Many fragrance enthusiasts know that top-tier perfumes often come with a hefty price tag and that budget-friendly options can often fall short. But Superdrug shoppers are raving about a perfume that's being hailed as smelling very similar to a high-end Tom Ford fragrance - and it's £12.
While the luxurious Lost Cherry by Tom Ford costs £290 for just 50ml, the affordable alternative called Cherry Noir, is a massive £278 cheaper. Fans are claiming it smells identical to the original and are praising its impressive staying power saying it "lasts all day."
While the scent doesn't reveal the breakdown of its fragrance notes online, it does features cherry, amber, sandalwood, vanilla, musk and coconut. The bitter almond, plum and cinnamon found in Lost Cherry do not seem to be present in the £12 Cherry Noir fragrance.
The budget-friendly perfume has achieved an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 on Superdrug, according to the Manchester Evening News. One customer commented: "Amazing! I have had Tom Ford's Lost Cherry, I've had more expensive [alternatives] to Lost Cherry...I came across this and it smells exactly like it! A tiny fraction of the hundreds of pounds you would pay for Tom Ford and a smell that lasts all day, even through a 14hr shift at work. I'm amazed and I'll be buying this over and over again!"
Another customer added: "This is supposed to be an [alternative] for Tom ford lost cherry however I have never smelt that before so can't compare. However I absolutely love this scent, it's definitely got notes of cherry which is a scent I already adore but it's also long lasting which is fantastic as some perfumes only last a couple of hours. It's a decent size bottle for the price too, I am very impressed with this perfume and look forward to trying more of this range."

This scent is being compared to Tom Ford's Lost Cherry, which is £290 for 50ml
One was disappointed by a 'medicinal' note though, explaining: "Cherry Noir definitely smells very similar to the Lost Cherry fragrance, especially once the perfume has settled on the skin. However, the opening notes of Cherry Noir smell very synthetic and almost medicinal, which initially put me off the scent. Cherry Noir comes in the standard white bottle that all Artiscent fragrances use. The bottle is 50ml, so it's convenient to take along during daily activities or travel. In terms of lasting power, this stayed on my skin for around 6 hours. I wore it to work and could still faintly smell it at the end of the day."
Meanwhile another commented: "Perfume for the spring. The freshness of juicy cherries smells sweet and mysterious. Amber and Sandalwood gives a lovely warmth to the scent. It lingers for a long time on the skin and even longer on my clothes. it's a great choice for everyday, This is affordable yet screams luxury from the bottles minimalistic design to the scent."
The 'premium' fragrance isn't the only product at Superdrug drawing comparisons to high-end alternatives. The 100ml £3.50 Fruity Mist Caramel and Pistachio is being likened to Sol de Janeiro's Cheirosa 62 - with customers claiming it's superior.
One declared: "Before trying this mist, I was worried that it would be too sweet, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of freshness it gives. Save your money on Sol de Janeiro and buy this, you won't regret."

The there is the hefty 120g tub of B. Melting Cleansing Balm - a fragrance-free and sensitive skin-friendly way to remove makeup. One customer commented: "Lovely product, skin texture is noticeably softer and smoother directly after use...I would prefer if it had a subtle natural spa smell but then guess that'd make it Elemis and potentially irritable - maybe make 2 versions?" The Elemis balm in question sells for £52 for a 100g tub.
Also available is the Optimum Collagen Day Cream, priced at £15 or £7.50 for members, which has been likened to Elemis with the brand's Pro-Collagen Marine Cream (£95 for 50ml).

Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen sad over devastating farm discovery 'it's a tragedy'

