Helen Flanagan breaks silence on 'broke' claims after selling £1m home she shared with Scott Sinclair

The ex-Corrie star is selling the beloved family home she once shared with her ex Scott Sinclair
Helen Flanagan has responded to claims she's "skint" after selling the £1m home she once shared with ex-fiancée Scott Sinclair. The actress addressed rumours that have been circulating for months suggesting she's facing financial troubles - and that she's flogging the pricey Cheshire property she previously shared with Scott due to money woes.

The former Coronation Street star, who played Rosie, parted ways with the former Celtic footballer and the father of her children, Matilda, 10, Delilah, seven, and Charlie, four, in 2022 following a 13-year romance.

In an exclusive chat with OK! magazine, the reality star hit back at speculation around her moving situation, stating firmly: "That's not why I'm selling". The 34-year-old said upping sticks was more emotional than financial.

"I'm not in a financial crisis," Helen told the outlet. "I'm moving because I really need a fresh start. Scott surprised me with this house and it was always supposed to be our happy family home. And it wasn't that.
"I like to be light-hearted and I hate to sound depressing, but there is a sadness in this house."
She went on: "It's been a turbulent three years since we split and I need to start afresh. I want to eventually move to London, but for now we'll stay close to the kids' schools. I don't want to disrupt them.
"When you're a mum, you're thinking about the children first and foremost."
Helen separated from Robbie Talbot, 45, in May whom she was dating whilst filming Celebs Go Dating last year after a year together - though she says there are "no hard feelings" and the relationship simply "ran its course".

Regarding co-parenting her energetic trio with Scott, Helen admitted: "When you break up with someone, emotions are raw. It can take a long time for those emotions to calm down. And sometimes, even now, we don't get on.
"But on the whole, we can actually be in the same room together. He's the father of my children; I was with him since I was 19 and I'm always going to have love for him – but it doesn't mean we want to be together.

"I don't have any bad feelings towards Scott, though sometimes he drives me absolutely mad."
Just last month, Scott, 36, moved back into Helen's house despite blocking her on social media last year and Helen claiming they "don't like each other". Fans were surprised and left wondering what was going on.

"The girls' birthdays are close together and we both wanted to be around for that, so he stayed at the house for a little while," Helen explained. "That was really nice for the children, to see their parents be OK with each other."
When questioned whether having the children most of the time whilst Scott pursues his football career creates any bitterness, Helen swiftly dismissed the notion.
"No," she responded immediately. "Because he's massively financially provided for our children, both for their future and with the house we live in. Also, I quite like the fact that I've got them most of the time.

"I get quite anxious without them, it would make me feel quite sad if they're not with me.

"This Christmas will be sad, as they're spending it with Scott. I've booked myself into panto as a distraction."
Elsewhere, Helen revealed she has a "secret acting job" at the beginning of next year that will take her through to March. And after everything that's happened over the last year, she now wants to focus on her family and career.
"I'm done with men for the time being," she laughed before adding: "I'm actually quite sensitive and... struggle with dating a bit. I feel like there's always something with men. I want to be single and keep my peace."

Love Island couple ordered to leave the villa just hours before ITV final

One Love Island couple are being voted out of the villa by their former islanders. As we gear up for the semi-final of one of the most explosive Love Island seasons yet, two more islanders are set to be ruthlessly dumped from the villa, as they are voted out by their former friends and rivals, who aren't holding back. ‌ One couple won't make it to the final of the show, as the latest teaser reveals a tense moment where all the previously dumped Islanders return to the villa for one last, game changing decision. ‌ The official Love Island account took to Instagram to share the short clip from Sunday evening's episode, alongside the caption: "First look! Ex-Islanders return for a savage dumping, and they're not holding back." ‌ Host Maya Jama appears to have returned to the villa one last time before she gets ready for the final, and is seen entering the villa to announce the latest twist. After a dramatic slow-motion walk into the villa, Maya shouts: "Hello, hello, hello. Are you alright my loves? How was the dates? Are you all loved up? Well I have some very important news. Can you come and join me on the lawn?" The remaining couples in the villa are Yas and Jamie, Cach and Toni, Harry and Shakira, Ty and Angel, and Meg and Dejon, the Mirror reports. Maya delivers the news: "Well today, one more couple will be dumped from the Love Island villa and that decision will be made by some very familiar faces." ‌ Among the returning islanders is Sophie Lee, who joined at the start of the series and became the first to be dumped on day two. Viewers will also see the return of Tommy who was once considered a frontrunner to win, before being dumped by Shakira. The teaser sent fans into a frenzy as they speculated which couple the dumped islanders would be giving the boot. One viewer wrote: "Sorry, but after Thursday and Friday, it's gotta be Meg and Dejon. Their time is up", while another simply stated: "Harry & Shakira.. your time is up!" ‌ A third shared their thoughts and penned: "For all the years of watching Love Island, it's my first time feeling this nervous about the finals. I swear my anxiety level is through the roof." A forth fan stated: "Do the right thing and only let Yas, Jamie, or Cach near that money for goodness sake," while another expressed: "I swear if Shakira, Toni, or Yaz go home, I might have to have some therapy sessions" Only time will tell who the dumped Islanders will vote for and which couple will say their goodbyes just a day before the final. Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, and the final will air tomorrow (August 4) at 9pm.

Coronation Street fans 'rumble' who Floyd phoned about Lisa in 'Tia twist'

Coronation Street fans saw Lisa Swain's therapist Floyd making a 'suspicious' phone call about her after their session on the ITV soap, and fans think it's linked to Tia Wardley Therapist Floyd on Coronation Street may have some explaining to do after a "suspicious" phone call. ‌ Now, some fans think they have figured out who he was on the phone to in a cryptic chat after a therapy session with Lisa Swain. It could be a mystery new character if fans are correct, with viewers now suspecting Floyd could be corrupt. ‌ It comes as Carla Connor was snooping into the death of partner Lisa's ex-wife Becky Swain, who died in the line of duty years earlier. Lisa is also digging into the police officer's death, and she tearfully confessed to Floyd on Friday that she believed her wife may have been in trouble, amid continuing mystery surrounding what led to her death. ‌ As she confessed her fears, explaining that the Radcliffe brothers had implied there was more to what happened to her, she admitted her daughter Betsy Swain had visited one of them, Logan, for answers. But Floyd suggested to her the pair may just be trying to get to her. He asked her if she truly thought her wife was corrupt, or maybe Logan and Matty Radcliffe were lying because they had a grudge against her after their recent arrests. Lisa appeared to come around to the latter idea, while she admitted "you never truly know anyone". ‌ As the session ended, Floyd checked in with her and she said: "Maybe you're right," questioning if she'd "been kidding herself" as Floyd seemed keen for her not to believe Becky was corrupt. It's then as Lisa left the room that Floyd got his phone out and called a mystery person. He told the mystery caller: "I think I made a breakthrough with Swain." So was he calling someone to let them know Lisa may drop the Becky case? ‌ Was it Costello, who was seen on his phone after? Was it the person who later told a prisoner to attack Logan after his comments to Carla? Viewers even wondered if it was the mystery Tia Wardley, the name Logan gave to Carla. One fan said: "I think we were meant to believe Floyd was ringing Costello after Lisa's therapy session but what if it was this Tia Wardley??" Another fan said: "Costello." A third fan posted: "Floyd the therapist is compromised, he's part of the it! Costello sent him to shut Lisa down and stop her digging into Becky." Another viewer said: "Who was Floyd on the phone to - was it Costello?"
