Coronation Street lines up dramatic exit for character
As James packs his bags and prepares to leave for America, will he take baby Laila with him for good this time?
Whilst looking after baby Laila, James is forced to make a huge decision about his future when his phone rings with news about a job back in America.
Confirming that he's still interested in the role, James packs his bags and gets ready to leave.
Friends again 🥺 ❤️ #Corrie pic.twitter.com/t6g3rBWlod
"James' return to Weatherfield hasn't quite been as smooth as he'd hoped," our Corrie insider says.
"With so much drama and bad blood now between him and his sister, and the rest of the Bailey family stuck in the middle, he's eager to get away and back to his life in the States. The question is, will he take baby Laila with him and rip her away from her family and birth mother?"
Leading up to James' decision to leave, there's conflict among the Baileys after Dee-Dee and James meet with a family facilitator.
"After Dee-Dee had Laila christened behind James' back, he's gunning for legal custody," Digital Spy reports.
"At the meeting for the Special Guardianship Order, James is nervous, despite the fact that Dee-Dee has been adamant that she doesn't want to be a mum to Laila.
"It remains to be seen whether James' conflicted sister will actually turn up to their meeting or not – but Ed has to plead with his kids to clear the air at breakfast the following morning."
It's not all doom and gloom for Dee-Dee, though, as later in the week she takes on a new client at work, only to discover that it is in fact, Ollie.

"When Dee-Dee sees Ollie again, she can't help but smile," says our insider.
"There's an undeniable spark between them, and now that they'll be getting closer at Barlow Legal Services, there could be a well-deserved romance on the cards for Dee-Dee with her mysterious new client."
As James says, see you later on the Street once again. Will Dee-Dee's daughter be taken far away from her before she has the chance to fight for her?
Oh we just love the drama!
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.

Who is Tia Wardley in Coronation Street? True identity 'solved' in Lisa twist
Coronation Street fans think they know who Tia Wardley really is after Carla Connor was given the name by Logan Radcliffe after asking about Lisa Swain's late wife Becky Tia Wardley in Coronation Street has certainly got viewers speculating over their mystery identity. The name was mentioned on Friday, and it was hinted they were linked to the case surrounding Becky Swain's demise. Lisa Swain is still struggling to move past the death of her police officer wife Becky years earlier, even looking into the case. It comes after suggestion earlier this year that Becky may have been a corrupt officer, leading to her possibly being killed. Becky died in the line of duty, hit by a car which was later revealed to have been driven by Logan and Matty Radcliffe. It was their hints about Becky that left Lisa fearing Becky was in trouble and may have deliberately been killed. But as she and others went snooping this week, she was stopped by her superior DI Costello who clearly knows more than he's letting on. He won't go into matters with Lisa and threatened punishment when he caught her looking at files on his computer. With Carla Connor trying to help her parnter Lisa get the answer she desperately needs, she went to see Logan in prison. All Logan would say was the name Tia Wardley, demanding money for any new information. But something happened to Logan before anyone would have the chance to see him again. It was because of the chat with Carla and the name he'd shared that he learned from a cellmate how he'd upset a "mutual friend". It seems Logan then got a beating or worse, with fans convinced he may be dead. So who is Tia, and why are so many people covering up what went down? Why is Costello so eager to silence any investigation into Becky's death, and why is it so important that Logan doesn't spill anything about Becky, or even the mystery Tia? Fans think it has everything to do with Tia's identity, and that she and Becky may be linked. In fact fans think Becky isn't actually dead, and she could have been given a new identity. Fans are wondering if Tia is Becky under a new name, and that there is much more to be exposed. Perhaps this is why Logan mentioned the name, or maybe why Costello is possibly covering things up. Could that be Becky's cover name if she was corrupt?" A third fan said: "Becky is 'Tia Wardley'?" A fourth fan posted: "Tia Wardley will be Becky?!" as another agreed: "Could 'Tia Wardley' be Becky's new identity since after she 'died'?" The comments kept on coming too, with one fan writing: "Becky swain is Tia Wardley." A final comment said: "Becky is in witness protection and Tia Wardley is her alias, that's why Carla couldn't find anything and why they don't want Lisa AND Kit digging."

