reported no turnover or profit as of FY25, it has a net worth of ₹77.56 crore. Following the acquisition, Opera Vayu (Narmada) will become an associate company of JK Lakshmi Cement, providing clean energy at competitive rates for 12 years. The transaction, not falling under related party arrangements, will be completed by December 31, 2025, and is structured as a cash deal. No regulatory approvals are required. Delhivery Q1 Results: Net profit surges 67% YoY to Rs 91 crore, revenue up nearly 6% YoY
Delhivery Limited reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of FY26, driven by healthy growth across key logistics segments. The company posted a net profit of ₹91 crore in Q1, up 67% from ₹54 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from services rose 6% year-on-year to ₹2,294 crore, compared to ₹2,172 crore in Q1 FY25. EBITDA came in at ₹149 crore, reflecting a 53% jump from ₹97 crore last year, with margins improving to 6.5% from 4.5%. The performance was supported by solid growth in Express Parcel and Part Truck Load businesses. Shipment volumes in the Express Parcel segment touched 208 million, up 14% year-on-year, while revenue from this segment grew 10% to ₹1,403 crore. In the Part Truck Load business, tonnage rose 15% to 458K MT, and revenue increased 17% to ₹508 crore. The segment's service EBITDA margin expanded sharply to 10.7%, up from 3.2% last year. However, some softness was seen in other verticals. Supply Chain Services revenue fell to ₹205 crore from ₹259 crore, Truckload services slipped to ₹148 crore from ₹156 crore, and Cross-Border Services declined to ₹24 crore from ₹43 crore year-on-year. Delhivery is also expanding its newer offerings. Its quick commerce initiative, Delhivery Rapid, is now operating 20 stores across three cities, with a monthly revenue run rate of ₹1.2 crore and plans to double store count by the end of FY26.