Amanda Owen was left emotional as she discovered the tragic reason why the original owner of Anty John's came back to live in the farmhouse Amanda Owen was visibly moved as she and her youngest daughter, Clemmie, made a heartbreaking discovery on their farm. ‌ In a repeat episode of Our Farm Next Door airing tonight, the mother-daughter duo delved into the history of Anty John's, a run-down farmhouse they're currently restoring. ‌ Their friend and historian, Derek, unearthed the diary of Anthony Clarkson, the original owner of Anty John's, revealing a sorrowful tale. ‌ The trio learned that Anthony returned home after his father's death, a story that resonated deeply with them. Derek shared with Clemmie: "Anthony Clarkson, whom you know all about. He used to stay with his brothers in some of the cottages here in Stonesdale," reports the Manchester Evening News. "You're a family of nine children, aren't you? He was a family of nine as well." ‌ As Derek showed them Anthony's original diary, Amanda remarked, "That's the first time Clem has actually seen the original. It's been a long time getting to this place. I feel like the connection now will be even stronger." Derek continued: "The very end part of his diary, he regularly used to stay with his brothers, and then he would walk across the top to Anty John's. ‌ "What we're hoping to do is to actually retrace some of that part of the route. Let's see if we can paint a better picture of what was actually going on at the time." "When his father died here in 1818, things changed," Derek revealed about Anthony's life, prompting Amanda to add: "That brought him back, didn't it?" ‌ Anthony continued: "That brought him back, and he spent a lot of time here." "Can you imagine that?" Amanda said before adding, "He's away from his school teaching, and he finds out his dad has died." Whilst portions of Anthony's diary proved challenging to decipher, Derek managed to make out some sections using a magnifying glass. ‌ Handing it to Amanda, she read aloud: "So, Friday, the sixth of February, I went up and met my nephew, John. He came with the melancholy news of my father's death. He died this morning, about seven o'clock." Sharing her own reflections, the mother of nine added: "So it obviously wasn't expected. It was a big surprise, a shock. "Oh, so suddenly he's got to return and begin making choices about what's going to become of his father's inheritance, essentially, what's going to become of the farm. "So it all started with something of a tragedy. His dad passing away. He returns, and Anthony has acquired what we call Anty John's." Our Farm Next Door is available to watch on All4.

Strictly Come Dancing star issues touching tribute 'you sacrificed everything'

Amy Dowden has shared a heartfelt tribute to her father on a momentous day, declaring he 'sacrificed everything' for his family. The Strictly Come Dancing star, who is currently gearing up for her comeback to the dance floor along with two new professionals, turned to social media on Friday (August 8) to honour her dad Richard as he marked his birthday and retirement. The BBC star who has been vocal about her gratitude towards her parents for their unwavering support throughout both her dancing career and her recent breast cancer battle, posted a collection of photographs featuring the duo together. She began with a beautiful image of Richard standing beside her on her wedding day several years ago when she married fellow dancer, Ben Jones. Accompanying the post, Amy wrote: "Happy birthday, HAPPY RETIREMENT DAD! I'm so happy you're finally going to get the rest you so deserve! I'm so proud your my dad! Since I can remember you showed us what hard work, dedication, commitment and loyalty to your family truly is. (Image: INSTAGRAM/AMYDOWDEN) "Everything you did was for us. Love you like everyone who meets you! See you later dad xxx @richard_dowden." And the heartfelt messages of love and support quickly poured in, reports the Manchester Evening News. One person said: "Lovely moments. Happiest birthday and a well-earned retirement to your wonderful dad." Another fan wrote: "Wonderful photos - Happy Birthday and Retirement day to your Dad." Someone else commented: "Such lovely photos, your folks look wonderful. Happy Retirement to your dad." While one person shared: "Lovely photos. Happy Birthday and Retirement to your lovely dad." Another posted: "Beautiful photos happy birthday and retirement to your Dad." With someone else adding: "Fabulous pictures! Wishing you a very happy retirement day Richard'. Have a lovely time celebrating with your lovely family." This follows Amy revealing that it has been 'quite the journey' since her cancer diagnosis as she marked two years since beginning treatment for the condition. The Welsh performer was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023, and later underwent a single mastectomy and chemotherapy. Subsequently, in February 2024, she informed supporters that there was "no evidence of disease" and she battled back to return to Strictly for the 2024 series, where she was paired with JLS star JB Gill. The duo were progressing well in the contest, but Amy sustained an injury, unconnected to her previous health challenges, to her foot and was forced to pull out of the competition, leaving her devastated. Now, with the 2025 series of the BBC One dance competition just around the corner, Amy has been spotted in rehearsals alongside her fellow professional dancers, yet she remains constantly reminded of her previous ordeal. (Image: Nadiya Bychkova Instagram) Taking to Instagram, she posted a clip from during her treatment two years prior, which had been filmed for her BBC documentary, Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me. The devastating footage showed the 34-year-old in floods of tears as she reached the hospital to begin her treatment. Accompanying the clip, the Welsh performer penned: "Two years ago today, I've been reminded. "I'm honestly feeling stronger, happier and HEALTHIER than ever! So grateful and just want to remind those who need - this too shall pass. I'm forever grateful and don't ever take for granted how I'm feeling. This a reminder to live life to the fullest and to remember to check yourself. If you aren't who is going to? Early detection can save lives." After sharing the footage, Amy uploaded a recent photograph of herself radiating joy during dance rehearsals. Next to the image, she penned: "To now, living my best life in rehearsals. "Be patient, be kind to yourself, and celebrate all the wins along the way. It's been quite the journey and process to get here and certainly not easy at times but I'm so glad I pushed through and my love for dance is MORE than ever (didn't know that even was possible, but it is!) Strictly Come Dancing is set to air on BBC One later this year.