Coronation Street star announces abrupt exit as character 'killed off' without warning
One Coronation Street star confirmed they had left the ITV soap with their final scenes airing on Friday, with fans convinced their character was killed off in a twist A Coronation Street star has confirmed their exit from the ITV soap and it's already aired. In a brutal twist their character may have been killed off, after the actor's farewell post left fans convinced they were "brown bread". Logan Radcliffe was back on the ITV soap this week, visited in prison by Carla Connor. She was desperate for answers on what happened to her partner Lisa Swain's late wife Becky Swain. It comes as Lisa was struggling to move forward, not knowing for sure if Becky was in trouble before her death and why she was killed, accident or not, and Carla wanted to help. She visited Logan who demanded £10,000 for information he may have on Becky. He then let slip a name, Tia Wardley, while no context was given. Whoever she is, it was enough to land Logan in trouble with a cellmate over a "mutual friend" he'd upset. He was told he had said too much, and with that his cell door was closed with it clear he was in danger. As the episode came to an end, actor Harry Lowbridge, who pays Logan, took to Instagram to announce his exit from the show. Confirming his final scenes had now aired, the ones with the random cellmate, he confirmed post-attack he would not be seen again. With that, fans were convinced Logan was now dead. They beloeved whoever Tia was, fake or not, he'd said too much and a mystery person made the cellmate punish him. Fans believe it will emerge that Logan is dead, killed in his cell, with the actor confirming no more scenes were planned. He shared on Instagram: "Farewell Logan. It's been a blast x." Taking to social media after the post and the scenes, fans shared their theories that the soap had just killed off a character without warning. One viewer said: "So Logan is brown bread then?" Another fan agreed: "RIP Logan," as a third viewer said; "So Logan gets killed off in prison then!" A further comment read; "Harry posting a goodbye? Has Logan been killed in prison?" The comments kept on coming with one fan writing: "Okay so when Logan is killed in prison then what?!" Whether Logan is dead or alive is yet to be revealed despite suspicions, with fans wondering if he will return at some point - and if we will find out who it was that orchestrated the attack. Then there's the fact that Tia could or could not be linked to the plot. Why are people so desperate to keep the truth hidden too? All will have to be revealed at some point. Helen Flanagan breaks silence on 'broke' claims after selling £1m home she shared with Scott Sinclair
The ex-Corrie star is selling the beloved family home she once shared with her ex Scott Sinclair Helen Flanagan has responded to claims she's "skint" after selling the £1m home she once shared with ex-fiancée Scott Sinclair. The actress addressed rumours that have been circulating for months suggesting she's facing financial troubles - and that she's flogging the pricey Cheshire property she previously shared with Scott due to money woes. The former Coronation Street star, who played Rosie, parted ways with the former Celtic footballer and the father of her children, Matilda, 10, Delilah, seven, and Charlie, four, in 2022 following a 13-year romance. In an exclusive chat with OK! magazine, the reality star hit back at speculation around her moving situation, stating firmly: "That's not why I'm selling". The 34-year-old said upping sticks was more emotional than financial. "I'm not in a financial crisis," Helen told the outlet. "I'm moving because I really need a fresh start. Scott surprised me with this house and it was always supposed to be our happy family home. And it wasn't that. "I like to be light-hearted and I hate to sound depressing, but there is a sadness in this house." She went on: "It's been a turbulent three years since we split and I need to start afresh. I want to eventually move to London, but for now we'll stay close to the kids' schools. I don't want to disrupt them. "When you're a mum, you're thinking about the children first and foremost." Helen separated from Robbie Talbot, 45, in May whom she was dating whilst filming Celebs Go Dating last year after a year together - though she says there are "no hard feelings" and the relationship simply "ran its course". Regarding co-parenting her energetic trio with Scott, Helen admitted: "When you break up with someone, emotions are raw. It can take a long time for those emotions to calm down. And sometimes, even now, we don't get on. "But on the whole, we can actually be in the same room together. He's the father of my children; I was with him since I was 19 and I'm always going to have love for him – but it doesn't mean we want to be together. "I don't have any bad feelings towards Scott, though sometimes he drives me absolutely mad." Just last month, Scott, 36, moved back into Helen's house despite blocking her on social media last year and Helen claiming they "don't like each other". Fans were surprised and left wondering what was going on. "The girls' birthdays are close together and we both wanted to be around for that, so he stayed at the house for a little while," Helen explained. "That was really nice for the children, to see their parents be OK with each other." When questioned whether having the children most of the time whilst Scott pursues his football career creates any bitterness, Helen swiftly dismissed the notion. "No," she responded immediately. "Because he's massively financially provided for our children, both for their future and with the house we live in. Also, I quite like the fact that I've got them most of the time. "I get quite anxious without them, it would make me feel quite sad if they're not with me. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! I've booked myself into panto as a distraction." Elsewhere, Helen revealed she has a "secret acting job" at the beginning of next year that will take her through to March. And after everything that's happened over the last year, she now wants to focus on her family and career. "I'm done with men for the time being," she laughed before adding: "I'm actually quite sensitive and... struggle with dating a bit. I feel like there's always something with men. I want to be single and keep my peace."
