Ezequiel Tovar's 8th inning homer rallies Rockies past Orioles
Mickey Moniak and Thairo Estrada also homered, while Hunter Goodman and Jordan Beck each had two hits for the Rockies, who have posted a three-game winning streak for only the third time this season.
Jordan Westburg, Tyler O'Neill, Coby Mayo and Alex Jackson all hit solo home runs for the Orioles, who dropped to 2-6 since the All-Star break. Jackson Holliday rapped three hits. Andrew Kittredge (1-2) took the loss.
Orioles' starter Dean Kremer allowed five runs on six hits in six innings. He walked two and struck out five.
Holliday's two-out single for his third hit of the game tied the game at 5-5 in the seventh. Despite going up that run, Jake Bird (4-1) was the winning pitcher.
Rockies starter Kyle Freeland gave up solo home runs to four of the first nine batters he faced, but he was in line to be the winning pitcher when he exited the game.
Freeland worked six innings, surrendering seven hits and four runs. He struck out four with one walk, and was in line to be the winning pitcher when he departed.
Westburg's 11th homer and O'Neill's fourth came across a three-batter stretch in the first inning. It marked O'Neill's second long ball since he returned from the injured list early this month.
Mayo led off the second inning with his second home run. Jackson's homer later in the second marked his second home run in 11 games since joining the Orioles in early July.
Moniak's homer with two outs in the third made it 4-1. Estrada's two-run blast came in the fourth and closed Colorado's deficit to 4-3.
Goodman's double tied the score in the fifth and Beck followed with a go-ahead single.
Earlier in the day, the Rockies traded third baseman Ryan McMahon to the New York Yankees in exchange for a pair of minor leaguers.

July 28 - The Astros capped another week of variance on Sunday by losing the finale of a four-game series against the Athletics 7-1, which sent Houston to its ninth loss in its last 10 home games. Valdez is 1-0 with a 1.23 ERA in two career starts against the Nationals. The Chicago Cubs will send All-Star left-hander Matthew Boyd (11-3, 2.20 ERA) to face the host Milwaukee Brewers, who will send All-Star right-handed rookie Jacob Misiorowski (4-1, 2.45) to the mound. The teams are tied atop of the NL Central with identical 62-43 records. Chicago took two of three from the Chicago White Sox over the weekend, while Milwaukee avoided a three-game sweep with a 3-2 win over the visiting Miami Marlins on Sunday. The Cubs have won three of the teams' first five meetings this season, including two of three in Milwaukee in early May. Chicago left fielder Ian Happ is looking forward to this week's return trip. "It'll be a great atmosphere," Happ said. "We're going up there just trying to play our game and good baseball. And I think there'll be a lot of noise around it. July 28 (Reuters) - World record holder Regan Smith was fastest in the women's 100 metres backstroke preliminaries at the world championships in Singapore on Monday as the American laid down an early marker in her upcoming battle with Australia's Kaylee McKeown. The pair have built up quite the rivalry, with McKeown completing a triumphant defence of her Olympic 100 and 200 backstroke titles when the two faced off in Paris last year, with Smith having to settle for silver in both events. Smith came into the world championships as the top seed in the event ahead of five-times Olympic gold medallist McKeown and posted a time 58.20 on the second day of competition at the Singapore Sports Hub. American Katharine Berkoff was second quickest with 58.55, while 2023 world champion McKeown's time of 58.57 put her in third heading into the semis later on Monday.