Princess Andre responds to Katie Price 'rift' and sheds light on birthday 'snub' claims

Princess Andre has broken her silence on feud rumours with her mum Katie Price after the glamour model revealed she was 'upset' not to be featured on her new ITV2 show Princess Andre has broken her silence on feud rumours with her mum Katie Price after the former glamour model revealed she was 'upset' about not being featured in her daughter's new show. ‌ The 18-year-old's new reality-series The Princess Diaries will air on ITV2 tomorrow night (Sunday, 10 August) but Katie, 47, will has said she's upset as she wasn't asked to take part. ‌ Budding star Princess has been busy carving out her own career in the spotlight and the documentary will showcase everything she's been up to over the last few months. But, days before the show's release, Katie took to her podcast to share her upset. It comes after Katie Price reaches out to Harvey's lookalike half-brother but fears 'he's too scared'. ‌ ‌ In this week's episode of The Katie Price podcast, Katie said there is no rift between herself and her daughter, but fumed: 'But what hurts my feelings – and it does upset me – is when your kids grow up, you go to their assemblies, you go to their Christmas things, you go to their awards, you know, you go to their football matches or their gymnastics, you're involved in everything they do. 'And knowing that what my career has been, Princess is taking that same path – trying to do the same as what I've done – which I absolutely love and adore of Princess but I had not been allowed to go on any photoshoot, no signings or Superdrug openings or anything like that. Why? Because I'm not allowed and I'm not welcome." In the wake of her mother's podcast rant, Princess has broken her silence and shared her side of the story. Denying any fallout, she told Daily Mail: ''It's my show, it's not based on my parents, it's focused on me. To be honest there's no rift between me and either of my parents.' ‌ Elsewhere Katie has recently fumed about not being invited to her daughter's 18th birthday celebrations and claimed she jetted off to Ibiza to get away from it all. Katie said in her podcast: "The reason is because Pete doesn't want to be in the same room as me because I'm his ex. Well, we need to have some home truths here; when the kids get older and they get married is he still going to have the same attitude that only one parent can be there, because I disagree." But now, Princess has denied Katie was banned from the birthday celebration and insisted she had planned to celebrate with her mother separately, as she always does. She expressed: "What I would usually do, as I've done my whole life, would be to spend the morning with one parent and the evening with the other. As it happened, mum ended up being away, and dad had already decided to throw me a last minute birthday party, which we filmed for the show. ‌ "But anyhow, it would be weird if both parents were in the same room, as I'm sure a lot of people out there with divorced parents can relate to." Following Katie's rant on her podcast, Princess' management company CAN group responded to her claims. When contacted by the Mirror, they said: "As a company, our duty of care to our clients is paramount. We would never advise a client on their personal life unless asked and we have never stopped anyone seeing their families." Princess and her older brother Junior, 20, appeared on This Morning on Friday 8 August and insisted they're trying to step outside of their famous parents' shadows to do their own thing. The beauty influencer told guest hosts Joel Dommett and Emma Willis: "I got older and a lot more things have come in for me solo. "A lot of things I used to do was with my parents and now I'm doing a show that is independent and actually focused on me. Now is the right time because my life is busy right now and I want people to see it."
